I need to update my review. First, the children's side closed down with no phone calls, etc. I'm being told that an email was sent, but I surely can't find it. So, I needed to find my children a new provider. This was (and still is) quite an upheaval. Now for the bigger issue. My husband has had considerable work done at Precision on Perry Hwy. We have incredibly good dental insurance (90%). Between what insurance has paid, and what we have paid out of pocket (thousands at a time), we are up to approx 20k paid to this doctor (my est is actually higher, but let's say 20k for good measure). Hubby has had crowns, implants, etc. He likes Dr. Modic (as do I). My issue is that their "policies and procedures" cross the line from policy to vultures. On my first real work done there, I was given a treatment plan that looked very different from my husband's. His was broken down by the appt and procedure line by line. Mine had a small breakdown in the middle that I failed to understand. I had a temp crown put on, and was told that I had to pay the 10% up front. Huh? No one said this when all the paperwork was signed. No, it was buried in the fine print that all payments are due immediately. Ok, fine. I didn't have my card on me (a new one was literally in the mail due to fraud). Rather than wait for my permanent crown to hit me for the $120 I owed (My payment was 10%. The other 90%, or $1200-ish, was paid by the insurance co), they called my husband at work 5 minutes after I left the office and demanded payment! He was busy and could not help them at the time. So, I went in today (I just got my card) and paid the bill. I expressed my thoughts after I asked her to review my husband's chart to see how much money we have paid this practice in 2 years. I understand the need for payment. I even understand getting it up front for the most part. I understand when I'm told that the payment is covering the cost of the crown to be made. They sound as if the $120 is paying for the crown. Apparently they are forgetting about the other 90% they get when the bill is given to my insurer! However, when you have a family that pays THIS much, you'd think that you'd be treated like more than just a blank check. Nope. Doesn't matter. I now know that people don't matter in this practice.. its money, money, money. Sad, cause Dr. Modic is a likeable fellow, as are his assistants. Oh, and let me add that I have owned my practice in mental health since 2017. I've never called a regular, long term patient (or another family member who joined in my practice) over insignificant amount of money. I get paid from the insurance co, same as the doctor here. If someone needs to ride their copay for a few weeks, then fine.. I know my people and the ones who have been my "bread and butter" are recognized, and additional latitude given because that's just GOOD BUSINESS. I can be treated like a blank check anywhere. My sister and brother-in-law went to Refresh and it was a nightmare. My sister has perfect teeth and my brother-in-law does also. They went for a cleaning and check up and were told that they needed $12,000 worth of work each. They said "you may as well take advantage of your insurance" . They told my sister she would need to come back four times for a cleaning and my brother-in-law twice.. It would almost be funny if it wasn't so outrageous. Do not go there!! UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS AND COMMUNICATION PRACTICES: Since mid-October 2024, Refresh Dental Whitehall has seriously failed to live up to its communication responsibilities. This began with their treatment plan, which included an unreliable assessment of my teeth and inaccurate estimates regarding insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs. It has continued with their failure to keep me informed about their communications with my insurer concerning the dental work that was done and their failure to respond to my repeated voice mail messages and written communications regarding insurance and billing. If you have a DMO plan please be aware they don't take this insurance like they claim! If you're like me, you'll log into your insurance website and see this office listed as "in network." You'll go to your appointment and let them know your insurance changed. You'll have X-rays and all tests done in addition to your cleaning. You'll check out like everything is fine. THEN 2 days later you'll get a call from the office saying that your insurance won't cover you care. They'll tell you to call you insurance like it's the company's problem (that's a whole other issue but not for this review). You'll get the bill and see insurance covered $0. You'll call the insurance company likes it's their fault only to find out this office for some reason keeps DMO status without employing a dentist that takes this insurance and they will LIE to the customer service agent from your insurance company and say they told you before your appointment and that you decided to seek treatment anyway. You'll call them to talk about the bill and they won't pick up, so you leave a voicemail. And they never call you back. I will never step foot in this office again. I wish I would have read their reviews before deciding to take my business there. They were dishonest and unprofessional. read more

I made an appointment for a cleaning and yearly X-rays. After my X-rays were completed I waited for almost 30 minutes before being told that the dental hygienist had to leave and I would have to reschedule for a cleaning. The dentist gave me a quick exam, informed me that I would need 3 teeth extracted and crowns. I was surprised because I have never had any dental issues besides a few cavities when I was young. I was given a treatment plan and an estimate of $4088.00. After leaving the office I looked up reviews and feeling uneasy, decided to find another dentist. I showed my new dentist the treatment plan from Refresh Dental and he seemed shocked stating the I did not need any work on my teeth outside of regular cleanings! read more

