Horrible experience. First time coming here, wife purchased tickets to watch Mortal Kombat II. Got there, told us the type of tickets purchased they no longer do. (RBX) even though it's listed on their website.. Gave us tickets for new showtimes, had to come back 4 hours later to see the movie. Came back, like was not even long for the food/consession stand. Told us food would be 3 minutes, ended up being 15-23 minutes. They didn't have hot dogs. Food was mid-par $55 for 2 people. (No drinks) Looked like a bunch of teenagers working the stand all out of dress code. * SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND TIME Go to another location. read more

It's been a while since I have been to the movies. However my son wanted to go watch Demon Slayer Infinity castle with his friend. I was volunteered by my husband so off we went. The movie was great, the theater was relatively filled with anime fans. The second time, my son and I, went to watch Tron. The theater was emptying; my son and I were excited to be the only ones. We ordered drinks and popcorn, the drinks smelled of chlorine and my son threw up. The manager allowed us to get Gatorade instead. The cup of Pepsi cost $9 with taxes, I can't remember the popcorn but it was just as pricey. The selection of what to eat included way too much sugars- candies and drinks, a few healthier options would be good. The theaters are generally clean and the seats comfy. It's clear that some of the theaters have been recently re-upholstered and it's great that they are keeping up with that upkeep (some other theaters aren't and are letting the seats shed all their little fake leather pieces onto you). read more

This Regal is comfortable and pretty clean. They have one of the coolest snack sections - they have Indian snacks and food! I ordered the masala popcorn. It was delicious in flavor but not warm because they hold it in a separate bin. It was the first time I have seen or tried it at a Regal. They also had some interesting choices! The sound was clear and crisp. The seats are comfortable and can recline a bit. The little moveable table was handy. The prices are the same as everyone else. Customer service was decent. If you are in the area and need to kill some time or be entertained, this is worth a stop. read more

Terrible customer service. I am in my 50s and a kid at the bar refuses to serve beer without my ID. What the hell! They hire the lost incompetent people and the seats are terrible as well. Overall head to the nicer and friendlier AMC brand. They don't ID old people for beer. They are run by brains and not by programmed robots. read more

The staff are usually friendly The parking lot is huge. You might have to walk a bit but there is always parking. There are a few food options outside of the theater. I find this theater to be very family friendly and always choose to go here with my family. The seats are comfortable. Popcorn and drinks are a bit pricey but comparable to other places. Great theater located in a prime spot in Johns Creek. Huge theater with several screens and a big parking lot. It was clean and the overall experience was good. Although it was a bit crowded, food service was very fast. The theater was very clean and the ticket-buying experience to watching the movie went smooth with no hassles. Seats were too comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Amaran movie here. I noticed there were several other Indian movies showing at the same time, which is not so prevalent in Alpharetta so I'll be certainly visiting again. read more

Good: it's nearby. Bad: seats don't recline all the way and were really stiff and plastic to the touch. $20 for a ticket to a place that doesn't want to turn on the a/c? The air was so warm and stagnant in there. I asked the manager to turn the temp down, and he said he did to 68 degrees, which means I should have been freezing in there. It felt like 80+ in there all throughout the movie. Not sure I need to be in a closed space with no air circulation. So I guess I'll have to take a pass on this location. read more

$19 per ticket for the RPX matinee during the week was a bit much for what you get. Add a large popcorn and drink and the total was just over $62. It's not that special to justify these prices. Ouch! The RPX vibrating seats were ok but not that special. I would not go out of my way again for them. At least now I know. Even though this was the first movie of the day at 12:10 the popcorn was not fresh and had obviously been sitting a while. The refill was much better. I guess it's all about the timing. What really turned me off was the guy at the concessions who was running his hands through his giant afro/long curly hair as we approached and then got our popcorn. At least wear gloves or wash your hands before getting customers their food. It was extremely unappetizing to see and it happened again when I got a popcorn refill. Some food handler training is definitely required. Or more supervision at the least if the employees don't care. I'm sure the county health inspector would not be pleased with this if informed. The theater sound was great and restrooms clean as they should be. It's just too expensive and the health code violations were very disappointing. read more

Went in for the late shoe of BLACK PHONE 2 last week. Walked in and got my ticket, drink and popcorn. Proceeded to the theater and it was THE MOST DISGUSTING THING I have ever seen. Popcorn and drinks strewn around everywhere. Wrappers from fast food restaurants. Empty Beer bottles and Vodka Seltzers. Took my seat and popcorn had something gooey in it. First handful. Sat it down. Watched approximately 25 minutes and got up to leave. I was furious. $40+ dollars and this crap. At this point I just wanted ticket money back. I proceeded to ask for a manager at the front. Marquis came out and said "what's the problem?!" With sassy attitude. I requested refund. He said without a ticket I could only get a pass for another movie. I guess my "stub" was amongst the garbage back in the theater. Marquis was not nice. Won't ever return here. Will post to neighbors I live in neighborhood. Will contact VP and President of Company. This theater should be closed. Or make it Bollywood only. I wonder if the Blue and Pink haired staffers know it's evident they DGAF to the customers. read more

