No street parking at all It used to be called Stockbridge Amphitheater just in case you hear ppl still referring to it by that name. This is a really nice medium sized venue. They do offer various types of seating reserved General Admission, Hightop tables, Box sections, VIP Seating which is the closest to the stage with tables. The venue does a security search through metal detectors, be mindful of policy on bag sizes, cooler sizes & allowed vs unallowed items. Dont be the person to have throw something out or walk back to your car. This is a heads up. The venue also allow you to bring coolers with food & drinks. They do have vendors who will be selling food, sometimes they have food trucks as well. In addition they have bar that serves alcoholic beverages. Overall, its a nice venue, with a nice set up, the staff are friendly, if you are able go to the box office on certain days to purchase tix, it will save you on those high Ticketmaster fees as they do charge a very smaller fee. Be prepared for a small walk if you dont park in the limited free parking or pay the fee to park at the venue. Also, some business also offer fee parking in the area and that also is a walk. The sound system is good. I have seen several artist who come & walk through the audience as they perform. It is a rain or shine venue, however, if its thunderstorms or lightning they will stop the performances & see how to proceed. If they have to reschedule you will be able to use the same tix for the rescheduled date. I will keep going back to Stockbridge Amphitheater as it is well worth the price of tix, the distance which is 30-45 min from College Park Area which is next to the airport (just to give you an idea). We went in blind, but it was right where it was supposed to be based on the GPS directions. Upon entering the space, there are PCs and game systems lining the walls. There is not a lot of decor, but the kids didn't care about that. They wanted to play games. I met the CEO/general manager......I can't remember what he said his title was. He was very professional and accommodating. We purchased a Groupon for PC time and one of the kids wanted to change to console. He allowed it with no problem. There was music playing in the background to add to the gaming vibe. The kids were singing along to songs without even noticing because they were so into their games. The space ain't very big, but there are quite a few systems and PCs to play on. We had a two hour time limit, but no one was over our shoulders telling us when to leaves. Of course we governed ourselves, but we didn't feel pressured to leave at the exact minute that our time was up. They are located in a shopping center that is next to another shopping center with a walmart. They are also across the street from another shopping center with a Dollar Tree. The parking is plentiful and there are lots of other stores in the area. If your kids are old enough, you can step out to run an errand or grab a bite while they play games. We would definitely come back again.

Henry County hosts many free family-friendly events here and there is occasionally a paid event/experience from an external vendor/organization. Our most recent visit was for the county's Hot Summer Fest 2025 (on July 3rd). It included an are show, a drone show, and fireworks, plus games, bouncy houses and water slides before the shows began. We also really love the county's trick or treat event here. This past October (2024) they were doing paid rides on the track so my husband got to take a few high speed spins around the track with a professional driver. Honestly, the speedway seems the perfect location for large festival type events.

BRAVO! We've been attending Griffin Choral Arts performances since the very beginning - and I'm…read moreproud to say that our children really look forward to each and every concert. The music is fantastic, the solo performances are always amazing, and the accompaniments often include a harpist, an organist, and/or a few wind instruments. Performances are always wrapped around a theme - for example, the presentation of the Armed Man (in 2010) mixed powerful visual images (some peaceful, some disturbing) and dancing with beautiful music. On the other hand, the first concert this year (Heavenly Light) conjured up the prospect of what may lie ahead for each of us after life on earth. Our family is eagerly anticipating the Christmas program, which in years past have always delighted with a mix of carols, Christmas classics, beloved sing-alongs and contemporary works. We are also looking forward to the collaboration of the Griffin Choral Arts and the Clayton State Chorale in April when they will be appearing together at Spivey Hall. Congratulations to the GCA for five wonderful years of bringing music to the community as well as our family's heart.

It is not a very big theatre and it is always mind blowing the tricks they do with their sets. Being so close to the audience you see the sets up close and personal. They are always so well dressed and built. The acting is very intimate and spot on. If you are in town or haven't been to this theatre you are missing out. There is nothing better than live theatre. They just closed their production of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Wow! I was in tears with the actors, it was a beautiful production. I cannot wait to go back!

Nestled among the store fronts is a little gem of a theatre called Main Street Players. If the town of Griffin is anything like the people who work at this theater then it must be the nicest and friendliest place on earth. I have seen three plays here. The first was The Dixie Swim Club. The show was great. The women were on spot with their line delivery and their comedic timing. The next was Grace and Gloire. I was a bit worried because the first show was so good I didn't know what to expect. Once again I was not disappointed. The timing and the comedy were there and we really enjoyed the show. The last show I saw was this past weekend called Tintypes. This turned out to be a musical and they had a band to boot. The singing blew me away. So far they are batting three for three. This is a little nonprofit that could and does. They have been around for a decade and there is a reason why. Great shows.

Disclaimer, it could be my bad knees, but after about an hour of sitting, my knee was uncomfortable as it wasn't much space to stretch my leg out in front of me. In this occasion, I was sitting in the far back towards the door. The aisle is pretty big and there is a little room to stand up in the back to stretch your legs. This is not a complaint, just an FYI if you too have a bad knee.
