I started going to her when she was cutting hair at Twin's barber shop since that was the closest barbershop by my house that had good barbers. A few years ago she told me she was finally going to open up her own barbershop. I ended up deploying so I didn't get to see her grand opening, but I sure as hell went to her shop after I came back. At her shop, it's still awesome haircut and amazing service at a great price. Before I cut my hair in August, I had it braided by Dae twice & she did an amazing job as well. I always receive a lot of compliments wherever I go, whether it was from Dae leaving me with some awesome braids or Viktoriya's fresh fades & clean beard line ups. I finally gave in! This past Saturday I walked into Salon D&A and the beautiful Jennifer worked her magic on my hair. Why did I wait so long to do this? Look at the attached pictures. I asked for a trim and she really just trimmed it. She didn't cut any more then I said and the color, the color came out amazing!! It came out way better then I could ever imagine! I didn't get Nancy, the other lady did a good job on my nails but I was disappointed. They offered me a pedicure too and I decided to do it. The older lady who did it kept trying to get me to go for upgrades but I just wanted a basic pedicure. She also didn't paint the entire toe nail, not my favorite experience. But both look pretty good so I'm not mad. They were also very quick, which I appreciate.

The Aveda products were very gentle on my poor abused hair, yet they brought out the bright blonde. A toner wasn't even required bc Susan got the color perfect. Yes, the lighting in the salon isn't great and the place could use a deep clean service and a fresh coat of paint, but do you want to pay $400-$500 for highlights/lowlights/cut/blowdry, or do you want to pay $100-$200? Those expensive (& pretentious) salons are making YOU pay for their high end lighting systems, new salon chairs, and nightly cleaning crew. Just some food for thought. When he's finished cutting he takes the time to make sure everything sits pretty so you don't have to fight with it later. I appreciate that he'll go with what you want but always give you his professional opinion in the nicest way. Pixie cuts are not the easiest but he did such a great job, very talented. My nail artist was Marissa. She did a fantastic job on my tips and toes. She was very laid back and sweet. She was thorough and although she had acrylic claw-like nails, she had a nice touch with the mini massage on the feet and hands and didn't scratch me! I feel like this always happens when getting massaged at other nail salons even when the person has short nails; when the massage begins, they dig their nails into the tender bottom of my foot - not Marissa! All I want outside of a pedicure is SNS NO COLOR you would think how hard is that to have clear nails that just make your nails shining. Well it seems to be difficult at this location. Which the cost for short nails no color which they end up putting color is $48. I don't have money to waste for mistakes. My recommendation is to be as clear as possible even with the easiest task and show a picture. I walk in requesting for my nails to look the same which had no colored and come out with a hint of color.