It was nice to be able to experience this Regal location before it shut down temporarily in October of this year. Can't wait til COVID is over and done with, so we can go back out and enjoy things fully like we all used to. My fiancé and I never really were the going out type to begin with, but we always made time for a movie night once a month at the theater and at least one dinner out monthly. We've done a lot of take-out in our time, even before COVID, as we like to just chill at home in front of the TV with our food and wear whatever lol, but we're missing our usual movie dates. In October, right before all Regals and most theaters shut their doors, my fiancé and I booked a viewing of Unhinged here. We hadn't seen a movie in theaters since March before the statewide lockdown, and with news of the indefinite closures we wanted to support them one more time. It was our first time at this location, and we agreed that if at any point we felt uncomfortable about any potential exposure or COVID safety issues, we'd leave immediately or not even enter the building. This turned out to be no problem as we were the only customers in the entire theater! I have never had that experience before, but in a way, it was kind of nice to not have to wait in line for popcorn. One couple came in later, but we had the entire lobby to distance, so once again no issue. There was only one worker there that night and we also booked online, so the risk was little to none for sure. We decided to go ahead with our movie and thankfully didn't catch anything afterward. This Regal, unlike the one in Dacula, has the updated recliner seats. The place was also immaculate, no doubt due to enhanced cleaning procedures. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. I'm hoping we can come back when COVID is over and done with, so we can enjoy more movies here and maybe try their Frozen Spirits machine and bar next time (see my pics). read more

Went to see No Time To Die last night. Our party of 4 was basically 50% of the attendees, and it was sad to see. The service we experienced was great. Our party enjoyed drinks pre-movie and during from the bar. We had excellent service there, friendly and timely. I don't usually drink, so I saw my friends get whatever they needed and enjoy their time. The concessions team helped us get fresh popcorn and beverages for the long movie. It was quick, and I appreciated their efforts and willingness to get us fresh popcorn. The movie experience is unmatched. The seats are smaller, and they do not recline as much- but understanding what needs to happen for movie theaters to survive...this is a willing concession I am able to make on my end. Set back in a large shopping area, there is plenty of parking. The movie was lengthy for one in this series, but it was a spectacular end of the Daniel Craig era as James Bond. One that is memorable and will not be forgotten. Worth the money and the time. Support our movie theaters- the sound, sights, and experience is not to be missed! read more

I was wary of going to see a movie here since I'd read a terrible recent review, but I was pleased to find the theatre as clean, comfortable, and well maintained as any we have ever visited. The two employees we spoke with were pleasant and efficient and on task. The rest rooms in particular were very clean and well equipped. We will be back soon. We didn't try the popcorn. read more

I remember back in the day Regal Medlock was the hot spot whenever a new movie was released. With the development of newer, dine-in theaters this Regal has become less popular but it's still a great option to watch a great movie. Often times, they show movies here that are not showing at other newer theaters, which is a plus. The concessions are always served fresh and hot. read more

This place is alright. I came here to see Endgame with RPX. I bought my tickets ahead of time so it was a breeze to just get in. I have to say though, this Regal is a little bit more on the weathered side. I see that they had a lot of improvements, but still a bit weathered. I've been to old theaters that have refreshed and I have to say those theaters were awesome. I wished that Regal had some heated seats, because I've only been to one theater that had them and it was pretty awesome. This place had the recliner seats, and you have to do it especially for Endgame. Anyways, this Regal isn't bad. I just wished there is another Regal that's closer. (I have to get those points!) Don't expect the top of the line and pristine everything, but at the same time don't think that you're sitting in bench seats. This theater is filthy. The a/c in theater 14 was set to the lower 60s. We were freezing!! I asked the teenager to ask the manager turn it up, but it never happened. My son was discriminated for being autistic. There are no special sessions for individuals with sensory needs. Even though the manager showed some compassion there is no advocacy. The bad characters got away with their way and were telling lies that we didn't tell them my child was autistic. It was the first thing I said to them, and in the discussion my napkin flew from my hand and they said I was throwing things at them. My little one kept wanting to go back to the room to watch the movie and he was not making noises (he would hum now and then but they were not disrupting anything and the manager even witnessed that) but we were made not welcome there. read more

