New buffer, file and wooden pusher thing every time. As for the atmosphere, it's a bit less relaxing than I would prefer. I think it's the noise level, and the music isn't very calming. The pedicure room (where my friend was) is especially cold seeming, all that tile and the sounds of well, you know, echoing. You pay and leave gratuity up front before leaving. I would not want to get my hair done here because of a lack of privacy, it's the kind of thing I would not want strangers seeing, it's really a personal thing. Hair dye, wet hair, all those foil things, are all best left under a veil of mystery. The ease of making an appointment is great: online, telephone, schedule next one up front while you're there...they text you reminders which I appreciate, even though it's in my calendar. You leave a card on file to pay which I don't mind doing, although I mostly pay in cash. Nicole does a great job on my not so wonderful nails. There would be so much opportunity for mistakes but she really makes them look as good as they get, shiny and flawless for a good two weeks.

Sadly, I later heard from another of his former clients they were told another (more slanderous) story about why Neil was not with the salon anymore. Another lie. If the salon owner did not value his employee, that's one thing. Just tell his clients you don't know where he went. To spread awful rumors and lies about him is unprofessional and truly awful. They are talented, lively (in a very good way), friendly, and down to Earth. They have a way to connect with their clients and figure out their clients' interests, wants, and needs. In fact, the prices that they set for their services are quite clear-cut and reasonable, especially for their talent. When any of these situations happen, they will willingly suggest more reasonable solutions that will still fulfill their clients' wishes and needs. They are the only hairstylists I personally have met who constantly and eagerly seek to learn new techniques. Hair is their passion, and it shows in their attitude. My hairstylist was recommended to me by my husband, who in turn was referred to her by his dad. Today, pretty much all of my husband's immediate family members are her clients, and we're all happy customers. Again sawed back and forth. There wasn't a nail soak bath or anything. Which hurt because when she did my cuticles it was very painful! She then proceeded to paint my nails after first applying a gel. I suggested I go wash my hands which she replied" if you want to".
