Good location with a few dining options nearby. Premium seats have a footrest and will recline. Popcorn and drinks come with free refills. Theaters and bathrooms were clean. The only issue we had was that if you buy tickets online you have to take your QR to the ticket stand to get physical tickets printed. The catch here is that the ticket counter also doubles as concessions. There was only one line open when we visited and the queue was about 7 people deep. It would have been nice to have an "express" line open for those who just needed tickets. Otherwise, no complaints. read more

My friends and I came here to watch something we were looking forward to. It was all of our first time here so he didn't know what the process was when we walked in. There weren't any obvious people standing with the machine to scan our tickets so we just walked into the theaters. When coming back out to order Snacks and drinks, that's when we found out that's where you're supposed to scan your ticket. Chairs were decently comfortable, but did not recline as far back as I would have wished. Overall, not the cleanest movie theater and also not the best laid out. I'm not someone who usually leaves reviews, but my experience here was bad enough that I felt obligated to say something. The theater itself wasn't even the main issue--it was one employee who wore a white shirt behind the food area who made everything a disaster. whatsoever. He was constantly on his phone, or sitting down on some bucket while eating, and made no effort to do his job, it was extremely unprofessional. On top of that, the popcorn was completely burnt, to the point where the entire theater smelled like smoke and felt like the ac was blocked out from the heat inside this cinema. First time going to this location. It's very nice and clean inside, and everyone is super friendly and helpful. The tickets are only $6, and the popcorn is so good. Not to mention you can get unlimited popcorn and drinks refills for free. The seats are also very comfy. One issue about this location, as it has been at other ones, is the sound. For some reason the sound is so bad at NCG. Its low, and sounds like they have masks on and it kinda ruins the whole movie experience. Other than that, this is a great theater. Haven't been to the theater in several years and recently went and was beyond impressed. The discount for being over 55 was a pleasant surprise, the additional food/beverage items and ability to create your own popcorn seasoning was great. Yet the best part of all was the unbelievably comfortable seats, the main reason why I haven't been to a movie in forever. Due to a neuro disease that causes unbearable pain, it's hard to sit anywhere for long. The VIP seats (worth the $2) were extremely comfortable, electric reclined, with foot rest and heat! Thanks to all of these creature comforts, not only do I highly recommend NCG Cinemas, I'm so happy I can go to movies again. We've visited this movie theater several times over the past couple of years, but I think we're done with it now. There is always trash everywhere, bathrooms are not kept clean or even in good working order, and it feels like the staff just don't care to respond to any issues. This time, locks on the bathroom doors were broken, the toilet paper holder would not stay closed and flipped open blocking the cubicle, and there were overflowing trash cans and paper all over the floor. Sure the prices are super cheap, but it's just not worth it for the bad experience each time. read more

I guess COVICOVID killed the candy dispensers previously available, and somehow NCG eliminated the great large tan seats seen in a lot of the photos linked to this business. I usually like this theater because it's pretty low key in a shopping plaza but I came here on $4 movie day and their system was down. So first they couldn't take card payments at the concession, only cash. I go back with cash and was then told the system wouldn't let them open the resister at all. I sat through a 2 hour movie with nothing to drink or eat. My suggestion is not to go here at any peak or popular times to avoid the possibility of a system crash. read more

Movie theaters haven't changed, really at all, since the 1920's; they show current movies, and sell snacks. Why then is it usually $100 to take a family of four? I don't care about 3D, IMAX, TotalFBS...I didn't make you spend a trillion dollars on the rights to Marvel, and I don't care about the current, too skinny starlet's million dollar contract. Gimme salty popcorn and soda until I burst. Gimme new movies and a (mostly) clean space, at higher volume than I can do at home. This place is great. Took my daughter and her three friends, and my wife to see Wicked (better than Broadway BTW, despite Ariana, who isn't my fave)...total $40! One GIANT refillable popcorn and a couple drinks and we were back in the golden age. AMC blames everyone but themselves for the stupid high prices. Go here and actually enjoy your time. I gotta say that if you can't choose your chair when you buy a ticket nowadays is a big turnoff. I mean it's 2019! I shouldn't have to be standing in line 30 minutes before a movie just to get some decent seats!. But on the other hand the seats are VERY confortable (they recline!) and the tickets are very cheap. Perfect rainy Saturday in town. Theatre was clean and practically empty. Food was on par with what you would expect for movie theatre options, quality and price. The seats recline and have a swivel for tray. Staff was very nice. Our movie started about 10 mins late and the staff gave us complimentary tickets for VIP seating. Walking in, i did like how the place had a really nice candy/drink section.. I will say that the theatre walls are a bit thin, there were times I could hear what was playing in the adjacent theatre, but overall I had a good time. Although the theaters themselves are fantastic - those VIP recliner seats and free refills are a hit - there are a couple of frustrations that dampen the experience. One thing that stands out is the absence of free water cups, which is a bit inconvenient. If you do want to drink water you have to pay for a soft drink cup. I've never experience this anywhere else. Also, they're pretty serious about checking bags for snacks, even for small items. It'd be amazing if they could find a balance. Allowing free access to water would be a game-changer. And while it's fair to regulate big outside meals, the strictness around small candy items feels a tad excessive. It's just a thought, but being a bit more relaxed might make the whole experience even better. read more

