Nice neighborhood bar. Good selection of beers on tap and cans. There isn't a kitchen but you can bring in food. It's cash only but they have an ATM machine. Friendly owners who work the bar.

My local dive! Reasons why I like Reed's.... ~90% dudes. I'm a girl who likes boys. I do not mind the low female attendance here. ~Awesome bartender. Super friendly. Didn't make my friends and I feel awkward or horrible being newbies. ~Cheap beer & good selection. My lame friend was sad they didn't have any Bud Light but they did have Hamm's & Miller High Life to appease him. For me, they had $5 Revolution Anti-Hero on tap, as well as a decent selection of other craft brews on the cheap. ~Chill atmosphere. Really chill. Good music, good crowd, not overly busy, but not creepily dead either. ~Air hockey foosball dome covered thingie-ma-bob in the back. That's cool yo! ~Amazing rotating Budweiser chandelier with Clydesdales. I like me some Reed's and am psyched it's a block from my place!

I'm a sucker for imperative commands printed on commercial banners. The banner outside says "Drink Local," so that's what I did. It never occurred to me that I had a choice, even though I wasn't even thirsty. Inside it looks just like Wally's Lounge did, only without the Wally. A little cleaner, too. Still one of the last places with a CD-based jukebox and no plans ever to replace it with one of those B-side-killing digital boxes. Plus now they have good beers- Lagunitas Little Sumpin', Bell's Two Hearted, a couple of Revolution options, and the as-yet-untasted Vandermill (?). Special is the Three Eyed Crow, shot of Old Crow and a Hamms, for $4. Plans are in the works for some mild level of fancification in the near post-Wally future, we'll see, but this is a nice bare-bones spot as it is.

Great cider suggestion from the bartender!

Reed's is pretty much everything you would want in a dive bar...friendly bartender, kitschy atmosphere, and cheap beer. I've driven by this place on the way to the highway a million times and never noticed it, but next time I'm in the hood I'd definitely stop in. My friend runs a trivia night periodically at different bars (shout out to Sh*t for Brains!), which brought me in on a Thursday night. We filled most of the tables, but there were def a few regulars bellied up to the bar as well. They've got 5 or 6 beers on tap...which all seemed to be local...Revolution, 5 Rabbit, Metropolitan. But they have a huge assortment of cans, with all of the options lined up across the back of the bar with their prices in front...ranging from $2 Hamms up to like $7 or 8 for tallboys of the good stuff. Most of my guy friends were drinking the Hamms and said it's actually not too bad, so if you feel like pounding some cheap beers this is your place. There is just something fun about drinking cans of beer in a bar. They don't have any food here, but you are welcome to bring your own in. This is right near Kuma's, so you can grab some burgers to go and enjoy some beers here away from the crowd. Oh also be aware that it's cash only, but there is an ATM in the bar. If you're on the hunt for a good dive bar, add this to your list!

We had stopped in to bring a friend to open Mic stand up. He didn't do well, but it was awesome to be a part of it. Apparently, this is part of a large comic-scene in Chicago. This place is a dive, which is what makes it great. I wouldn't normally give a 5-star, but the paintings on the wall (for sale) made it great. And if you see the picture I post for this place, you will see why.

Legit dive. Straight out of the 80s, but clean and with a decent beer selection. Cool art, bubble hockey, nice bartenders, cheap beer.

Hamm's and a shot of Old Crow for $4, good jukebox, karaoke on certain days, and sometimes live music.

Third time at cobblestone and this time was for Valentine's Day. We wanted someplace cozy and cute…read moreand Cobblestone set the bar high with a candlelit dinner. They had a terrific Valentine's Day dinner $95 for two people which included a small amuse-bouche each, an appetizer to share, individual entrees, and a dessert to share. We loved the crispy broccolini and were fighting over it. The entrees were huge portions and packed with flavor. I consider myself a scallop connoisseur and in all the restaurants we've ever been in, these scallops were cooked beautifully. They had a perfect sear to them on the outside but cooked perfectly on the inside as well, 10/10 no notes this is the scallop I will compare all future scallops to. And the duck confit, oh my...we also fought over this dish which paired incredibly well with beans to our surprise. Chocolate cake had a beautiful strawberry sauce on the bottom. Everything was incredible including the service. Cobblestone remains our favorite in the area and is loved by all the locals. Thank you for a perfect Valentine's Day dinner.

Went here for NYE. I was really disappointed by the food. It has good reviews and a friend had been…read moreand liked it. I got the pre fixe menu. The pickled deviled eggs were tasty. It was not an "Amuse bouche" which is a single bite item, it was much more but I'm not complaining about that! The appetizer was grilled octopus over sweet potato mash. I learned that day that sweet and grilled octopus is not a good mix. It was nearly gross. I picked the octopus up and tried to brush off as much of the sweet potatoes and possible. The octopus tasted good but was over cooked. My main was the branzino. It was charred to a crisp and full of bones. It did not taste good and was extremely difficult to eat. I did not taste the German chocolate cake for dessert but was told it was dry and people barely touched it. My husband and others are our table got short rib goulash, which was served like a steak with gravy. It wasn't tender like short rib should be. He said the flavor was good at least. Someone got the fish and chips and said it was flavorless. Someone else got the burger and said it was also charred and over cooked. Over all, pretty disappointed. Cute place with decent service. Hopefully this was just an off night.

The ambiance is really nice without feeling too "stuffy". Bar was gorgeous and service was friendly and helpful, allowing my boyfriend to sample some wines before going in on some bottles. Prices were what you'd expect for a trendy natural wine bar. The complimentary corn nuts in the antique dish were a cute touch. The charcuterie board with mixed meat and cheese was really small though. Only three pieces of cheese for five people... it made it feel like an awkward fight over who'd get to try some. The gluten free crackers were appreciated though. We ended up ordering more food including the "party tray" which I would describe more as charcuterie nachos. We didn't really know what to expect with this one so we got the canned mussels but it really would've tasted better with the prosciutto instead. It included a whipped cheese, olives, and cornichons piled onto potato chips. Less of a tray and more of a nacho-style dish. If we return next time we're in town, I'd skip the food and focus more on the wine. Beyond that, it was a fun time!
