Classic movie theater experience. Buying tickets online was super easy, and you could even buy your food online too! The theater was really clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I am not the biggest fan of their recliners though, as your feet don't lay flat and are instead a little bent. A little uncomfortable for me, but I'm sure other people love it. read more

Swiftly declining in cleanliness. This has never been the cleanest of theaters, but in the last several months it's been absolutely abysmal. The buttons on the theater chairs are slick with popcorn butter, there's frequently water pooling outside of the main lobby bathrooms and up the carpet to the ticket check, and the bathrooms themselves are literal biohazards with several stalls unable to be used due to the severity of the 'disasters.' These, amongst other things, are not one offs or occasional occurrences; the dirty theaters and bathrooms have been a consistent recurrence every time I've visited to watch a film recently. This last visit was the worst it's been and I left feeling horrified and disgusted as the place was so unsanitary. I've been going here for a while now as the $5 Tuesdays are admittedly an absolute steal, but I can't say how much longer I'll continue to see movies here if at all. This theater could benefit greatly from a dedicated cleaning crew. read more

I went there to see a Wuthering Heights matinee this past Sunday afternoon. I sat towards the back in the handicap row so that I could park my rollator walker next to me. I specifically chose this theater for the "luxury reclining seats" but my seat wouldn't recline. I moved one seat over and that one wouldn't recline either. Thank goodness barely anyone was in the theater, because I had to move several seats over to find a recliner that worked. I sat there very comfortably for about an hour and a half and then went to use the restroom. Went back to my seat and it also wouldn't recline! I can't sit with my feet down for very long without experiencing increased pain, which is why I chose this theater. The rest of my time there was positive, but I'm concerned about returning because of the issue with the seats not being able to recline. I'm worried that I'd return to a full theater and not be able to elevate my legs and feet in the future. Small theater, so I didn't have to walk very far to get to my seat or the restroom. The employees are very nice and helpful. I only had a smart water so I can't remark on the snacks. read more

I remember when this was a dollar theater back in the day. I saw Oliver Stone's "The Doors" and I believe Scorsese's, " Goodfellas" in a double feature. I also hearken back to that time when I saw the person carrying a backpack with 5 kids. It was for a deliberate reason. Enter the sounds of snuck in sodas and snacks. It was dingy but admission to get in was cheap. Now theaters have become visual representions of our homes. Reclining chairs, table side service and designer foods. The whole point of going to movies was to surrender to the movie. But now that time has passed. Even though this place has re-opened and still maintains its former glory, it is no match for the litany of mega-theaters and burgeoning streaming services. Maybe my review is to opine as in nostalgia but that is not such a bad thing. Plus I can't do the bigger theaters where everything is on the other side of the world. Firstly tickets are really, really cheap. If you don't mind 30 minutes of trailers, the compromise is subtle. In addition I really see no major difference in sound and film quality versus the major outlets. Although with praise there must be critique. One major thing patrons will not agree with are the concession's pricing. Popcorn is outrageous. Beverages are going to put a hurting to your wallet. And an almost seemingly 10$ dollar Icee? With no accompanying refills? Simple solution, join their membership loyalty club for a monthly fee of $10 bucks. It really saves you money. I must mention a caveat. The crowd can be interesting. I one time saw a dude dressed like a wizard. And a couple next to us were discussing their men troubles. Almost throughout the whole movie. I suppose living four years apart and now reacquainting ourselves to sitting together is still problematic. I must say I do like this theater despite all forementioned things. It is not pretending to be anything other than what it is. They offer premium films at inexpensive prices. Concession prices leave little to be desired. But again my theater hack is to sneak in a bag of Sour Patch Kids and wait for the loud "Fast and Furious MCIIIV" trailers to pop open drinks. I mean it's not the Alamo Drafthouse but I don't think that's a bad thing either. ps. I wish my partner would stop selecting horror movies when we go! I miss my arthouse films. read more

This was the first time at this theater and I preordered my Halloween II tickets online along with the Michael Myers popcorn bucket and drinks. They did not have my popcorn bucket so they refunded my apologizing that corporate should not have allowed the purchase online. And then the theater seats were not cleaned. There was leftover popcorn in cup holders and such. And throughout the movie you can hear the movie in the theater next to us. And did not enjoy the movie because the screen was so close we had to look up the entire time and we were in the third row. Never again. Im going back to Alamo Drafthouse. read more

The overall experience here was great. It was easy to print off my purchased tickets at the kiosk by the front entrance opposite of the arcade. For food, I ordered popcorn, chicken strips, nachos, and drinks (water and sprite). We received our popcorn right away and the cashier asked for our tickets and seat numbers. I asked why they needed that information and he said it was so that they could bring our hot food to our seats so we didn't have to wait for it! That option is ideal for those of us that want to see previews. The reclining theater seats are very comfortable and they have heated options from low, medium, to high. I've never experienced heated seats in the theater and as someone who always brings a blanket to the movies, this was a delight! After we got settled in and were watching the previews, the hot food was delivered to our seats. The food came out fast and it was hot. The chicken strips were seasoned well and the nachos were your average movie nachos. The only negative thing about this theater would be the women's restroom. Most of the stalls were dirty. Since this is the only bad thing I can say about this movie theater, I will be back because I did have a good experience. read more