The staff and doctor is very nice and friendly. But the care provided by the dentist was another story. More than 1 time he did not look at the xray and I had to ask him if he looked at it. I had a tooth that was loose and infected and I asked what to and he said it was up to me and didn't do any treatment. The last time there is the worse as he said my back molar is completely infected and needed pulled and suggested a bone graft. I went for a 2nd opinion and the dentist said it wasn't infected and doesn't need pulled and filled a cavity on that tooth that had been missed. I rarely write a review but made an exception here to warn others. My last appointment at Refresh Dental was in November 2021, after Dr. Smiga left the practice. It was the worst dental appointment I ever had in my 64 years. I was told that I had 4 cracked teeth that will need crowns and a cavity. Other than the cost, I was concerned about my dental anxiety so much that I decided to get a 2nd opinion. So I went to a different dentist (who is now my new dentist) and was told there are no problems, that none of my teeth need crowns and they could not even find the cavity. I don't think cavities magically disappear. Based on my experience, I suggest to never go to Dental Refresh. read more

I use to see Dr Smiga and I loved him. Well the bad things started when Refresh Dental took over!!! For one I had to switch to a different dentist within the practice because Dr Smiga did not take my insurance anymore. So the other dentist did a pre authorization with my insurance company and payment as follows, so I scheduled the dental work I needed when the receptionist called and told me everything was covered. So one Feb 9 2018 I went in for my appt. Had a few follow ups and low and behold they call and tell me that now this dentist is no longer with their practice and no one else there takes my insurance. So I found a new dentist!!!!! Now in June of 2020 I get a bill in the mail for 5,388.35. So of course I have called left messages and no one has responded SHOCKER!!!! I used to bring all 4 kids here but never again. After they almost drilled the wrong tooth in my 7 year old for a cavity that didn't need to be drilled because that tooth was about to fall out anyway according to another dentist. The shaky hands comment is 100% true. Even the hygienist understood when I said I wanted my son to get his shot from Dr. Polling instead. It's bad when staff realizes a Dr needs to retire. Do not go here. Despite the beautiful and clean atmosphere, It's not worth the unnecessary and painful dental services they will put you through. Refresh hires inexperienced staff and the dental lab is horrible. I had 3 crowns. The temporary fell out and every office within 20 miles closed hours early on that Friday. None of them were the same size and did not fit correctly. Each one had to be ground down so much they were flat and I am unable to chew correctly. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! I had a few bad experiences with this guy in the past, ranging from his incredibly shaky hands, to his attempting to sell me something almost every time I go. However, my most recent visit was so bad that I would never go to his office again. Let me preface this by saying it takes a lot for me to complain about a dentist, as I am not someone with a perfect set of pearly white teeth. But this guy is the worst and should not be allowed to practice. I recently had bonding come off my front right tooth which I chipped over 10 years ago. The initial chip was about 1/3 of the tooth. Since I first chipped the tooth I believe the bonding has come off 2 or 3 times. Each time this would happen, I would go to my previous dentist and he fixed it good as new. This concept seemed to be completely lost on Dr. Smiga. I am not sure if he is so old that he is out of touch with proper procedures, if he was trying to get more money, or if he is just ignorant to his practice. However, Dr. Smiga insisted that I needed a crown. While I had my mouth full of cotton and other devices, a clipboard was placed on my chest. I was told to review and sign the agreement for the $260 procedure. I repeatedly asked why this was necessary as I had never been told or recommended this by a prior dentist. I wanted to know why he could not simply repair it the way my prior dentists had. Dr. Smiga also told me that the repair could not be done on the same day and that I would have to wait weeks. This also made no sense to me because when I called I explained this was an emergency and I needed a normal looking tooth before the end of the week. Rather than politely explaining his position to me, Dr. Smiga became visibly agitated that I was not willing to blindly follow his recommendation. He repeatedly told me that I was not doing things the right and proper way, in a very negative and aggressive tone. I tried explaining to him that I needed something by the end of the week, but he just could not understand this. Eventually I convinced him to just go the bonding route. He took about 15 minutes to do the bonding. The end result of this was absolutely absurd. It is amazing to me that any human, much less one with dental training would have sent me home with a tooth looking the way mine did. I am convinced a person with no dental training could have done a better job. What I ended up with was a front tooth with bonding that looked in no way similar to what a tooth should look like. It was misshaped, out of position, and the complete wrong shade. He did not even attempt to use the proper shade of tooth, which meant I ended up with half of my front right tooth pearly white, while the rest of my teeth were a darker shade. He attempted to make it darker by buffing the tooth, but gave up soon after. His final words to me when I remarked about how awful it looked were, "No one is going to look at your tooth that closely". I was dumbfounded. I wish I would have taken photos of the tooth, but it was so ridiculous to look at that I did not want to be reminded. On top of his horrendous job, his attitude was even worse. He eventually left the room without a word, groaning and moaning about how I needed to do things the right way. The bonding procedure was also pretty painful. It is my opinion that he either intentionally screwed up because he was upset I would not agree to do things his way, or he is just clueless. Either way it is unacceptable for a professional. After leaving his office, and being horrified every time I looked in the mirror, I called my former dentist. He got me in the very next day. Not once did my old dentist mention anything about needing a crown. Instead, he simply did the bonding procedure that was done on prior occasions. It took him about 45 minutes to do the entire procedure because he actually took his time to do it correctly. He carefully went through what shade I thought would be best to match my other teeth. He grinded and crafted the tooth to be the perfect shape and fit. When done the tooth looked completely normal. Thankfully there are dentists that do things the right way, otherwise I would have looked like a clown all weekend. I will never return to Dr. Smiga's office and I do not think he should have a license to practice dentistry. read more

