My case has been ongoing since 2020 and remains unresolved. In my experience, this firm significantly impacted the well-being of my children and my family. After six years and more than $120,000 in legal fees, I was left to self-litigate without legal representation. During this process, one of my sons was deemed Code Blue and became unresponsive. My other son wrote a letter to the judge describing his mental health struggles and the severity of the domestic violence our family has experienced. Based on my experience, this office was not equipped to handle a high-conflict domestic violence case. My concerns include: Court filings that were not submitted on time. Poor communication throughout the case. Last-minute attorney substitutions during critical proceedings, which occurred at my expense and negatively affected my case. A lack of effective advocacy and preparation. Minimization of the domestic violence that my children and I have been trying to survive. I understand that every case is different, but I would not recommend this firm for high-conflict domestic violence matters. I hired Alyson del Vecchio to handle my divorce. My ex and I had already split everything and were…read moreseparated and in agreement, but needed someone to take care of the filing. After the consult, I was told the process would be straightforward and likely come in well below the $3,000 retainer. I already had most of the paperwork laid out with all of the assets divided. Allyson required two documents be notarized by both parties. My ex sent them to her, but was told one of the documents was not clear enough for the court. My ex sent them again and was told the same thing, again. I opened the document and it was fine. My ex sent the document again, and it was easily legible. After a month of this back and forth and telling me my ex was not cooperative, I was asked for more money. Finally Allyson said the problem was that the document wasn't PRINTING dark enough, even though it opened fine. I googled the issue, apparently a common problem when printing Adobe pdfs, and was able to print the document after adjusting my printer settings. A simple problem that could have been solved a month and hundreds of dollars earlier, had someone said what the problem was. After paying $3,000 for an uncontentious divorce that required nothing more than the paperwork being printed and filed, we have nothing to show for it. I can't imagine having to rely on this office to represent me had there been disagreements or children involved. I adamantly recommend you look elsewhere for an attorney.

I paid, had a productive consultation and then the tomfoolery began. The verbal quoted costs of retaining an attorney compared to the contract I was sent didn't match, I brought this to attention. I was sent the wrong contract again. 3rd try they got it right. They even had the wrong name on one contract. I had a follow up phone meeting with Jackie and explicitly explained that something as simple as screwing up a retainer contract 3 times produces a lack of confidence. Jackie assured me that once signed things would be much better, that I had gotten an inaccurate picture of how their business operated. I signed and we agreed to a date that my first motion would be filed and served. Fast forward 2 months past the agreed upon date and I have billed me well over 10% of my retainer, the first motion we had discussed hadn't been composed, filed, or served. I would check in monthly for a status update, as they practice zero communication, I suspect, because their fee agreement states they charge you .1 of an hour to read an email. After two consecutive monthly status updates full of excuses and a promise that "I would see something in the next few days." I chose to confront about a lack of performance. I proposed that they give me my money back and we go our separate ways as it is obvious that this isn't going to work. I don't want representation that I have to micro manage. Jackie chose immediately to withdraw as council, have a meeting with Mr. Bishop and report to me that they were going to bill my retainer for what; I'm not sure seeing as how nothing has been done. She did make it clear they were billing me though. We haven't spoken on the phone since I retained services. Jackie's petty behavior is very unbecoming for somebody practicing law. My advice, choose any other firm to handle your family matters. I couldn't imagine going through the stresses of any divorce, especially if a messy one, having to fight to attempt to keep your assets and children, with this circus representing you. Mr. Bishop's firm sells a service and cannot offer honesty, accountability, and integrity, this is definitely one to steer clear of.