We all remember when this used to be the dollar movies. It wasn't a bad theater. It was showing its age for sure. Well, now it's been remodeled and it's well worth checking it out. The best of the remodel is that all the seats are recliners and they are heated. Yes, I said they have heated seats. It's probably my favorite feature. The theater is clean. You can buy your ticket online and use the QR code instead of having to wait in line for a ticket. You can also order your food when you buy your tickets. They also have the option to order your food and have it delivered to your seat via the app. Prices overall are cheaper than most places. Even at the concession stand. They do have frozen alcoholic drinks. Parking is on site and there's plenty of it. read more

I'm new to SATX and I'm assuming this an older Cinemark. It would be nice if they updated it. The lobby was a little mess and the floors were sticky, I'm assuming from spilled drinks. We purchased tickets through the app for Gran Turismo. We order food and Evan was really nice and helpful! They didn't have hot dogs ready, so we had to come back and get them. Evan ensured they'd be ready and they were when I came back. He seemed very nervous and overwhelmed but he kept his composure. I was surprised that he mentioned I could use my extra tickets on my account for a credit toward my concession food I believe it's $11 a ticket. So I used two extra tickets ($22 credit) so I paid $2 for a large popcorn, 2 drinks and 2 hot dogs :D thanks Evan! read more

Hello, so we came to see a movie that supposedly started at 7:20 pm, but to our dismay it's 8:15 and the movie still hasn't started. We're sitting here having to watch all these non sense commercials going on 45 min. We paid to see a movie not commercials and trailers. I've been getting a lot of ads for "private screenings" at Cinemark. For fun, I clicked on the ad and realized I could book one of these theaters for a current screened movie for CHEAP! (Prices currently are $75-$175 depending on the movie, day/time) Perfect, my husband never had a birthday celebrating (due to Covid) and has been wanting to see Tenent and missing movie theater popcorn. I booked it on a Saturday at 3pm, invited 14 of our friends (max you can have is 20). For that day, time and movie, cost after taxes was $167. We got to the movie theater, which was empty, and ordered popcorn, snacks, icees etc and made our way to the private screening. Along the way there were plenty of spots to get hand sanitizer, wipes, etc. The lounging seats were really nice, the theater was small but we had lots of space to social distance. It was really fun to have our own theater. We could talk across rows and not worry about other people. If they continue offering private screenings at these prices, I will easily do one again around the holidays. The theater was clean, employees were nice and prices were very affordable. Plus, it felt almost normal during these crazy times. A few times I had friends mentioned how this used to be a dollar theater when they had been there (years before) but obviously that's not the case any more. They invested time and money turning this into a regular theater (small viewings) and it really shows. read more

This place is hilarious. My chair was broke, and the guy helped us at the snacks seemed like he was there against his will. But the absolute best thing is my buddy bought our tickets for deadpool and wolverine 3D online. We get there, bought our snacks and at no point did anyone other than that guy helping us with snacks talk to us. No one checked our tickets or anything. We usually buy our tickets online and reserve our seats a few hours before the movie. At $8.75 per ticket for a luxury seating theater, it's pretty hard to find a better deal. The seats themselves are reclinable and have seat warmers, so you feel like you're at home. Extremely dirty smells like pee, seats are broken and malfunctioning. employees do not clean their stands. Rather stand around and talk instead of doing their jobs. We went to see Spider-Man No Way Home at this theater and it was a pretty bad experience. I can't blame the staff, it was definitely the movie goers. There was talking throughout the movie, crying babies and general disruption. When we were leaving, we saw whole buckets of popcorn dumped on the floor. Honest Review: it had literally been years since I visited this theater and I was so pleasantly surprised. It's been totally remodeled inside, is clean, small and the theater seats are very comfortable. They are leather, comfortable, big and cozy and not only recline but are heated!!!! The theater itself doesn't seem too busy or crowded which definitely makes for a nice experience. Oh also I love the online ability to purchase tickets and the scanner to get checked in. Best seats around with awesome seat warmers, that can actually get too hot. Not very crowded, new movie selection, all around great place for a family movie night, concessions are pricey, but tell me a theater where they aren't. I saw Top Gun here and paid about $6 for the ticket, the screen and sound system exceed the standard theater exp in my opinion. The theatre room itself was nice and I liked the heated chairs. Getting the tickets was a hassle. The sign outside said to buy tickets at concessions, and when we went in, no one was at the ticket counter so we got in line for concessions, which was the wrong place, so when we finally got tickets and back in line for concessions, we were past the scheduled start time. The concessions took forever. All the workers were moving at a snails pace. We walked to our seats right as the movie started. If the concessions workers were faster, it would have been a seamless experience, hence the 4 stars. read more

Cinemark has always been my first choice for theatres. Whenever my friends and I want to go out and see a movie, we always went to Cinemark in the North Texas area. After moving to South Texas, I was thrilled to find that a location opened so close to where I live. The leather recliners are very comfortable, the audio of the movie are adjusted perfectly - not too loud and not too soft. Another reason why Cinemark is my top-pick is because I am personally not fond of dine-in theatres - the lights are merely dimmed, which can be distracting for me during a movie. Waiters running around to assist and serve food always created a silhouette that, of course, ruins my immersive experience. The tickets are at a fair price too. It's hard to be disappointed when you choose Cinemark. I've always had great experiences. You can bet I will be coming back to this location frequently. read more

I have visited this theater several times since my first review. I have found it always to be comfortable and clean. (In my first review the rest room was dirty...but it was after the late Sunday night show.) Often they show special presentations that are hard to find in this town. The recliners are comfy with a heated backrest if you so desire. I enjoy this theater. It would be a first pick if I lived in this part of town. read more