This was our favorite theater, the prices were on the high side but you recieved great service and the experience was worth it. The prices are still the same but the service, cleanliness and experience is awful. For a family of five we paid $80 for tickets and $58 for 2 hot dogs, a small cheese pizza, three medium drinks and a medium popcorn. The hot dog buns were stale, the dogs were luke warm and over severely overcooked. The cheese pizza was still cold in the center. Out of our 5 seats, one of them smelled HORRIBLE. The movie was fine, sound was clear, everything functioned as it should. As. We left we noticed the hall way into the loby was littered with popcorn, candy wrappers and other garbage while workers hung out in a group off in a corner. All workers seemed to be highschool, maybe college age and noone appeared to be over 20. No management in sight. I have no reason to come back and don't plan to unless they make a major change for the better. read more

The customer service is excellent. Twice, when we tried to use Movie Pass, our card was 'declined'. Both times, customer service allowed us in without having movie pass authorize the 2nd ticket. We are impressed and feeling loyal. 2nd, the seats are very comfortable. You can recline and put your feet up. As good as being at home. Now for the ding: the interior was messy and cluttered. I have a picture to post to show the garbage piled up on the floor next to the over-flowing garbage can. We will go back, just maybe not on a busy weekend. read more

My family and I have been going here for 22 years, mainly because it's right near my parent's house, but it won't be my first choice anymore. Read on NextDoor that they had a roof leak on 1/4/20 where a wet ceiling tile hit someone in the theater. Response from theater was it was happening in "multiple auditoriums" and "it will be fixed next week." She also said the overhead lights were flickering. Well I went to see 1917 in theater 1 last Monday and the projector cut out 2/3 of the way through the movie for about 10 minutes. Missed about a minute of film. Then it cut out AGAIN for another 5 minutes, during the epic scene you see on the commercials, where I missed another minute or two of film. People asked for refunds and management wasn't giving comps during the first instance, so I didn't even ask the second time. Better to let you all know so they will actually fix the problems. Also I noticed the sound in theater 1 was really muddy during the commercials at the beginning. While I'm a regular here, I wanted to share feedback about how a theater responds to an issue when it happens. This weekend there was a major disruption in the theater where folks squatted in seats they were not assigned to sit in. The situation turned ugly, and the manager was able to resolve a very messy situation professionally. It was impressive. They also took care of guests at the end of the movie for having to endure a disruption that lasted a good 1/4 of the movie. Well done! One request would be to up the sound as it was a tad faint (a non-action movie) and to add a runner or two for the concession stand to keep lines down (and spend pp up!). read more

WOW, THINGS HAVE REALLY CHANGED IN THE PAST TEN YEARS! Approximately ten years ago, I decided that I was done with movie theaters and had not planned on returning anytime soon. It was really about my husband and daughter poking me when I fell asleep and not having control over my own personal comfort, (temperature and volume). Don't constantly ask me to go to a movie if you know that I consistently do something that annoys you. Knuckleheads! So, they come up with the bright idea to force Mom to attend a movie theater that has reclining seats. Not so bright! They forced me because the last movie we saw as a family was "The Incredibles" and now that the sequel was out, I HAD to go. Cute movie, action packed but I still dosed! All of that aside, I absolutely loved my return to this particular theater. This was our family theater and the only one I have ever attended in Georgia because I am that loyal. Obviously, things have changed in the past ten years. I was perfectly happy with this theater before the changes so now it is simply icing on the cake. It is bright and open with a full bar off to the right of the entrance. According to my family, the concessions are really nice with traditional and elevated items. Personally, I prefer to eat prior to attending the movies because I simply don't do movie snacks. If you choose to get the movie snacks, know that you There are an endless number of viewing areas and the bathrooms are all conveniently located. The seating is very nice because there is not a bad seat in the house unless you are sitting extremely close. If you prefer, you may reserve your seats in advance. We sat very high up and it was perfect because the rooms are more intimate but very comfortable with plenty of space. Yes, people can actually get past you even while you are in a reclining position. I love this theater and it is perfect for families. Actually, I recommend it for all movie goers. Happy viewing! read more

Never had an issue with this movie theatre before but we are here for captain america 2 and the trailers have been cutting out constantly. The screens went black, then went to a windows screen, then black again. We didn't even get to see all the trailers! Bad visit. I'll be back to try again another time. read more

Horrible service, two people working in the whole theatre that were abrasive and rude. They were not offering the food items that they were advertising. No one even check our tickets, we could have walked in without paying. Trash everywhere on the concessions counter, in the halls. Our theatre was clearly not cleaned between showings. Our assigned seat had popcorn and trash (see photos). Just go to the Regal Cinemas at Avalon for a decent experience. Ridiculous to pay $15 a ticket for this. read more
