Incredible transformation! I've been coming here for off and on for years, and the recent renovation has completely changed the game. It doesn't even feel like the same theater anymore. The new interior is sleek and modern, but the biggest win is the seating. Every auditorium now has those luxury kick-back recliners. They are seriously comfortable plenty of room to actually relax without bumping elbows with your neighbor. If you can, grab a seat in the AVX rooms; the laser projection is crisp and definitely. It's basically a full entertainment hub now. They've added a massive arcade and a top-tier bowling alley that's actually fun to hang out at even if you aren't seeing a film. The sports bar area is also a great addition for grabbing a drink or some food before the show starts. Even with all the new tech and self-service options, the staff here is still great. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference when the place is packed on a weekend. read more

Santikos Silverado is a great movie theater. Many people still think it's a bit run down based on how it used to be, but it was remodeled a year or two ago and is now a great place to watch a movie. They have multiple screens, fill-your-own popcorn, food options, a bar, an arcade, and even a bowling area. They also have the freestyle soda machines as well as icee machines for those of you (or your kids) who love icee's. As far as service, we've never had any issues - the workers are helpful and patient - and overall it's a really great place to catch a movie. Overall, you won't be disappointed! read more

Haven't been to the Sliverado in a while but I'm glad I stopped in to check out a movie so I could see for myself the great renovation job they have done. Not only has the theater been updated will all reclining seats, but they have added a bar and bowling areas to provide a full entertainment experience. I also like the self-serve popcorn and butter dispenser that lets you fix the popcorn the way you like it. The staff was friendly and the theater was clean. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will not look to come here more often. Come check it out if it's been a while since you've been here. read more

NEW UPDATED REVIEW. OLD REVIEW LISTED AT THE BOTTOM. Since it opened, Casa Blanca was our favorite movie theater to attend almost anytime we went to the movies. We loved Santikos so much and have spent thousands of dollars watching movies and enjoying meals there. When our 17-year-old son, who grew up watching movies at Casa Blanca and other Santikos theaters, wanted to apply for his first job, we were so happy he applied and was hired to work with Santikos. After enduring several days of training at the Palladium, he was excited to start his first day at Casa Blanca, but sadly, he was treated so rudely and unprofessionally by the managers on staff on his first day. They did not welcome him, they did not guide him, all they did was talk down to him, and even yell at him in front of the customers in line for concessions, specifically by a manager named James. He completed his shift and contacted HR to let them know about the toxic and hostile work environment he experienced, and asked them if it would be possible for him to transfer back to the Palladium, which is where he originally applied, but they told him there was nothing available for him. He contemplated returning to Casa Blanca, but decided that this type of abuse on his first day is unlikely to get any better so he resigned. He drafted a well thought out and detailed resignation letter and emailed it to HR. Instead of showing any sympathy or asking if there was anything they could to do help. All they responded with was his termination has been processed. It seems like they didn't care one bit about what their new, young, and excited employee explained to them, and just decided to brush him off. This seems like a huge contradiction from the statement on their employment page saying, "You will see a culture of open communication, team building, and encouragement." Every single place I have ever worked or any new employee I have ever hired or welcomed to our team has been treated with respect and given guidance on their first day on site. Why they decided to treat our son so rudely and disrespectfully, I will never understand, but some kindness and encouragement for someone new to a position goes a long way. Our family grew up watching movies in Santikos theaters, but after this experience, we may never set a foot in a Santikos, and will start encouraging our family and friends to do the same. I hope that James, the other managers at Casa Blanca, and the HR learn to treat their new employees better or they will have trouble retaining good employees when the job market gets better. Great sound effects, comfortable, spacious recliners with a swivel table for snacks and drinks, and you can choose a couple of positions to watch movies in. Popcorn and drinks are self-serve with free refills on both. Frozen coke and Cherry are also available in self-serve. Popcorn is dispensed through a button, unable to be contaminated by hands. Very clean theater and bathrooms. Plenty of parking as well. read more

The professionalism of the employees! I was at your Alexandria location with about 15 church members and from the minute we came in we were spoken to in a condescending manner. In all my 65 years I've never been so disrespected or humiliated. We also were told by a couple of the 10 children admitted to being afraid of Bri, who by the way we were told was a manager. Ethan a coworker apologized but the manager did not. I will never visit any of your establishment with my church again. Thanks for your time. I recently visited Santikos with my family. We used to be loyal customers, but we switched to Flick because their food and service are much better. I want to sincerely commend Santikos--the gentleman at the food and beverage counter has special needs, and he was truly exceptional. His kindness and professionalism touched us deeply, and we would gladly return just because of his wonderful manner. Unfortunately, the movie theater wasn't very clean, and the seats weren't as comfortable as Flick's, but the staff's dedication left a lasting impression. read more

