Regal Huebner Oaks 2/5/26. -/- We went to see a really great movie Friday early morning 11:30am this time. We usually go early afternoons but tried the earlier time and it was not crowded and had wonderful attendants. In particular I'd like to highlight *Justice* :-D We went up for movie snacks and she took our order and all my Reward Point questions because I never know the best way to use them. I tried the pretzel bites because popcorn is my nemesis :-/ I love it but it does not love me back! The movie was starting and they take time to bake...so *Justice* offered to write down our theater and seat numbers and bring them to us when they were ready :-D We have never had anyone offer to do this for us, but that's probably because they are way busier in the late afternoon or evening hours. We are now fans of the morning movie times. She was simply delightful and we so appreciated this extra care she took with us. Oh! The movie was amazing also. We saw SOLO MIO and loved it! Entering the theatre was easy with my digital tickets. We were greeted promptly at the entrance and given directions to our theatre for the evening. The concession experience was a breeze. Needs a bit of updating but the thestre had stadium seats that recline but when they do they make noise and everyone can hear and is distracted. Concession line was lo g and fairly slow. There is a sign for refill line but when we stood under it, we were ignored and when. We went to get someone's attention they said there was no refill line right when we were standing under it. I usually have a good experience here but went to see Disclosure Day and the theatre seat had a crack at the head area and was hard and uncomfortable. We had a great time here at Hepner Oaks. We ordered two hotdogs, popcorn, one large drink, which, by the way is a super Duper, extra large, any medium drink, & a kids snack pack. Just an FYI... If you were planning on drinking a drink by yourself, the medium or smaller is probably the best option. The large was HUGE. The movie theater was clean, everyone was friendly and professional, and the movie was a really cute movie for children. Restrooms were clean. My niece had a blast. read more

Went there to see Wicked. The movie is advertised as 2 hours and 40 minutes long and it literally started 50 minutes late. Not 10 minutes, not 20 minutes, not even 30 or 40 minutes late, but 50 MINUTES LATE. We had to watch ads for Target, UPS, Walmart, and more places than I can even remember. There were a few coming attractions but the rest were just plain old boring ads trying to get us to buy more stuff we don't need for christmas. Please. Spare me, Regal. Is this the only way you can make money? The movie was supposed to start at 12:20. It actually started at 1:10. The intermission was after 3 pm, so no breaks at all for over two and a half hours. Obviously most people could not sit still that long so they were clomping up and down the stairs constantly, apparently all were wearing combat boots and tap shoes. So concentrating on the movie wasn't even an option. And the first hour and a half of the movie could have easily been condensed into 15 minutes: Two witches go to witch school. One is green and one is blonde. At first they don't like each other, then they decide to like each other. The green one is a better witch and gets invited to see the wizard. The blonde one tags along. The green one casts a spell on the monkeys and turns them into flying monkeys. Why TF do you need two hours to tell that story? But honestly, there is no excuse for the theater forcing 50 minutes of their BS paid ads on us, especially when they knew the movie was so long and we had already paid for tickets. Just go somewhere else and do something fun. Skip it. It will be on Netflix or Max eventually and you can pause it and go to the bathroom when you need to. read more

I love this place. I drive practically across town for this place. I'm an avid movie goer and an unlimited pass holder for regal and this is the place to be. Reclining seats, not too cold, great customer service, and very well maintained theater rooms. Never had a dirty screen or audio problems here. And also they understand you when you say lots of butter they put it on in layers so you dont have that dry spot mid way down the bucket lol. Good Parking and lots of restaurants around so its a good location for a date night. read more

We saw a movie here recently and I was pleasantly surprised. We haven't been in years so I wasn't sure what to expect. We had a good experience! The theater was very clean. Lines for concessions moved quickly and they have a wide variety of food items as well as traditional candy and popcorn for sale. They also had beer on draft. The seats were incredibly comfortable and the stadium seating is set up in a way where you have a very unobstructed view of the screen. The seats even fully recline if you want. Wow! read more

Regal Huebner Oaks is my preferred location to watch movies in SATX. The theaters and restrooms are always clean, and I'm never distracted or annoyed with overcrowding. The staff are friendly and professional. I've never experienced any issues here. Great audio! Even the standard theaters almost have the same effects as the RPX. Also, I'd like to encourage you to sign up for the unlimited movies subscription. I purchased the highest subscription which gives me the option to watch unlimited movies at ALL Regal theaters in the US. It's a great purchase if you to got the movies often. I pay anywhere from $0.54 - $2.74 for taxes. read more

I paid $40 for tickets small pop corn and a drink for 2 for Relay today (Aug 25, 2025) and the closed captioning device did not work for me. I went to the service desk and the battery/receiver was changed out. I walked back to my seat and it still didn't work. I tried calling to Regal Huebner Oaks from my seat (we were the only 2 patrons in the the in Screen 8 theatre) and nobody picked up. If the CC devices do not work, do no advertise that you provide the service. The movie is a thriller that depends on the dialogue. I did not enjoy my movie going experience. read more