I would give no stars if possible to Refresh dental. Refresh dentals goal is to maximize profits by selling you treatment plans you do not necessarily need. I found the staff to be efficient. However, when the Dentist came in, Dr. Dan, he looked over my teeth and said I needed 6 teeth to have new fillings, a new crown, and some other work. When asked about this, he said that I would get a plan. The person who handed me the plan was the receptionist when I paid. I asked about getting more details, she simply referred me to the proposed bill. Meanwhile the dentist was on to the next patient and I had no chance to discuss with him. Total bill was projected at over $3,000 and the receptionist is the one to explain it to me??? that is not very professional. My wife and I always feel that this office is trying to sell us something, so we can never be certain if it is necessary or not, or what the downside is. Ugh, I hate to have to do this but... DO.NOT.-- by any circumstance-- come to this office. The only nice thing about it is the lady at the front desk. I had a TRAUMATIZING restoration experience. Dr. Smiga started the numbing process by throwing the needle in my mouth like a dart. It was so painful that I gasped out loud only for him to respond, " I'm not trying to hurt you- I don't want you to be able to feel it later " , but something about it felt wrong. I audibly heard him say it to the patient in the next room, so I know I'm not the only one that was suffering from this process. He came back after some time numbing and said to me, "By no means, are you allowed to be in pain. Raise your left hand if you're in pain". When he started I could feel everything, so he proceeded to give me another shot, which also failed to work. This happened two more times to the point where he said I'm not able to give you anymore shots and made me continue the drilling of the filling in such extreme pain that all I could do was cry. He said to me, " are you sure it's not just pressure you're feeling?" Are you f*cking kidding me!!? I fully believe he didn't properly inject the novocaine on purpose and as a result I was in excruciating pain. After leaving the office I got the sick feeling that he enjoyed seeing me in pain. I felt confused and abused- like I just experienced some twisted mental illness of a person that enjoys seeing people suffer. Maybe he was good at practicing dentistry at one point, but he appears jaded and I think it's time for him to throw in the towel. Reading other reviews of patients with similar stories only confirmed that my gut feeling was right. He truly should no longer be allowed to practice. I was informed by my new dentist that it is possible there is an issue with numbing that particular tooth, but I know deep down it was malpractice. This office is so disorganized and the dentist is very inexperienced. My daughter had had a Maryland bridge installed by Dr. Smiga about three years ago and has had trouble with it ever cents and every time it has fallen out he would have no problems sending it out or replacing it or reattaching it. I went to the office on Monday because the bridge came out again and the dentist basically told me that he was uncomfortable installing it and that I needed to contact an orthodontist to have it installed but orthodontist do not install Maryland bridges they refer you to a general dentist. Being in a service industry it has to be really bad for me to write this. Everyone can have a bad day but this place is the worst. Constantly trying to upsell their services. From the hygienist wanting to sell you an electric toothbrush to what dental work they say you need. They told me it would be over $7,000 that I would have to pay on top of insurance to fix 2 (TWO )teeth. The doctor didn't listen to what my problem was. He looked at my x-rays and told me what the problem was. He was wrong. I still have the problem I went in for, and now missing a tooth he said that needed to be pulled. The pain from the pull is still continuing 2 weeks later. This on top of the pain I went in for. They don't know what they are doing. Run away as fast as possible. I am upset and really should have done