The Regal in Barkley Village is strangely Bellingham's only actual movie theatre. Even so they do not disappoint. The theatre is always clean and inviting, they offer a excellent selection of snacks, a few games to play while you wait for your movie, and they even have an IMAX option. Also the seats recline a bit and the floors are never sticky. Its not fancy, but its a nice place to enjoy a movie.

Came specifically to Barkley Village to see Top Gun in IMAX audio/video did not disappoint. Was crowded but the assigned seats made it nice for grouping a party of six on opening weekend without waiting in line. Wish the arcade was a bit bigger and better maintained. Concessions are the same as any regal.

Nice place for movie night out, convenient and easy ticket booth. Last-minute needed to change seats, customer service was willing and able. Great customer service.

This is one of the biggest theaters in the Bellingham area, so it can get pretty busy on the weekends. This Regal theater also seems to get a decent amount of indie and older movies that cycle through (for example, this year, they are running all of the Studio Ghibli films). Probably the best thing about this theater is their $21.99 unlimited movies deal (for 2D films) if you go twice a month, it's worth it and you do get discounts on concessions. The service at the concession stand can be unbelievably slow, so if you're in a rush, it's worth it to order food ahead of time on the Regal smartphone app. And I'll be honest, the seats in their "RPX" (think Dolby Digital theaters) are some of the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. Apart from the crummy chairs in the RPX theater and occasional slow service, this theater is pretty decent and is a nice addition to the Barkley Village area.

Came here to catch Shang Chi after my daughter's wedding. Our party filled up 1/4 of the theater. The theater is really nice, the seats are soft and can recline a little bit. The theater is pretty clean.

Newer movie theater with full concession of food, drinks, popcorn, & treats. RPX, IMAX, 3D, & just standard movies as well. It is located in area that has TCBY, Subway, Limited Restaurants. Good parking. Nice, clean, and new cinema.

This theater in Bellingham, Washington is the cleanest and newest movie theater that I have ever been in. Even the men's restroom was spotless. Maybe that is why the prices are so high. I expected prices to be lower than my hometown in California, but they were not. Costed us $9.50 each for a Matinee ticket for a regular movie. They also offer RPX and IMAX theaters at higher prices. Did not get anything at their concession stand. Plenty of food options though at standard theater prices. Very comfy chairs that rock, and the sound system was terrific! Service was friendly. Other than the high prices, everything else was fine.

Very nice theater and much overdue for Bellingham. Huge open lobby and great theaters with comfy chairs and a good view from any chair. The concession stand won me over with the Frozen Yogurt - I suggest the Chocolate Vanilla swirl ... Amazing!

The female manager that works here shouldn't work in the customer service industry. Absolutely ubsurd experience with her.

Ask the Community - Regal Barkley Village

Do any of the theaters have reclining seats?

To the best of my knowledge none of the theaters do sadly. I see RPX and have seen some stuff in imax 3d but haven't seen anything nice like that.

Comfortable seats (although you certainly pay for that in the RPX theater!) Employees are always nice.

Tickets are around $7 per adult, and you get to watch 2 movies. They also have an arcade and a huge food menu, which makes it feel more like a full night out instead of just watching a movie. The food itself is nothing amazing. We got the curly fries and they were a little soggy for our liking, but honestly I'd still order food there again because it feels like part of supporting the place. The whole spot has that small local community feel, and you can tell it's one of those places people keep coming back to for the experience. If you've never been to a drive-in before, this is such a fun one to try. I'd take this over a regular movie theater any day.

With high theatre prices, seeing more than one movie for less money is a gift. Especially where you can freely take whatever snacks you want (even if it's a whole meal that you somehow got there). And if you forgot your snacks/drinks, no worries because there is a shop where you can get food. There's also an arcade, so if you need something to do while you wait for the movie to start (other than reading a book or scrolling through social media), that's something.

People will come from other cities to visit the Starlight Room. There are other smaller theaters here I still need to check out, the Rose Theater and the Rosebud. I love the kind theater staff and popcorn seller. Beer is also available. The popcorn is especially delicious. You can flavor it yourself with a selection of creative savory spices.

I've never seen a theater like it before…read more Delicious fresh popped popcorn (without the rancid oil smell), REAL butter, numerous toppings to flavor your popcorn, savory and sweet, from cinnamon/sugar to nutritional yeast. YUM! And the prices are reasonable. No gouging here. The concessions are friendly and homey. You can get a cup of ice and they don't charge you for the cup! The usual candy selection, plus some exotic candies and sometimes even baked goodies. The entire lobby walls are covered in vintage movie posters. Ticket prices are ridiculously low! Most movies are only $12 for adults. If you're a member (membership begins at $100/year,) you can get $2 off the ticket price, plus earn points for other freebies and discounts. The whole theater is styled like the vintage theaters from the golden age of cinema. Velvet seats. Even hand-printed chalkboard marquees over the theater entrances. Old fashioned settees in the room off the lobby, and a vintage box office window. One of the theaters features hand-painted murals on the walls. One has been totally redecorated with sofa seating and little tea tables. Personal touch: Most movies begin with a personal description of the film to be shown, narrated by one of the theater's friendly staff. They might also include trivia or other items of interest about the director or the making of the film. There are no annoying commercials. Just a slideshow while you're waiting, of advertisements from local businesses. Then just a few previews and your movie starts. The sound quality is great and the theaters are small, so you always get a good seat. The theater is owned and run by local Port Townsend residents, who are often there, and will always try to make time for a question or a chat or even just a quick hello between rushing off to check the projector or close the heavy red velvet drapes before the film starts or fill a bag of popcorn. They run a selection of the latest box office hits, classic films, and even ballets and operas. This is especially special since we are so far away from being able to visit such amazing venues as the Met in person. If you're ever in Port Townsend, you MUST make time for a movie visit at the Rose. Going to the Rose Theatre is more than going to the movies, it's a total immersive experience! http://rosetheatre.com One comment about other Yelp reviews: There are new owners who have done a lot to improve the movie-goer experience over the past couple of years. Please ignore negative reviews from a few years ago. Some are petty and others just don't apply anymore. Thanks.