Employees are not being developed or properly trained on the guest experience. I am a Regal rewards member which is meaningless. No surprise when managers like Casey do not know how to use the POS system. So I get here 20 mins to spare for my movie and it took me that whole time to get my ticket. I was there to redeem a voucher I received when the projector failed on a previous visit. So the first person who I saw told me I have to see the manager for that. He was not there. She called him on her walkie talkie and there is another customer also waiting. I decide to buy my concession treats while I am waiting. Then when I go back to get my ticket, there is already another person with the manager Casey who had since arrived but was struggling with how to ring up her ticket. He calls the real manager on his walkie talkie and they go back and forth and then that manager says "I'll just come down and show you." Then he didn't know how to do it either! So by this time, two more people show up, they also have vouchers. Casey greets them though he completely ignored me until they arrived. He then says that we can get my voucher redeemed at the concession stand. Well damn people why wasn't I told that from the beginning. Michael was the only one that provided good service. Go to Santikos, seriously. I do not like waiting behind 15 people to get my $6 soda. Then missing the previews. Find a better way of operating Regal before San Antonio kicks you to the Update Sat 12/17 like thst they replaced the carpet in the lobby. Recliners here are better thsn Santikos, they recline more and are more cushy. Update: They finally updated the nasty ass theater! Auditorium #12 was noyce! Love the new recliners and the lay out! Also the service at the concession stand was on point today! Now you guys need to refurbish the lobby! Also, install self-serve soda fountains like Santikos! Ok this place is officially ghetto. Dirty stained carpets, stinky theaters, they have been saying forever they are going to install luxury seats that recline, where they at? Dang place be nasty! Managers do not know their business, how to anticipate or serve middle class theater goers. Why is there a line 15 deep before another register opens. Then why do you let people who waited less time in the first line go into the newly open line. Managers have no verbal or social skills to receive and coordinate the public. read more

Thank goodness I got to the theater 45 min before my movie was to start because 30 of that was spent WAITING in the concession line. I was stumped to see all of the 4 lines around me moving EXCEPT The one I was in. (Another line did open up -- but I couldn't get to it since I was in the middle line). Come to find out -- the family at the register was actually buying movie tickets at the register -- with CASH -- at a register that clearly said Credit Card only! Poor girl at the register was doing her best. In order to prevent such a hold up -- PLEASE open up the ticket counter again or have ONE REGISTER just for purchasing seats or even have a ticket kiosk like some of your competitors do. I will NOT be going to a Regal theater again. To top it off...I spent $23 on food that was horrible! VERY disappointing. read more

Our usual theatre of choice is Alamo Drafthouse, but since we were close to this location figured "what the heck" and we bought tickets to see wicked. The lobby was clean and the theatre was clean, and the seats were very comfy. The theatre has no rules in place for anything. A couple brought an infant baby and a 3 year old toddler to an almost 3 HOUR MOVIE! There was screaming, crying, and parents arguing throughout the movie, people on phones, someone with a flashlight and overall the movie (from what we could focus on) was good, but we will not be going back to this theatre ever! read more

When it's date night we love to catch a movie here. This location is always clean and well staffed. I love the new comfy seating as well as preselected seats. The price is comparable to other theaters, but is pretty steep if you have a family of 4 like mine. When you factor in concession snacks the price can be a pretty penny. We've seen movies at this location many times and have never had a bad experience. I appreciate that they have summer time cartoon deals for the family. We found some unexpired Regal Cinema movie passes and decided to stop in for an early showing (11AM) of Us on a Saturday. The theater is conveniently located right off of I-10 in the Huebner Oaks shopping center, near plenty of restaurants for when you get hungry after a long movie. There is ample parking -- when we pulled in around 10:55AM, it was pretty empty. It's been awhile since we've been to the movies, so we were pleasantly surprised to see that they have reserved/assigned seating that you select at the box office when purchasing your tickets. The employees were friendly, and efficiently processed our passes. What we didn't expect to see were large theaters, all with individually reclining chairs, ample cupholders, and large, comfortable cushions! I had a great experience seeing a movie here. All the public spaces were very clean, and employees were helpful and kind. Bottom line: Low key, uncrowded, clean cinema with big selection of movies at convenient showtimes, reserved seating, and large, comfortable, recliner chairs. Highly recommend! read more

Are you looking for an up to date theater, but one that's away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds? If you are, the Huebner Oaks theater is the one to check out. Parking lot traffic in this place is a breeze and the place isn't usually too crowded - I love it! They have electric FULL reclining pleather seats (and I mean they recline ALL the way), and great screens for your favorite movie. I don't think I mentioned this, but yes, they have BEER!!!! Really, this is a chilled out theater but still clean and up to date. Don't fight the crowds and the traffic at those other theaters on this side of town. Gotta love it! read more