something sooner. I had one upper tooth pulled the 2nd tooth in on the one side. Dr. Smiga did a bridge and hardly explained anything to me. I didn't realize that meant filing down 2 perfectly good teeth on either side of the one missing one. His hands were shaking the whole entire time. But I was stuck and at his mercy. In the meantime, I was not surprised when this bridge kept falling apart and he kept recementing it. I was more worried as his hands were shaking the whole time. Finally, it fell apart and he told me he would have to pull the other 2 teeth or what was left. When I realized that I was now missing 3 teeth instead of just 1, I was horrified. I have been dealing with this issue ever since. I am unable to afford implants but also had trouble with the only option left. I keep gagging with the partial that was since put in, so now I never use it. I do think Dr. Smiga messed up with his shaking hands, and should have retired sooner. But worse he or this new corporate group were not willing to refund me or help with costs for the other options. I have since left the practice not knowing where to go next or what to do. I got the impression this new practice is all about the money, and not doing anything that is best for their patients. In years past I always felt secure with Dr. Smiga, and he seemed much kinder then. Not sure what made even him change with this new practice. When I arrived at Dr. Smiga's office, I came with a history of botched dental work from a previous dentist. Dr. Smiga identified the problems and provided me with straight-forward information about my treatment options. He is as honest as it gets. Years later, I have my fair share of tooth aches, crowns and cavities, and Dr. Smiga's office accommodates me every time. I used to get upset when I had to go to the dentist. This location needs to be SHUT DOWN! I originally was a patient of Smiga, I switched due to his shakes and me being so worried I was going to get a needle through my cheek. I then started going to Dr. Polling, I thought he was great, super nice and he explained everything so perfectly. Well, in March 2017 I first started going to him. I was treated like a new patient since I was on a dental hiatus for about a year. I was 100% okay with that! I wasn't having any pain or issues, I just wanted a checkup. Well, I was told I need two crowns and so I was like okay! It's now September and I still am unable to chew on that side of my mouth. I've been going back all summer basically on a weekly basis to get my bite fixed. I also went through a root canal, which looking back, I bet I never needed in the first place!!! My crowns were drilled down so low you could only see metal, it was awful. The last time I was there my Gold crown was being fixed for the "bite", I left hopeful ONCE again that I was finally going to be normal, that was not the case. I then was in more pain than ever before and noticed my gold crown was cracked. I finally was so embarrassed I couldn't go back to this location. I was under the impression they didn't believe me I was still in pain. I could not believe they let me leave the practice with a cracked crown! So, in order for my crowns to get fixed I needed to stay in the Refresh Dental practices. I switched to the South Side Works location. I am basically re starting over with my crowns and already feel so much better with this dentist. I'm in less pain now with my temporaries than I was with my permanents! Worst place ever. Scheduled me for a new patient appointment... the morning OF my appointment they told me they had to reschedule as "something came up." I bought fine. It happens. Rescheduled. Showed up to my rescheduled appointment- was there for 5 minutes. Said "sorry, we cannot do anything today." Then scheduled my cleaning for 3 weeks in advanced, and my filling 3 months from now (after he told me it was urgent I get it). THEN 2 days before my cleaning appointment told me something came up and we need to reschedule and the next available appointment is 3 months from now. Also Dr. Sigma is rude and stuck in his ways and SO SHAKY. I don't want anyone that shaky doing ANYTHING to my teeth. Awful. read more