This theater has been through an amazing upgrade. All theater seats and screens are upgraded and super comfy. There is a huge full bar, arcade and bowling alley. There's also private party rooms. I saw a movie on military Mondays discounted day that also honors first responders. However I do not always carry my badge on me on my days off I do have a photo of it on my phone. The cashier told us that we need to bring a physical one and he would honor it this time .. that's no problem, every time I've come they honored the picture on my phone but moving forward I understand... however he told me to zoom in and kept looking at the picture and then at me and my credentials he also seemed skeptical, he was very cold to us and the people behind us. I love that they did a remodel to this location. After dinner we headed to the movies to see the new Mufasa movie with my partner and child. It was a slow Sunday and I saw online that there was a lot of available seats to see the movie but we were got there I only saw three spots left. We got those spots and went to sit down and the entire theater was basically empty! I went to the front and told them about it and they happily helped me switch my chairs! Great management, he was helpful and got me new tickets for different seats right away! Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. It's a decent theatre however there are some service issues.....they do not accept cash for tickets nor concessions......only cards.....also do not be fooled and get tickets on their app.....they charge you 30 percent convenience fee......and when confronted the manager told me.... its the reservation fee......their food is not the greatest......so bring a backpack with your food.....lol read more

This place was so good outside and looks so cool with all the lights. The staff were all nice and funny at the same time especially the one who assisted us after the movie they are the one waiting to clean the mess of people who didn't. The cinema chair, I did not find my comfortability with the seat I got. You know the foot rest it has a lot of popcorn. It seems like no one saw it and it's crazy feel like it's the whole box of a popcorn been damped there. Hopefully they can double check it because it's weird resting feet with popcorns. read more

I hadn't been to a movie in a while and I figured with my evening free I would go finally catch something. I went to this Santikos because it had a late showing of Shang Chi that I was able to walk in and get a ticket about 15 minutes before showtime and had time to go get popcorn and soda (love that Coca-Cola Freestyle!) before the the movie began, but then again it was a quiet weeknight. The auditorium itself was pretty empty as well which meant it was pretty easy to focus on the movie without many distractions from others. In fact, I was probably the distracting to others as I ended up going to get refills and using the bathroom respectively. read more

We had a great time with friends and family bowling and playing arcades. We hadn't see this place since it was renovated and was really impressed with the updated look. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and were quick to get us food and drinks. Management was responsive when we had some minor issues with the bowling lane resetting. We noticed other folks had some issues with the lanes so I would recommend to keep track of the time that your party stagnates to get more bowling time or credit time for another day, which the manager did for us. I would recommend for this establishment to either have more technicians working the lanes to fix the kinks and mitigate the longer than expected wait times in restoring service to the lanes during peak hours of operation. Other than that, we had a great time and will be coming back to catch a movie and do some more bowling. read more

Silverado 16 movie theater is located on the North West side of Sanantonio. It is one of the older theatres, but like all the Santikos movie theaters it is very nice both on the inside and out. If your hungry for something more than popcorn and snacks, they also have "Rough Rider Cafe" located in the theatre which provides multiple menu itemms like burgers, wings, beer, etc. read more

I love coming to this theater! I always make sure to order their chicken tenders plate. The great thing about this is that Silverado also offers wings. What does this mean you ask? Well, it means that although it's not on the menu, I can request to toss the chicken tenders in a wing sauce. Of course, I always ask to toss mine in their lemon pepper sauce. YUMM!! You can see the final product in the photos I attach to this review. The best part about all this is believing that the tenders are not frozen! I give restaurants a hassle when they serve frozen tenders. If these tenders are frozen, then Silverado definitely has me fooled!! They're delicious! I haven't had a bad experience ordering or with the cashiers and they always have smiles on their faces. Santikos Silverado is one of my favorite San Antonio movie theaters. :P read more

This used to be my go to theater until casa Blanca opened. I had not been there in quite awhile, but it hasn't changed much. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. They do have more food and drink options. That's great considering theaters are going to the food, drinks and a movie experience. They have Mixed drinks in a can, margaritas and beer. Food is your typical theater food and easy, quick foods like pizza and wings. The theater was clean. The seats were comfortable. Parking was great, but it was a weekday. I've been on a weekend and it can get difficult finding a spot. read more