I'm very impressed by the cost effectiveness of this Theater. My girlfriend had mentioned she came here awhile back with her daughter, but I typically only like booking at the high-priced recliner theaters now. I ended up moving close to this area, and decided to try it out with my son for a show. This Theater sits in the large shopping center right before you hit Holcomb Bridge Rd off Peachtree Parkway. It is literally right beside the Buffalo Wild Wings (which is a great alcohol stop prior to going in). I prepaid for my tickets, and printed them up to bring with me. I didn't really like that I had to wait in line in order for me to have them scanned, and then actual tickets issued but that was my only complaint (FYI - get there a little early if you did buy your tickets online). The cost for my son and I was super cheap (around $14). That went over well! They also have the option to buy unlimited drinks, candy and slushies. Tell me WHERE that even exists anywhere else. The unlimited candy option is around $5, and they have everything from whoppers to raisonets to gummies to reese's pieces to swedish fish to peanut M&M's to ... well, you get the point. They also have some great slushie flavors (6 to chose from). The seating is certainly more upscale too, compared to your normal stadium seating theaters. Each seat is very cushioned and reclines back. It's not the same comfy recline as other theaters where you pay more, but it's great! There isn't a reserved seat system here, so keep that in mind. Cinebistro, Studio Movie Grill and the other dine-in & eat options are pretty much off the table for me. The food is never great, and I never have great service. So we stick to AMC or Regal where recliners are an option. This has now been added to my list for the movies where we want to take the kids and be able to save money PLUS get the kids everything they want with the movie experience. Yes, 10 Stars for how perfect it is for families. I'd say maybe 3 stars for Date Nights, just due to the fact they don't sell alcohol and the middle arm rest doesn't come up so you can snuggle with your significant other. Post COVID: the movie theater is open but assigned seating is included in ticket purchase, WOULD MAKE SENSE IF THE SEATS WERE SOCIAL DISTANCED HOWEVER, ROWS OF PEOPLE ARE JAM PACKED TOGETHER. NCG Cinemas, a small nationwide chain of movie theaters, opened its Peachtree Corners (Norcross) location in November 2015. At the time of writing this review, there are five NCG locations in metro Atlanta, all in the 'burbs. NCG stands for Neighborhood Cinema Group. This location is in a big shopping center with IHOP, Chick-fil-A, Jimmy John's, and Mellow Mushroom. The exterior of the shopping center was undergoing renovations during our visit, but construction will probably be completed by the time you read this. The theater isn't very big -- only eight screens -- and the auditoriums look relatively small. They do not have stadium seating, but the rows of seats are elevated enough so the folks in front of you don't block your view. The best thing about NCG is it's a great value. Individual ticket prices as of July 2016: * Matinee (daily before 6pm) - $6 * Adults - $8 * Students, Seniors, and Children - $6 * Tuesday Discounted Tickets (all day) - $5 with $2 concessions These prices blow AMC and Regal out of the water. You can buy tickets online at www.ncgmovies.com/peachtree-corners. There's a $1-2 surcharge when purchasing tickets online. I recommend purchasing tickets online for popular and new release movies. Since there are less screens and the auditoriums are small, there is a greater chance a movie will sell out here compared to one of the bigger theaters. Our Saturday night showing of The Secret Life of Pets sold out. Luckily, I purchased tickets online the day before. When you purchase tickets online, you have to print out a voucher (the old-fashioned way) and bring it with you to the theater to redeem your actual movie tickets. So, you still have to stand in line with regular ticket purchasers even though you purchased tickets in advance. That's annoying. Another (unprecedented?) thing about NCG is you get free refills on any size soda, popcorn, and candy. Wow! They have Coke Freestyle machines for all your soda needs. Our movie was in Auditorium 6. All of the seats were large, cushy, imitation leather recliners, each with a cup holder. A children's party reserved about a couple rows towards the back. We sat on the last non-handicap row on the far left. I did not like the layout because there was no in-and-out access on the left-hand side of the block of seats. I sat in the left-most seat and it was against a wall. If I had to get up and leave the auditorium during the movie, I would've had to scoot past the entire row. I can only surmise this design (flaw) is a result of space limitations. They were trying to pack in as many seats as possible. Since the movie was new and sold-out, there was an employee at the door to the auditorium checking tickets. This was in addition to the standard employee who checks tickets for all auditoriums. The theater (auditorium, lobby, concessions, restroom) was clean and in fine condition. Overall, NCG is a nice little theater that gives you good bang for the buck. read more