I had front teeth crown and it is not the proper fit so I've been suffered with dry mouth. Dr. Smiga, him with his shaky hand put the crown in a wrong place. I went back nemours time but he was already gone retired, and rookie dentists took over the place. they didn't know what they are doing, now I have to go to a cosmetic dentist to fix the problem. I hate to do this but I had the worst experience on Thursday, January 9 with Dr Smiga. I went in for a tooth extraction. I was told this molar HAD to be pulled or crowned before they could begin my gum disease treatment. Dr Smiga yanked on my tooth for 45 minutes and could not complete the extraction . He proceeded to tell that I have to immediately go to an oral surgeon to finish the extraction. Thank god I have a good friend who works for Dr Datillo in Mt Lebanon, he finished what Dr Smiga could not. I am so discouraged, after 2.5 weeks my gums are still sore. I went back to Dr Datillo who said the socket is healing really slowly. I never received a call from Smiga's office. Now my dilemma is where do I go from here. I need gum treatment but I don't want to go back to that office. My only dental coverage is under my UPMC for Life. I may have to try another Refresh Dental office. read more

Terrible experience! I called the phone number listed on their website and scheduled three appointments for my three daughters. The first one was at 8am. I get to the office and we are taken back to an exam room. It is then that I am told that these appointments are for exams only and not for cleanings, like I had asked for on the phone. Also I am told that the dentist won't be in until 9am. I was also told that they were booked out several months for cleanings, so I would have to wait months to actually get those cleanings I thought we were getting today! So basically our visit was a complete waste of our time. Who goes to the dentist for an exam and not a cleaning unless they are having problems of some sort?? Also, I made this appointment a month ago, so it's not like I just walked in off the street. I also got several reminder emails about the appointments, all of which confirmed that we had an 8am appointment. The woman who took us back to the room was completely indifferent. She kept blaming the "call center" and said she could try to see if any of the dental hygienists could fit us in. When she came back half an hour later I asked if she had been able to work us in but she said she hadn't asked the hygienists yet. I asked if she would please do that. Her attitude was unapologetic and unhelpful and I doubt she even asked the hygienists at all. Of course, the answer was that no they could not fit us in. Big surprise. I was extremely annoyed as I had taken time off of work to bring my kids in. The dentist was equally indifferent and just said "What do you want me to do? I don't have anything to do with scheduling." I get that, but everyone made me feel like I was being unreasonable and rude for being annoyed. Not one person acted apologetic or even pretended to try to rectify the situation which would have gone a long way in making me feel better about what had happened. I've worked in customer service my whole life and all they had to do was say "I'm so sorry this happened. You must be so frustrated. Here is how we can try to fix it ....." They all kept explaining the logistics of the call center and their scheduling system, and why they aren't reliable. As if a customer would have any knowledge of any of that! As if I should have been prepared to waste my time today and not get the services I had scheduled because well, you know, that "call center" isn't accurate. All I did was call the number they list on their website! For all I know their dentist is fabulous as are all of their hygienists. But based on this experience I will not be back. So be warned everyone. If you call their phone number, your call may be answered by a call center, which will schedule you for an "appointment" which doesn't actually include a cleaning, just a dentist looking in your mouth and saying "brush better" and that appointment with the dentist might not actually be when the dentist is even in, so you may have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for him to look in your mouth and tell you to brush better. read more

They will butcher your mouth! The doctors hands aren't steady, he is arrogant, and doesn't know what he is doing. Dr. Smiga said I needed a new crown only to have hacked away my tooth. I have not been able to use the right side of my mouth since he has touched my tooth. I went back several times for him to fix it and he would say everything was fine. I finally went to a new dentist and I now have to see a gum specialist to have part of my gum removed to have a new crown put on. Dr.Smiga should not be aloud to practice medicine!!! I never liked going to the dentist. As it ends up, I developed an absess, and being new to the area, asked a co-worker who he would recommend. I am glad I did. He and his family go to Dr. Smiga, so I decided that despite my aversion to the dental chair, I couldn't take the pain any longer. The very day I called and explained my situation an extremely friendly and helpful receptionist, told me she could squeeze me in that afternoon. She also advised me to park around the back, and cautioned me that the entrance and exit to the back of the building, were both one way. When I arrived, I checked in and began filling out all the new patient paperwork in a small, but comfortable waiting room. With as filled up as the schedule was, I was taken to a room suprisingly quick. Dr. Smiga stopped in my room within 5 minutes and chatted me up a bit to find out what was wrong. He is an extremly friendly and such a nice guy. He was very concerned with my pain and assured me that he would take care of it quickly. I had a bitewing xray and within two minutes he was back in the room to perform a root canal. He numbed me up quite well, unfortunately, due to the infection it didn't _ completely numb me up, so when he drilled the back of my tooth, I almost jumped out of the chair. He assured me that in three seconds, I would be pain free. I was. I could have kissed him. I had been in pain for a week. My entire new patient appointment, including a root canal took only an hour. Dr. Smiga and his staff are all very nice and friendly. He is obviously an expert in his field. We even discussed his charity work traveling to foreign countries to do volunteer dental work. I would recommend Dr. Smiga to everyone. I can't get in for a cleaning for 3 months, but that's understandable being how great he is. It's worth the wait. read more

