I should've known better because when I previously visited this location, I had issues as well but I was in a hurry and I know that they take walk-ins. I rarely treat myself to anything fancy, but I'm going to a wedding and on vacation so I wanted to get my nails done. I tried to come up with something that would be low maintenance. Just a basic gel French manicure with gold tips. I thought it would be fun to add a sticker accent to my middle finger so I brought some stickers that I purchased from Amazon. The nail technician was very sloppy and rushing and did not even push the sticker down, so after the gel polish had set, it was peeling up, so I asked him to redo it, and I asked him to please make sure that he pressed it down hard enough this time so that it wouldn't peel up, he was trying to blame the fact that my fingers are small as to why the sticker wasn't staying put, but the truth was he was rushing, and it seemed like I was inconveniencing him for being there. The reason I bought brought the stickers was because anytime I go to a nail salon that has easy walk-in access, they seem to have a huge problem with doing any sort of nail design or art, so I thought a sticker would be easy, but apparently I was wrong. The minute I got home, the sticker had peeled up through the gel. Now I have a messed up nail. I also didn't really see them taking any fresh items out of an auto clave so I'm a little scared that maybe they're not cleaning their utensils correctly either and none of the techs were wearing gloves. Regarding Regal Nails inside Walmart Off Topsey 3770 US Hwy 395 S. #1648 09/25/24 I JUST WALKED OUT of Regal Nail Salon due to the employee Cindy was extremely unprofessional in her services today - I asked her if we could do one more coat on the lighter colors bcz we could still see the streaks and didn't look full coverage She asked WHY? I have been going to this nail 4 years so I text my nail tech, let her know. I need to fill and so she text me back a day at time while I showed app at that time on that date and after 20 minutes, she still hadn't shown up so another tech decided to start filing my nails and prepping them for a fill while after minutes, she still hadn't shown up. We were in town for a wedding, the bride and bridesmaids were getting gel nails we made an apt. We were on a tight schedule They took 3 hours to complete all of our mani pedis. Customers kept coming in and the staff even though were full they kept accepting customers and putting us on hold. The staff was very rude and not focused on our nails. Very sloppy and not worth the money. Okay, I was skeptical about going here in the first place but only went because a friend really wanted to get her nails done and we were in a pinch. At first it wasn't too bad, Cindy was very nice and gentle with my nails, however, they look like a kid filed and painted my nails. There's polish all over fingers and spots on the nail that weren't cover thoroughly. I asked for an almond nail shape and even showed a picture. My nails are all different. The "massage" that came with my manicure was basically rubbing my arms and hands enough to work in a small pump of Jergens lotion. I won't be back, I wish I could get my money back. I don't even want to go back and give them a chance to fix them, I'll just go elsewhere to get them fixed. I always get my pedicures done here! They do amazing, it doesn't matter who you see. The polish is never on my skin it's always clean cut. They do a great job at not cutting my toe nails too short. The owner was very friendly and kept conversation. You can tell they have a ton of regulars which is always a nice thing. This nail establishment has always done subpar work. Unfortunately, I was forced to go here because the good place in the same parking lot shut down. I came in yesterday (August 16, 2019) and had a simple gel manicure done. The lady who i had was older and had a longer face. I didn't catch her name but she has the middle work space in the front row. Avoid her. She only did the tops of my nails and also somehow got gel on the pads of my fingers. Let me tell you, drying gel polish on the skins is painful. She also didn't get the sides of my nails. It looked like a toddler did it but I'm sure a toddler could've done better. I asked her to fix them and she said okay, but then only did one side on one hand. At that point I was out of time and had to be on my way. I returned today (August 17, 2019) to have them fixed. The manager said I would receive a refund and the nails repaired. I waited 20 minutes and got my money back to only be kicked out by the same woman who did a bad job on my nails. She refused to fix them. As I'm sure you all know, getting your nails done is a luxury that should make us happy and for us to enjoy. I can thoroughly say I am livid. Not to mention the last time I was here I had my eyebrows waxed. They did not use a fresh applicator stick from the last person and I ended up with spots that scarred for months! The place is clean inside but very rushed. I went in for a set of acrylics which cost 40$ WITH NO MODIFICATIONS. Just straight acrylics with black polish. They didn't allow me to chose my nail shape because that cost 5$ more (i don't get my nails done often so i don't know if that is normal) Let's start off with the quality. There is a large gap between the acrylic and my cuticles. all nails are pointing in different directions. They aren't cut straight nor shaved down properly. Under the nails are the worst part, they BARELY cleaned under my nails part of the acrylic product is hanging under the nail. I walked away with dusty, crusty, crooked nails and a waste of 40$. I'm honestly surprised by some of the reviews for this place, because it's honestly the only place I would go in Carson. They have done my acrylics for years, and have even painted my daughter's nails. I've gotten pedicures, manicures, gel tips, funky designs, and the like here. They recently renewed their design, got nicer chairs, cleaned the place up a bit, and made it a bit more friendly. I love the way that it is now. Plus, I think that the staff is extremely friendly, albeit hard to understand at times. The prices aren't too ridiculous, and are about average for a good nail salon. Here's the reasons that I absolutely love this place. For one, they are willing to do my weirdo things when I want them. I mean mesh net designs, lines, funky glitter colors, and even hand done designs when