So, while not exciting, Greystone gets the job done properly. From what I could tell, Ted was incredibly thorough in my inspection, taking photos and voice notes along the way. He checked everything I could think to check, made sure that stuff was up to code, and provided an unbiased summary on the condition of the house. It was easy to schedule a time during the week, he arrived on time, and sent me the digital report within 24 hours of completing the inspection. He was upfront about any issues he found and even provided some insight in to how I could personally make my home more efficient. While I don't have any home inspection companies to compare to, I'm quite pleased with the work provided by Greystone and would highly recommend them.

This company cannot be trusted! They gave me a quote to resurface the tennis courts in my…read moreneighborhood. I negotiated and fully agreed to all the final terms with the owner verbally. When I sent in the signed contract, the owner, Mike McGrath, did not respond for weeks. Finally, he backed out of our agreement, because I did not select an expensive option that more than doubled the cost of the job. The salesman and the owner already knew I would not select that option. McGrath did not have the courtesy to call me, but cancelled by email, after not responding to multiple voice and email messages. This set back the project by weeks. Nobody should do business with a company who conducts business in this manner. Talbot is a major vendor for tennis court construction and repair. It would appear that my project was too small for them to care about. I am spreading the word about their deceitful business practices all over the Atlanta area to directors of tournaments, managers of tennis centers, and tennis players, some of whom volunteer to manage the tennis facilities in their neighborhoods.

For the first time in my life, I decided to get some major work done on my home. Among that was a…read morenew roof, new siding, and painting. I got quote from five different companies and I have to tell you I went with them mostly on the quote. Some things were similar to other companies, but overall was less. Allen and Michael came out to look at the house and discuss the project. They were great about answering questions and sent a quote in a reasonable amount of time. I also initially request quotes for new windows and doors, but I opted to pass on these projects for now. These quotes were also more in my price range than the quotes from other companies. Roof--no problems at all. I expected the roof debris to obliterate things planted near the house, but it was much, much better than I anticipated. Roof looks amazing and it was done quite well. Siding--the quality of the siding job is great. No complaints. It looks great. Painting--this was my favorite crew. Top notch. Excellent painting job and very careful around shrubbery and such. If I could give this group 10 stars, I would. Extra costs--I see that another reviewer complained of extra costs. I read the quote, which is to be signed like a contract, and it explicity lists the exact price they charge for extra things they find. For instance, it would cost me $X for each patch they had to make in the roof decking. I knew going in that the roof would cheaper than the other quotes and this may come back to bite me in the ass. They did, find 6 damaged spots (I know they were there and fully expected at least this much), so I paid $6X extra for these. It was outlined in the quote that way, so that's fair game. PLUS, it was STILL more reasonable than the other quotes. I also elected to have new attic vents installed at the last minute. Once again, I had the option to keep the old ones, but I appreciate they could get that done as part of the work without it being an issue. Obviously a family contracting business, and I am happy to support people in my community. I have to mention that Marilyn does a great job of keeping the business moving on schedule and communicating. Easy to deal with, even when I was being wishy-washy on some things. I would recommend Therma Guard to anyone needing this type of work done!
