My back had gone into a major spasm and I needed deep tissue work done and I had called Inward Bound Wellness on short notice. Steven had created an opening for me as we spoke on the phone. He fit me in and worked out the spasm, as we were going through the massage Steven asked me questions about my recent activities. He pin pointed a few muscles and explained what their use was for and I was able to figure out what caused the spasm. The previous day we were moving and I had carried by myself a large tube tv up 17 stairs sideways and from his decriptions of what each tweaked muscle and how it works allowed me to pinpoint the cause. I have several years of experience doing reformer Pilates and am so grateful for my affordable weekly private lessons by Shasta. She is so patient, understanding, kind and intelligent - I've learned a lot of new movements and the exercises have really helped me with my posture and core strength. The equipment is all top-notch, clean and cared for. Shasta also does group mat Pilates classes and barre classes too which are at a lower price point. Street parking is usually available in front of the studio, and if not, the parking garage is right around the corner!

She was very odd and seemed to think that because I go to another studio in town (that frankly is awesome - Southern Oregon Pilates) that I could not as a consumer attend a session with another studio. I travel a lot and attend studios in other cities and states and have never had anyone be so unprofessional and frankly weird. Run and go to Southern Oregon Pilates.

Gina herself is lovely, incredibly knowledgeable about pilates and has helped me work on some sticky spots (i have no major injuries). I have only taken the level 1 classes and open classes but they move quickly enough without you feeling like you are left behind. The space just opened so the machines are clean and new plus after each class you wipe them down with cleaning solution so things should stay that way. Oh, and the studio is down the driveway of the house, the garage holds the space for private classes while the group classes are held down the driveway and to the right tucked in the basement apartment.
