I went in and decided to try the full-body session which consists of a three minute (if you can stand it) bout in their standing, full-body machine. You start out in a changing room, taking off everything but your underwear and donning some mittens, socks, and a robe. You then walk over to the machine, this hulking beast with smoke and hisses coming from it as it cools down. It doesn't start out at the lowest temperature but rather cools down as you are in in so you acclimate better. You step in and the machine is closed around you with only your head sticking out. It feels quite nice at first, cold but nice. Quickly though, about 10-20 seconds, it starts to get real cold. After the first minute you start to shiver and that's when it gets real cold. Uncontrollable shaking starts and that is when the operator (who is next to you the whole time) asks if you are ok and want to exit. You want your three minutes worth so you push onward. The three minutes is finally up and you hop out and put your robe on and then change. It is exhilarating! It can get below negative 200 degrees depending on how many people "cooled" it down before you. I think the lowest I ever got was around -170 degrees which was enough to put me on the board, at least for the day! You warm up rather quickly but you can still feel the cold on your skin up to like 45 minutes later. I also tried the localized cooling gun which is a session of 10 minutes of this freeze gun, being moved around in a localized spot (knee, back, neck, etc.) It was cool but I think I prefer the full-body for the thrill of it. The owner is very knowledgeable and nice but can be a little chatty at some points (when trying to relax with the localized gun). There are supposed to be a ton of health benefits but besides being very awakened, energized, and a sudden (forgetting of pain, perhaps because my mind was focused on the cold) I didn't notice any. The owner suggests you do this therapy at least a few times a week for a few weeks but I don't have the money for that! Speaking of money, I'm not sure if it is still going on but when I went last year, there was happy hour pricing (half off) after 3:00 pm!

Some of their services that they offer are IV therapy/shots, facials, and core services. What I wanted to try was either their red light therapy or infused sauna service. I also looked into their facial services, but all facials here were booked for the rest of the month. I booked an infrared sauna session for 5/16/26 at 1:15pm, but since this was my first time here, I had to arrive a half hour early for a client consultation appointment. They had called me about an hour in advance to confirm my appointment and when I was asked how I found out about Restore, I told them about my gym's competition and had a gift card for it. The lady on the other end, Kehlani, told me that I could add on an extra service to fulfill my gift card, in which I chose cryotherapy. I met Kehlani once I walked through the doors, where I had to sign a waiver and provide any health issues that I may have prior to getting started. She gave me the tour of the facility and explained each service provided. Then I was directed to the sauna room with a shower inside. The sauna session lasted 45 minutes and then I was given about 10-15 minutes to shower afterward (all necessities included) before moving on to the cryogenic session. The sauna was great and it was all left to just myself. I was sweating some good bullets the entire time. The cryotherapy session, located around the corner from the sauna room, requires a beanie, face mask, mittens, robe, socks, and slippers. The entire thing was supervised by Kevin, where he took my body temperature before and after use. The most awesome part about this is that you can select a song to listen to while you're inside, where I chose Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. This was my first time using cryotherapy, so it did feel like I was standing in the middle of a winter storm for about three minutes, but I made it through the entire thing. Kevin said that my body temperature dropped from 83 degrees to 57 degrees afterward, which was not bad for a first timer. I felt amazing and more alert than usual afterwards, plus I ended up getting a good night's sleep that night. It's good to try something new once in a while and it was totally worth it.