I want them. I can get my nails done here, and not have to get them redone for about 3 weeks when the norm is about 2 weeks. I've also gotten my eyebrows done here, and they listen to how you want them done. Any of the staff are amazing at eyebrows, and pedicures. I've gotten little ghosts done, pumpkins, Christmas trees...and various other things. The only reason why I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 is there is one person there I've had issues with in the past. But I only go to Cindy, or the woman next to her now and they are absolutely fantastic. This place honestly feels like another home, and is a wonderful way to relax when you need it. You get what you pay for. They left me soaking in nail polish remover for 20 min. Then I had someone finish me up. I had to keep reminding them to press the button for the gel drying. It was a gel manicure. My other person trimmed around the cuticles did the fill and a 5 min massage for only 10$ more which is so worth it. I have two bad toe nails, my two large toes, due to a botched hangnail surgery and a history of toe fungus. So, I was grateful to find a manicurist who would clip out the beginnings of a hangnail. Over the last six months, I had had my nails done, all natural no acrylics, 4 times. Then I was encouraged to get gel nails to return my big toe nails to normal. I agreed, and the first time they came out nicely and lasted for two more visits. When I returned a few weeks ago, my lady was not there, and the person who redid them did an awful job. The owner oversaw the work and did nothing to improve it. I said there were wavy, uneven, and not detailed, but I was ignored. Even my husband noticed how bad they were. So, today, two weeks later, I decided to have them removed and go back to all natural. My lady was there, and I asked her twice to remove the gel nails. She shook her head yes, but completely ignored me, instead trimming and cleaning them up nicely. She did not redo them, but used an electric nail shaper to fix them. Just as she was about to apply nail polish, I noticed a large black dot under one of the nails. I looked at it closely and realized it was fungus. I asked her if it was, and she said several times that she was not a doctor and I should see a doctor. I told her to remove that gel nail, and she did. I have no feeling in the toe due to the surgery, so a few minutes later when I looked down, I saw she had removed the gel, and then she had literally cut my nail back to a nub and cut out the fungus completely, all without telling me. Now I have no toe nail and nothing for a doctor to look at. I'll treat the area myself and hope it does not return. Obviously this was done to get rid of any evidence should I file a complaint. I decided to not confront the matter, as it was done and I wanted to get out of there. Then, while doing my manicure, no gel or acrylic, (I have a new job and my first day is Monday, so I stayed to get the manicure) she talked and talked in her native language almost without taking a breath. She always does this. She picked up the land-line phone, set it in front of us while filing my nails, made a call to a man on speaker phone, hung up, and then laughed and giggled with all the women for quite some time. I eventually asked who she called in an effort to be a part of the joy, and she said, "No." She kept right on working and never acknowledged me; I think she was upset about the fungus. Then, when it came to lotion time, she left and let another woman finish the job. This new woman chatted with the owner in their language, to which the owner turned to me and in English said she had just assured the woman business would eventually pickup and encouraged her to not quit!!!! To the owner: If you want to be more lucrative in your business, may I suggest: 1. Stop the non-stop chatter in your language. Speak English and engage in English with your customer. 2. You and your ladies need to up your game; do a more professional job. Make sure YOU and your employees fully understand what your customer truly wants, then DO IT! Two women at my work got their nails done by you, the owner, and both said they will never return. I assure you this is true. 3. Have your employees dress more professionally; we don't need to see the breasts and bellies of older women who obviously have not been to the gym in a long time. Really.....hair up and maybe personal clothes but a more uniformed look. 4. During this last visit, as I will never return, two of your ladies were in the back row of desks grooming; one looked like she was plucking grey hairs or lice out of the hair of another woman and sitting in front of them was food and chips. Gross. 5. Stop with the "Baby" and "I love you" crap; it's really annoying. I've heard you specifically talk shit about customers after they leave, in you language of course, where the phrase "I love you" was spoken sarcastically. Good luck; I will never recommend you, but maybe you will consider my suggestions. JUST FYI: I tipped generously, $10 sometimes $12 each visit as I know this is a thankless job at times. Walked in by chance during an out of town trip for a long over due mani-pedi and a lady named Stephanie helped me out. She was the sweetest most gentle lady ever and she really took her time doing my mani pedi and did a meticulous job making sure I was happy. As far as salons go she really pampered me and chatted with me about my life and my day and made me feel so good I want to return again before my trip home just to see her. Let me start by saying all the ladies are very nice and probably very good, but my experience was beyond sub par. I expect a wait when I go somewhere without at appointment, no problem but between my pedicure and my fill with my nails started and hideous, so I couldn't leave, they made me sit and wait an additional 45 minutes without saying a thing. I came in with long pink stiletto shape nails and needed a fill. I asked nail tech to shorten a little and keep stiletto shape. The tech made a mistake and took all the length and shape away and rounded my nails. Then told me I would have to wait for another nail tech to finish my nails. Im sitting here and the girls want to argue with me about the mistake the nail tech made. I was told by Jackie who previously did my nails, that a fill would be $18+$7to trim cuticle total should be $25 and the gals are now telling me they are going to charge me $30 even though the nail tech made mistake.