Never use this dentist. Especially Dr. Smiga. At my first visit I thought he was very nice he told me I would need three filings. Came back the next week for the fillings and he started drilling and his hands were shaking so bad but nothing was hurting me so it didn't bother me. That night after the novacane wore off I started having the worst pain of my life, they have Saturday hours so I called to try to get an emergency appointment and they wouldn't squeeze me in. Fast forward to Monday (still in pain) I go in and tell him I've been having the worst pain and I'm worried something is wrong. He looks in my mouth and say oh it's just the bite, the bite is off. I knew it would be the bite, I'm gonna fix it for you, then he starts drilling my tooth that's been throbbing for the past four days with no novacane and shaky hands!!! I started crying and he was still insisting it was the bite. I didn't agree and went back to my old dentist right after, for an emergency appointment and she took an X-ray and what do you know.. I HAVE AN INFECTION and will need a root canal. I will NEVER go back here and I suggest you don't either. read more

We were new patients and never informed that you need to make separate appointments for teeth cleaning. The first visit was only x-rays and then told you have to set another appointment for teeth cleaning.The office manager said this was the referral service doing but no one at the front desk bothered to mention this at our first visit until after I got my x-rays done. So you can blame the call desk but this was an issue in other reviews so you would have thought that the program manager at least had the front staff bring this up. In addition, I was told my son had great teeth after xray's taken and then when he went for this teeth cleaning, he was told that he had multiple cavities. How could that be? I asked for a follow up call but no one got back to me. Not sure why this was not found during the initial visit. I wish I read the reviews earlier. I had to switch to this dental practice due to my insurance plan and I sure miss my old dentist. read more

Do not go to this dentists office! I've been going to Dr. Smiga since I was a kid and he's a good dentist in my opinion. However now that his office has switched over to refresh dental this office is absolutely atrocious! They will do extra things to your teeth without asking you or mentioning that they cost extra and then expect you to cough up the money before you leave. I had to have a tooth extracted and as many other folks out there I am terrified of the dentist. However, Dr. Smiga sat and talked with me for 15+ minutes to get my mind off of the impending procedure and treated me like a friend not a patient. He was knowledgeable, friendly and patient, all important attributes. Knowing he cares made everything much less stressful and glad to have him as my dentist. read more

Have been going to the same location for over 25 years when Dr Smiga had the practice. Thought I would stay since it was convenient. Everything has changed. So commerical, no personal touch. Several reminders of your appointment but no true reminders of any new procedures now with covid. Questions ae asked as with anywhere but no where on site, pre calls, texts and reminders is there anything that states if you have had COVID at any point in time do you need to show a negative test result proof to be seen. Got all the way there wait until they open to do usual call for check in and when you say you had a couple months ago they now want a negative test result. This is discrimination. There is no where stating that you must show proof of a negative test result. If you have had a flu in your past or a stomach virus do you have to show a doctors permission to get service. The amount of people who have had a positive COVID is more than those who haven't at this point and there is no doctor that states you need to return to get a negative test since there is such a wait to even get tested not to mention have to pay for another copay. I am outraged and the lack of respect for my time and the fact that if I cancel an appointment I get charged a copay but you can deny me service with no reason when I am not sick and have no symptoms of being sick. Dr. Smiga is a fantastic dentist and I have been going to him for years and love him and his staff. However, they recently switched over to Refresh dental and it's just upstairs now. I can't even explain how terrible my experience was this time around. My hygienist had NO idea what she was doing. She didn't floss my teeth, she hardly used the polish stuff that they put on your teeth and she cut up my gums so bad giving me x-rays. She didn't even offer me a toothbrush. My teeth cleaning probably lasted about 4 minutes total. Apart from that the receptionist was rude and when I went to the desk after she didn't bother to ask if I want to reschedule or anything. As much as I have loved going here I am truly reconsidering going back. read more