Went here with the bf for a Fri night date. Tickets were surprisingly cheap: $8 for a 8 PM showing. Not only that, the refills were unlimited. Yes, from popcorn, candy, to drinks. The chairs were the luxury leather imitations so they were comfy. Since these chairs were faux leather and not the real stuff, the foot rest was a tad shaky and wasn't at all flexible. A few of the chair's foot rests were broken. lol. And the arrangement of the seats were odd. The seats should have been tiered to accommodate the shorter audience members. The bf and I tried sitting in the middle front, and I wasn't able to fully see the bottom of the screen. Geez. Anywaysss... The sound and quality of the movie was pretty good. The cleanliness of the theater was good too. Parking was plentiful as this complex was pretty large. read more

This is one of the few NCGs that still has the cups of candy you can buy and then choose what you want to put in the cup and disoemse it yourself. With refills! Other locations have done away with it. Matinee prices $7 Parking may be a challenge as it's in a strip mall type plaza. Buffalo Wild Wings is one side of it and Aldi on the other. There's a few other restaurants, and in the outlot a ChicFil-A, an IHOP, and a Burger Fi. Great time as always but they need to do some maintenance on the recliners. I can't believe the lack of customer service!! Wanted to buy bottled water for $4.95 but they were out. Soda cups are $6.50 so I asked them if i can buy a soda cup for the price of bottled water. Answer was no. Asked if I could go next door to buy a water in Aldi and the answer was no. They told me I can drink water from the fountain by the bathrooms. Are you kidding me?? My granddaughter and I left a movie about 15 minutes in because she was frightened by the animated characters. The lady who sold us the tickets saw us and asked if everything was okay. When she heard that my granddaughter was scared she gave us 2 tickets for any other movie for a year. This was totally unexpected and so kind. Holt his particular location is pretty busy but if you arrive 30-40 minutes before your movie, you should be good to go and first in line to get into your theater. Yes people for the popular movies there is a line to get in. The seats in the theater recline and for the most part they are pretty clean. I have seen people taking blankets and pillows in the theater with them... I am not sure what that is all about but to eat their own. I was a bit thrown a k when the lady next to my kid took her shoes off and watched the movie with her bare feet up on the recliner... that was distracting. read more

Possibly the ONLY movie theater I will go to nowadays because you just can't beat their prices! Tickets are typically $8 but drops down to $6 if you have a valid student or military ID. Snack options include: *Popcorn--An employee will fill up your container with popcorn and off to the side is the butter dispenser as well as a few powder topping options. I love the garlic parmesan! *Drinks--They have a few soda machines as well as some Icee/slushee options *Candy--There are over 10 different options, all of which are self-dispensed so feel free to mix them up! All 3 of these snack options are available in regular size ($5 each) or junior size ($4 each) with free refills on the day of purchase. Prices drop by a dollar or so if you purchase more than 1 item. They now also have nachos, pretzel hotdogs, and an assortment of pretzels all for $4 each. The best part about this place is their leather recliner seats! NCG is smaller than your average cinema, however, they do have a decent amount of theaters here. That being said, if you're planning to see a highly anticipated movie on its release date or a few days after you may want to purchase tickets ahead of time or come early as they tend to sell out quick. The only complaint I have about this place is that the entrance alley tends to be littered with trash as the trashcan always appear to be full. A place full of kids! From workers to customers. I was reminded why i wrote this theater off. Can't even enjoy the movie with kids playing and walking nonstop through the movie. Walking from different areas playing with their friends in movie! I literally had to tell them to chill out. Phones out with flash on and answering calls during movie. Asked popcorn guy to allow me to layer popcorn and he filled bucket up with popcorn. Had to ask him to dump some. A band experience and this was my first time back from years ago. No more! This cinema has been a great addition to our area! Tickets are more affordable than at other locations, and I am a huge fan of the unlimited concessions. All you can eat sour patch kids? Sign me up! (Even if I regret it later!) We have seen several movies at this location, and the experience has always been a win for our family. Seats are large and comfortable. In our experience, the theaters have been clean. The employees are welcoming and friendly. We have always visited on the early side, and we have never had to deal with large crowds.
