Regal Huebner Oaks 2/5/26. -/-…read more We went to see a really great movie Friday early morning 11:30am this time. We usually go early afternoons but tried the earlier time and it was not crowded and had wonderful attendants. In particular I'd like to highlight *Justice* :-D We went up for movie snacks and she took our order and all my Reward Point questions because I never know the best way to use them. I tried the pretzel bites because popcorn is my nemesis :-/ I love it but it does not love me back! The movie was starting and they take time to bake...so *Justice* offered to write down our theater and seat numbers and bring them to us when they were ready :-D We have never had anyone offer to do this for us, but that's probably because they are way busier in the late afternoon or evening hours. We are now fans of the morning movie times. She was simply delightful and we so appreciated this extra care she took with us. Oh! The movie was amazing also. We saw SOLO MIO and loved it! I'm still struggling with the seats after all these years, but oh well...at least they are very roomy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks Regal at Huebner Oaks for always making us feel special at the movies. You are all always friendly and attentive, we appreciate you :-) ~LindaD

I've been to special screenings, quote alongs, and countless movies. And I'm done. Saw a movie tonight with their new ordering system, terrible recliners, and squeaky tables, and I realized the magic of that place is dead. The online ordering was awful. I paid for everything under 1 order but there was 15 minutes between 1 seat and the other getting items. When I finally got my food the water I ordered didn't arrive until I requested multiple refills through the online system which meant I had to keep my phone on the entire time. I would've felt better if I could've talked to a server but it was a bit chaotic. They were all running around looking a bit overwhelmed and lost. The only way to get help is to request a manager through the website, which felt like overkill. Final straw was realizing that despite paying via credit card when you order, they charge you another 5% (on top of the included 18% service fee) if you don't go back into the order system and close out after the movie ends. I don't want to be a slave to my phone. One of the greatest joys of the Alamo Drafthouse was their strictly enforced no phone policy, but those days are done. When Santikos or AMC tried to introduce fancier food I thought they were poor imitations of the Drafthouse, but now the Drafthouse feels like it dumbed itself down to be a poor imitation of them.

It looks like they are mid-renovation. Much of the interior is either outdated or under construction. On the ground level there are a couple kiosks to purchase your ticket and a ticket taker employee before you get on the long and steep escalator. At the top of the escalator you have a hallway of theaters. There is a concessions area, but I had to ask an attendant at the top of the escalator where the concessions was. It was located on the other side of the wall (of the hallway). The concessions is fairly small in size, but they offer most all of the typical Regal treats The staff were helpful and professional. And it's not a bad movie going experience. I think I was just put off by the construction and the confusing layout. There wasn't a usable escalator to get back to ground level and I had to use an elevator (I only saw one), and this felt like a fire hazard, but there must have been stairs somewhere Some tips: Join regal rewards to earn points with every purchase. I am also a huge advocate of the Regal Unlimited Pass. If you're a frequent movie-goer like I am you can see virtually unlimited movies and you get a discount on concessions Cheers!

We were the only people in the place. They didnt start rolling the comercials until we were seated at 12:10. After 15 minutes I asked the manager if we could transfer to a movie already in progress. None of the other projectors were turned on. The only way we could watch the movie was to sit thru 35 min of comercials. This cinema doesnt treat you as a customer... they treat you like a product to sell advertising. We had to be at the airport at 4.... we couldnt see the movie and the comercials. We asked for a refund... they were so unpleasant we gave up... no movie... no refund. Worst experiance ever.