I went in to watch a movie on a Saturday afternoon the guy selling me the ticket was not listening half the time then when I got the ticket seat I proceeded to order food. So right to it, it was a Sunday night approximately 11pm, I have my center seat, and center aisle. The theater is pretty much empty, from past history at this location I knew not to get my hopes up on actually enjoying the movie with no distractions or rude customers. The lights dim and wouldn't you know it, a family with 3 kids ages from 4 - 9 walk in. Remember the theater is pretty much empty but no matter they happen to sit right next to me. SMH. Call me old fashioned but 11pm for these kids on a Sunday, Why are ya'll not in bed? Granted the movie was live action Lion King 3D so no huge surprise that kids were there. So the kids sit and start bickering about who sits where, and who holds the popcorn smh, luckily right from the get go the movie sucked and I didn't care about the noisy kids. The line to order anything was extremely long, and the menu was limited despite advertising many options. The staff member who checked me in for my 3D movie was supposed to provide glasses but didn't, so half the patrons had to go back to the front to get them as the movie started. They still honored my old free ticket voucher I earned from their rewards card AGES ago!!! With a smile no less! It's strange walking inside this theater - especially if you remember how it was set up when it was the old AMC Huebner Oaks 24. The smell from the tar in the parking lot is still fresh in the air when you come here in the middle of the day. The updates to the front area are nice but if you do happen to remember what it looked like before, when you step inside, you'll see the right area completely closed off with a wall (with a couple of tables and chairs by it). The lobby is generally the same as before and the rest of the theaters are off in the left wing. If you check out the left wing, in the area where the 'second lobby' used to be at now houses party rooms. The way I saw it decorated was in two seperate rooms (one side to show an example of a kids party and the other side as an example for adults). The rooms were seperated by a divider (lending itself to more people to a party if needed). The chairs were comfy but I didn't like that you couldn't pull the arm rests up like you could before. Sucks if there's no one really around you and you just wanna relax a bit instead of being constricted within your seat by the arm rests. The sound was exceptional and the screen was clear. The prices are pretty much the way they were when they sold first run movies at the nearby Fiesta 16. read more

I fully expected Regal to rise to the occasion when Santikos started upgrading its theaters and I have been slighlty dissapointed. The first thing you'll notice is that this particular theater always has the coffee machine down. I have come multiple times to be told the coffee doesn't work. The next thing I notice is that they do not have the best food options. Santikos Embassy Row is not too much further and they have food bordering on gourmet food options. Here you get pretty much the same type of movie food you have always gotten, except more expensive than ever. The only plus (the reason for 3 stars) were the seats. I think they have larger and more comfortable seats than Santikos. I hope the rest of the theater catches up to the great seats. read more

I understand the coronavirus crisis and taking appropriate action for health risks. But deceiving your customers, not offering a resolution, and doing so to make a buck? Despicable. No refills on large sizes. I get not refilling the bucket or cup, but GET A NEW ONE. Not only that, but there is NO signage and your concessions staff also don't tell you until AFTER you pay for it! I will be cancelling my Unlimited and not returning. Absolutely dishonest and disgusting of you to not offer a REPLACEMENT instead of a refill and to NOT tell your guests. As a San Antonio native, I've been a loyal patron to huebner oaks since I was in high school. Over the last few years, this theater has gone through some renovations that have made huebner oaks my new go to theater. When you walk in, the concession stand is directly in front of you. Let me tell you, I love movie theater popcorn. I swear they have popcorn scented air freshener that they pump through the air ducts. This theater always has fresh made popcorn. They've kicked up their concessions from the popcorn and nachos of yester-year and now sell hamburgers, chicken tenders, and all kinds of "meals" for you to enjoy during your movie. This theater has rooms in the back specifically dedicated to kids birthday parties, which is a great option for parents who want to do something a little different for their child's special day. The best part of this theater are the new recliner seats in every theater. Gotta love being able to lay back as if you're at home and enjoy your movie. The location of this theater is great as it's right by the i-10/410 exchange and directly across from a shopping center. Perfect for date night or a solo movie date! read more

Very nice entrance and lobby. A larger than usual food menu with burgers, pizzas, fried cheese sticks, churos, ice cream and more. The food was decent and freshly made, maybe because we were going to a 10 pm show on a week night, they made everything after we ordered. We waited about 10 minutes and that's ok for fresh made food. This place is great in that it is 1) assigned, 2) recliner seats and 3) you can buy online. Problem is - concessions. Do not plan on buying concessions here. What is with San Antonio movie theaters making you pick your seats? I HATE THAT! What? Are we 4th graders needing assigned seating so our teachers learn our names and know where we are? The reclining seats are very nice touch - and, from what I can tell - you get them paying not very much more than you would at another theater without them. Arrived about 40 minutes early to the theater; wanted to know when the theater would be open (given they had to clean it, etc.) for the 6:45 showing. The employee responded, "6:45". We couldn't seem to get him to understand we KNEW what time the movie started, but were asking when the theater would start SEATING people BEFORE the 6:45 start time. Frustrated, we just walked away. Hope the $15 minimum wage movement doesn't make it's way to Texas. I like this theater for several reasons. It is always kept very clean, no matter what time or day I have been there. The bathrooms are really clean as well. They are very friendly here. Even when the concession stand is busy, the staff have been helpful and nice. There is also a nice selection of food items to choose from at the concession stand as well as beer, wine, and frozen drinks with liquor. Every theater has reclining seats which is a plus. At times the line can get long and slow at the ticket counter, so I usually purchase my tickets on Fandango in advance; it also insures I don't get stuck with a bad assigned seat.
