I've never had to go to two appointments for any spay or neuter in the past so we thought it was odd but moved forward anyways because we liked this Office so much. Since she was already on her cycle, they said they couldn't do the procedure until after she was over it. But they said the pre-check appointment would be fine to conduct. After the pre-check appointment they scheduled the follow up appointment for the procedure. We arrived at the appointment and during intake they stated that there may be an additional charge if they find that she's internally swollen from her cycle. We asked if it would have been better to have come back when we knew for sure she would be ready. They stated yes it would have been better if we had come back the following week when we would know for sure. Are you serious right now? You guys are the ones who setup the follow up appointment! At this point we're now confident that they are either bait and switching or else price gouging. They had already started the intake before we comprehended the predicament they put us in. We ended up getting charged for that appointment (but not the additional precheck steps; whatever that's supposed to mean... again, never had so many appointments for a spay) and left saying we would contact them to schedule another appointment for the following week. I called the following day and then proceeded to call every two days. After the first week, we stopped leaving messages since it was clear no one was listening to them or following up with them. We then proceeded to call every day instead; different times of the day. Here we are, weeks later, no one has returned our phone calls, no one seems to answer the phone, and what's even worse is after those two appointments you would've thought that a "good vet" would have followed up! But nope, dead silence. If I wasn't disabled and hubs wasn't my full-time caretaker then he would've just gone there instead of calling. But leaving the house is extremely challenging for me and leaving me alone is dangerous. So every time we leave the house it's a precarious situation. So you can imagine our frustration with the lack of care that this vet seems to show. They seem to have very little respect for people's lives or time. But this negative review is not based solely on the lack of respect for our lives or time. After all, what's important is the care that our pets receive. As it stands, the multiple appointments for a spay procedure sounds more stressful than helpful to the pets. When it came to the follow up appointments for our other cat and our dog, there were serious discrepancies between the different vets in this office. During a particular follow up for our cat who had kidney stones, the vet went down a laundry list of concerns and we questioned why none of this was brought up just two weeks prior. She seemed to be taken back with our response; it was almost as if she was treating it as a new patient intake appointment. After a few minutes, it was obvious that she hadn't checked his prior records even though this was a "follow up appointment". She claimed it was some excuse about not seeing the correct test. So I'm sorry, you did in fact look at his prior records but acted as if this was a new appointment because you didn't find a specific test? Seriously, what kind of BS excuse is that? And my complaints are obviously nothing new. If you look at their reviews, the complaints are exactly as we state; lack of respect for their patients families and their time, and inconsistent care that could prove to be very dangerous, as is evidenced by their negative reviews. And with each of those negative reviews, they claim that they take the reports very seriously. Clearly that's just a line of BS since they seem to have not improved on those complaints. At this point, we had already decided to not bring our pets back in. We were going to complete our cat's spay procedure and then find another vet. But honestly, I'm not even confident we could move forward with the procedure given all of the scheduling issues... or would they try to charge us for all of that all over again? I've lost any confidence that this vet has any integrity.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience…read more I brought my puppy in because she was shaking her ears a lot and it seemed like something was irritating them. I also mentioned her coughing/gagging symptoms during the visit. The doctor we saw was Dr. Ledezma. We came in thinking it would be a simple ear cleaning, but she ended up being prescribed medication and additional ear treatment. After they put it on her at the clinic, her ears actually got worse and it looked like some irritation may have affected the skin on her ears, so I didn't even use it and had to take her to another vet for a different opinion and to have everything re-checked and cleaned again. For her other symptoms, I was told it was likely related to her recent spay surgery. Later on, another clinic immediately identified it as kennel cough just by examining her throat. I also want to mention she is a shelter puppy, which I did tell them. Knowing that, I would've expected kennel cough to at least be considered as a possibility, since it is very common in shelter dogs, but that wasn't brought up during the visit. During the exam, I also didn't feel very confident in the explanation given, and the overall visit felt unclear. Overall, I ended up spending close to $200 and still had to seek additional care elsewhere shortly after. I did reach out directly before leaving a review to try and resolve things first. They did offer a refund for the medication, which I appreciate, but that was the only adjustment offered. I was still asked to call in to complete the refund due to my overnight work schedule, and they only offered to refund the medication, not the ear-related charges (swab, cleaning, and exam), which made up most of the visit cost. For context, the breakdown was roughly: exam fee ($70), ear swab ($40+), ear cleaning ($40+), and medication ($40+). I've brought my other dog to this clinic before and had good experiences, which is why I initially chose to bring my puppy here. The vet assistants here was are always so nice I can say that. Having a new shelter puppy is already stressful, and this experience added unnecessary stress and additional vet visits that likely could have been avoided. I wish I had paid closer attention to the more mixed reviews beforehand. I'm sharing this just so other pet owners can make a more informed decision. I will not reach out again as this whole situation was just a lot and I gave them an opportunity to resolve this with a few emails back and forth.

His condition rapidly worsened to the point he could not get up without having to endure great pain. We knew that his quality of life would be greatly reduced but taking him to the vet would have put him through undue misery, fear, and stress. We opted for in-home pet euthanasia and contacted Peace for Paws. The care coordinator was very compassionate, empathetic, and sensitive to what we were going through and helped guide us through the decisions we needed to make with great care. She told us what we should expect to happen before, during, and after the appointment and how we should prepare for it. When Dr. Sarena arrived for the appointment, she reviewed the procedure with us. Throughout the procedure, she gave us guidance and the time to say our goodbyes to our beloved pet. Her compassion and care helped to provide our pet with a peaceful and dignified farewell to his family. Dr. Sarena has a true love of animals and doesn't want to see them go through needless suffering and trauma. I highly recommend Peace for Paws and Dr. Sarena for those who wish to give their pets a tranquil and dignified end in the comfort of their home. Thank you so much, Dr. Sarena, for making the entire process unhurried, gentle, and compassionate for our pet and our family.

Pancake is my 17 year old daughter's dog so she was a wreck and crying and I was doing my best to put on a brave face for her. The entire staff was so kind and attentive. We did have to wait over 3 hours before they could get anything started on her as there was a critical case when we came in and a few others with more urgent issues than hers so it was understandable. They continued to acknowledge us through the wait and apologize and check in with us. Every single nurse and assistant who helped us was fantastic. We were there from 1:30am til about 6pm so we had both overnight and day shift helping us and all of them were amazing. Dr. Izaguirre was Pancake's initial Dr when she was admitted. We've had terrible experiences in the past with vet offices trying to push unnecessary diagnostics for profit but this place was the total opposite! They were honest and upfront and didn't try to prematurely push expensive things just because..something I'm super thankful for as a single mom and as someone who would say yes to anything to help our fur babies. Dr. Villanueva took over for Dr. I for the remainder of Pancake's stay and he was equally fantastic. Kept me up to date and was super kind. Dr. Lee wasn't part of Pancake's care team but he was there when we brought her in and was back before we were discharged and he remembered her and kept loving on her and saying how pretty and sweet she was. 100/10 I will recommend this ER vet hospital to anyone looking for someplace to take their sick fur babies when they need immediate vet care. What could have been an extra stressful and emotional night and day was made quite a bit easier because of this amazing hospital and their amazing staff. We cannot thank you enough!
