I had such a amazing time at this winery. The setting was absolutely beautiful, it felt magical as the twinkling lights started lighting up. So many wonderful varieties of wine even if you're not a big wine drinker. I will have to go back over and over just to taste them all! 5 Star experience all the way!!! My wife and I were invited to do an Adult Easter Egg Hunt with some friends of ours, and why not? It's typical us hiding eggs and prizes, but this year we found ourselves without young kids or grandkids, so... let's try something new and fun! And fun it was!! When we arrived, we were greeted by the Reed's, and they explained some of the rules, areas that are open for hunting and areas that were not. Once that was explained and how to retrieve your prizes, the gates were opened to a Farm & Garden wonderland. I felt like little Charley when Wonka opened the doors to the Chocolate Factory! We scavenged, scoured, fought off some turkeys and chickens, dodged hanging garden art and whimsical chimes, poked, lifted, prodded, and enjoyed the garden layout. Prizes were high and low, sometimes in your face. What a fun event!! We turned in our prizes, and were able to redeem them inside their wine store. Once inside, they're was plenty of treats and snacks laid out, and our prizes were these mini bottles of their craft wine. My wife cleaned house with about 8-10 bottles, and then we found some that we bought in the adult size bottles. They had samplings of a variety wines, and what's genius way of marketing their product. We walked away with a unique and memorable experience. You can bet that we might pursue this whole Adult Egg hunts LOL ! I'll leave with this... what a wonderful event, where it was great for all adult ages, the wines taste amazing and love what they're doing for this community. What makes a good wine? The fruit! What makes a great wine? The people making the wine! Reed's Sweet Wine is a GREAT wine!! The selection is endless and the flavors are spot on, fresh and delicious! The great part comes from the owners of the winery and trust me when I say, they are the best of the best! Super friendly, super passionate and just all around great folks! We were blessed to spend a couple days with them through Harvest Hosts, an RV program for overnight visits, and will definitely be back as often as they allow us! They were unpacking from a farmer's market our first evening with them and they opened up the tasting room and provided a wonderful education on their wines and the history of Reed's. The tasting room is a rustic wine "cellar" that's nice and cool and easy to get very comfortable in! We bought several small tasting bottles and a larger bottle of the Peach Cobbler to share. We knew we'd be at the farmer's market in the morning to buy our favorites so we weren't worried about not having enough! The blackberry wine ended up being our hands down favorite so off to market we went in the morning! I highly recommend a visit to Reed's Sweet Wine, they definitely have something for everyone as they aren't all as sweet as you'd think! I'm a cabernet lover and there were several that I thoroughly enjoyed! read more

I have always preferred sweet fruit wines but it is difficult to find a winery that produces them. I happened upon Reed's at the Lakewood Farmer's Market, and boy am I glad I did! Bought 2 bottles, Blueberry/Huckleberry and Strawberry and they taste just like the homemade wine my grandmother used to make.