We came from Houston to San Antonio to visit the majestic theater for a show, and I researched and…read morefound out AMC Rivercenter has a 70mm IMAX theater. I was immediately excited, as I thought the only one in Texas was in Dallas and I was NOT driving there. I booked tickets to see the Odyssey on what I THOUGHT was today, however I accidentally booked them for next Sunday. I was informed of this at the check in and was devastated at my own error. I asked if we could still get tickets for this showing and the attendant said it was full (understandably as this is a new movie and this viewing version is only available at certain theaters). They had tickets for a 10pm showing, but we were unable to stay in San Antonio that late as we had to be back in Houston this evening for appointments. I then asked if we could wait and see if someone didn't show up if we could buy tickets for their seats. I was told this was unlikely (understandably), but I could talk to the attendant at a different counter and see if it was possible to wait. I went there and spoke to Keely. I repeated the situation and asked again if we would be able to wait and see if someone didn't show up. She was very understanding and kind and reiterated she didn't think that would be possible but she would ask her manager. Doreen was the manager on duty and I repeated the situation. She said she would look and see if anyone had cancelled their tickets and if any more seating was available, but could not guarantee anything, and if seats were available they likely wouldn't be good seats (again, understandable). I told her I would be grateful for any seats. She looked, and there happened to be two handicapped seats available (my mother who was with me is handicapped). The seats were in an area she didn't have to worry about accessibility. And I am so grateful to the team there and wanted to reach out and let you know how well your team at the Rivercenter is taking care of customers. I am beyond grateful to have seen such a wonderful film as intended by the creators and it was only possible thanks to your wonderful team. I hope you take the time to recognize Keely and Doreen for going above and beyond what they had to in order to help a movie lover in a difficult situation that was my own mistake. Very Respectfully, Cecilia Rivera P.S. the theater was very clean including the restrooms and the staff let the handicapped individuals (there were more than us) in the show out of a side exit so we did not get jostled in the crowd leaving and I am also very grateful for that. TLDR: The theater staff and the theater itself is amazing and they all deserve a minimum $1.00/hr raise.

Three years and a day later, after graduating and relocating to Central Texas, we drove just about an hour each to see Odyssey. This is Yelp, not Letterboxd, so my opinions on Odyssey are not in the review, but seeing a movie in 70mm IMAX on a screen as huge as the one here at the Rivercenter AMC turns a movie into an attraction. It makes a movie feel like an event. A barnburner. It's unlike anything else. I don't care how uncomfortable the seats might be... Okay, I care a little. The IMAX theater crams people into that theater like an airline. You are practically sitting on people's laps, and if anyone around you shows up late, needs to go to the bathroom, or gets up for any reason, they have to part the Nicole Kidman AMC Red Sea. If you shop at the big and tall section at the store, you're not gonna have a comfortable experience. The concession, like all AMCs, feels illegal, but are you NOT gonna drink an unreasonably large soda? Whatever. I hope after maintaining this IMAX projector through Odyssey, they continue to show movies in 70mm at this AMC. Time will only tell. P.S., after the Rivercenter parking garage changed to Metropolis parking, you only get a discount on parking with a ticket. Not a fan! RIYL: The big screen. The comically large screen.

It's been awhile since I've been to this theater and remembered that the reclining seats weren't as comfortable as Alamo Drafthouse's. Well I think they had a remodel since then because the seats were very cushiony, seemed newer as the seats weren't worn down and the width of the seats and spacing between seats seemed ample enough that you're not going to bump your neighbor. The tray tables are also well-placed so that your table isn't impeding your view. I think it was well-designed. It was a smaller theater with only 5 rows but the terraced rows were low enough that someone walking in the lower row won't impede your view as well. The theater wasn't super cold as some places are where I'm using a hoodie and jacket in the middle of summer. Folks in line and around us still brought their blankets, LOL! To note, there's a $5 Santikos ticket deal where you can buy these tickets during the last few showings of a featured movie. They're only available for purchase at the theater according to the onscreen ad. Concession stands are downstairs and there's a bar. The screen showed a clip where you can order your food and have it brought to you for a small service fee. There was also a message of knowing where to exit and being vigilant with your surroundings or something to that effect. It's always good to be street-smart these days. After the movie, we exited and there was a Sheriff's Deputy that was outside and looking at his phone. I figured he was going to be on guard today or perhaps the weekend since a major world event occurred today that I expected ramped up security in public places.