Very friendly staff with clean and well maintained facilities. My MIL was in town and she wanted to go see the new Mary Poppins movie. We bought our tickets at the exterior box office. Went inside, got concessions, and headed toward the theater. We were early. We started to go in, but the theater was dark and we quickly realized the previous showing was still taking place. We left and found a bench to wait. The sign above the theatre didn't say a showing was taking place. It said next showing at... The signage is my only complaint. I feel like it should indicate a showing in progress. Then, when the showing let out and the staff was cleaning, the sign said "Now seating" when there was a rope barrier across the door. So again, poor signage. While waiting, I realized I had seats 2 and 3 when I had requested the end seats. I went to the customer service desk to ask. I was told they were the end seats and "that's just how the numbering works" on certain rows. Although it didn't make sense to me (nor was it well explained), I was told "it works for us". Cool... you aren't the customer but y'all do get to deal with all the questions. We went into the theater and realized there were too many stairs for my MIL (bad knees). I went back to customer service and got someone much nicer who politely helped get the seats changed to a better location for her. The seats were comfortable and the theater was clean. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. There are benches throughout the interior and exterior for your waiting convenience. Overall, a pretty good theater. read more

Not a bad theater. Santikos is one of the main local theater in this area. The theater is clean and even though you would think all establishments should be clean we know from our experiences this is false. It is an older place but they kept up with it very well. It also offers the features of being able to purchase tickets online and picking your seats. As with most Santikos theaters and an increasing trend you can purchase alcoholic drinks here. It is not a large megaplex but not a small indie theater. It fits into the medium size category but you will never know by looking at it from the outside. It is located in the northwest portion of San Antonio outside the 1604 loop near Bandera road and very easy to get to. read more

This is my favorite movie theater. I love the seats, the size of each theater, the popcorn is always fresh, and staff is friendly.

We did the VIP section upstairs with food service and free popcorn. The seats also recline, has dividers,(yay) and are comfortable. No one under 18 is allowed upstairs so if you''re taking a break from the kids, this would be the perfect place to come. You also have to purchase the seats in pairs so don't bother bringing the 3rd wheel! So all good and happiness reins until you get to the food. My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and he said it 'wasn't bad'. On the other hand, the calamari appetizer was chewy and bland and the Greek flatbread was kinda tasteless. The moral to this story is to eat before or after the show. Sadly, when we lived in Austin, the Moviehouse and eatery or IPIC had pretty darn good food. Sad face. read more

We were out and about today for my husbands birthday!!! We haven't seen a movie in a while so decided to see "Case For Christ" after lunch at Pappadeaux. We decided to go to the theater that accommodated our schedule. Santikos Silverado was the place~ I have Santiko Loyalty Rewards which can be earned and used at all Santikos theaters; points can really add up for refreshments or ticket purchases. I was taken aback when my husband and I were seriously the only 2 people in the entire theater for this movie which started at 5:10p on a Tuesday evening. That says nothing bad about this establishment, I am glad they chose this movie to run in some of their theaters! We loved the movie and hope that more people will be able to see it. This movie is a switch from the violent movies that draw so many people to watch. In our time of so much hatred and violence and shear evil in the world I want to thank Santikos for bringing this movie of Love and Jesus to the forefront! We need more of Him to change the hearts of many. Thank you for keeping your theaters clean and hiring such friendly people to work at your place! I also love that the owner made it a non-profit and donated it, which was the largest single charitable donation in the history of San Antonio and in the United States that year!!! They have a loyalty program and you earn points with your purchases. The seating is always comfortable and they have different options for your viewing experience. There is a bar and restaurant on site. The theaters are always clean and comfortable. The drinks are refillable and so is the large popcorn, we always get a refill before we leave. I like that you can pick your seating beforehand, so you do not have to get there early to get a good seat. read more

It's nice but like most other theaters in town can get packed when something highly anticipated comes out. The choose your seat system is cool if you don't want to wait in line to get a preferred seat. Plus you're able to see how many people have already purchased tickets at the POS. I've been to just about every single theater north of hwy 90 and this one does the job. They have screens, the sound system works. But in the age of Netflix and pirated streaming, cmon. Theres no Movie Palace appeal. Sad little concession stand in the middle. Two dark hallways leading to some past-their-prime screen rooms. To be clear, very clean, no problems, but also no wow factor, no reason to brag, no awe. No special stuff to remember. I do have to admit they had an early screening of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY(exhilarating), which gave purpose to my appearance. It was handled well.
