We sat in the chairs and waited 45 minutes until they started. The entire process took about two hours. I returned today, thinking it may have been a one off day and they were busy. I arrived on Friday at 10. I requested a pedicure and a rebase. They sat me in the pedicure chair, where I waited an hour just letting my feet soak in water until someone finally came by. The pedicure was fine, not great not terrible. I then wanted french tips on my nails, we talked about doing a pink color underneath to make it look natural. These are probably the worst french tips I've ever gotten. No pink in sight, definitely tan. My fingers are incredibly messy, I have acrylic all over my skin and under my nails. I most likely will not be returning after this. So frustrating because I payed over $150 for these two services and was very disappointed.

Owning up to mistakes (they happen everywhere) is important. That is the only instance that has happened with gel nails, so it was more about the application and is not their standard. Favorite Nail tech: BAILEY. She deserves her own 5 stars. she is good at her job, easy to talk to, made time to do a last minute polish change for me, and also doesn't mind if you read the whole time either. I smudged a nail an hour or so after my appt once (they felt dry but hey, mistakes happen like I said), and I sheepishly turned around and asked if Bailey could fix the one nail. Like a total rockstar she did, even making sure the color was right after I pulled the wrong one off the shelf. Bailey is the kind of tech you hope stays forever just so you can go see her for her services! Highly recommend, and be generous with your tips. One thing I think is helpful to know is their polish takes an hour to dry unless you buy Dazzle Dry, which is an extra $5 per service. (yes I did dazzle dry on that one nail that got smudged an hour later by my debit card, but debit cards and pretty rough surfaces.) So go ahead and budget dazzle dry in.

Usually I leave the salon with beet-red eyebrows (sensitive, white skin) feeling like I was just one in a long line of customers. Bethany made my brows look the best they've been in years (probably since my wedding) and her careful fill-in and concealer gave me confidence I never have after a wax. I'll be back!

Bethany's space is inside the Phenix Salon Suites, and though she's near the back she's easy to find. (If you haven't been to one, each "studio/office" is it's own private business, with many different salon type services offered throughout the building). Bethany's space is very inviting, and if her door is shut due to her being with someone, there is a nice bench nearby for waiting. I never have to wait too long if I have to wait at all! Her space is well decorated and she is always prepared and ready. I see Bethany about once a month (every 4-5 weeks) and always, ALWAYS leave happy. I highly recommend Bethany for your eyebrow needs - I have also included a photo of my brows the day after having them waxed (I was happy despite my solemn expression).

When we met I showed her pictures of what I was looking for hair wise. She listened to what I wanted and encouraged me to be picky and speak up if I didn't like anything. When it came to makeup I told her about when I went to Sephora the makeup artist made me look like a beauty pageant contestant, not the look I was going for. Elle made sure I looked natural and fresh, just how I wanted! Wedding day was crazy but she was professional and was able to do all the hair and makeup for my bridal party. She also did a great job on my mother and sister's hair as well; everyone looked amazing! She encouraged me to get glam fake lashes, which I never tried except for the practice day and I am glad I went with those. They look so fabulous in the wedding photos.
