I cannot speak highly enough of Amy and Noah at A Trio Jewelry Design Studio. My husband and I were…read morestruggling to find wedding bands that fit our style. We saw reviews of A Trio, and couldn't be happier with designing and purchasing our wedding bands from here. Amy and Noah are so personable and knowledgeable and we're so patient and helpful as we made decisions. I'd also like to credit that Noah spent an equal amount of time with my husband deciding what ring he'd like. Oftentimes the bride gets a lot of the attention, so this was very special and memorable for my husband. We were so impressed by them, we also worked with them to create a custom ring for my mom and purchased a necklace for my husband's mom. As long as we're living in the Milwaukee area, A Trio is where we'll be purchasing jewelry!

I trust this jeweler. Amy graduated a few years behind me from the same design program at MIAD…read more(just down the street). She comes from a line of jewelers. Her husband Noah works there and I believe her dad does too. I first had Amy change my engagement ring into a pink sapphire (life changes) and she was really great about kindly suggesting what would work well but happy to take my decision (I went with her recommendation and loved it). Just now I dropped off my beloved late grandmother's engagement ring that I inherited because it lost a tiny stone. They were super sweet about advising what would match, and they said I don't need all the prongs redone now but they will be happy to check it any time (twice a year) and let me know when. I found their prices to be impressively reasonable. My mom was a little worried thinking such a nice independent place would be pricy, but it's totally reasonable. I don't see myself ever using another jeweler.

My husband purchased my engagement ring from Karin at Kloiber and it is amazing. He originally…read morebought the setting he liked a while ago at another store and Karin really helped him through the process and made recommendations for a diamond that I would love AND that would complement the setting. Not only did she find a diamond that would fit in the setting, she found the most fabulous diamond. The ring is absolutely gorgeous. I got a chance to meet Karin when we went back to Kloiber to look at wedding bands. I saw why he chose to purchase the ring there. She was so friendly, genuinely loves what she does, and likes making people happy (you can tell). I found my band right away - it was her first recommendation as to what would go with my engagement ring. My husband, on the other hand, had a few rings ordered to be sent to the store to try before he bought. He didn't love either, so Karin recommended a ring that was almost a combination of the 2. He had to buy it before seeing it though as it was custom made. Needless to say, he made the right decision. His ring is great too. He also purchased a fab necklace for me for the actual wedding day from Kloiber which I love! Over the last few months, I have been into Kloiber (the new location is in the US Bank building - go up the main escalator to the Galleria level and you will practically run into it) several times - ring sizing, ring cleaning, ring pick up, necklace shortening, etc. I'm sure it would be fine if you just stopped in (ring the bell), but I would suggest making an appointment - they are very good by email as well. Everyone I encountered has been absolutely fantastic to work with. Excellent customer service. I honestly couldn't recommend a place more than Kloiber. They are fantastic.

First, the associate was unable to properly locate the silver hallmarks on my necklace, incorrectly claiming it was fake until I had to physically point out the stamp myself. This was dismissed with a laugh, which immediately raised red flags about their staff training. The situation worsened when I presented a beautiful, vintage Victorian-style sterling silver ladle. Despite clear sterling markings, the associate again claimed the item was counterfeit. Furthermore, the staff demonstrated a concerning lack of accuracy regarding basic measurements; two different employees provided conflicting weights in grams after keeping the item out of my sight for a period of time. Frustrated by the incompetence, I took the ladle to an independent buyer and antique collector who immediately verified its authenticity and purchased it for $215--proving it held significant value well beyond its mere scrap weight. Pawn America completely misjudged high-quality, authentic precious metals and antiques. I highly recommend taking your valuables elsewhere to someone who actually knows how to test and evaluate jewelry and silver.
