This is a fantastic theater but the restrooms need a HUGE remodel. Counters look messed up and one of the toilet seats are broken. The food and service were great but the restrooms makes it a 3 star. read more

Normally this place is great but tonight the electronic ticket kiosks were broken plus the line for normal ticketing was wrapped around nearly out the door. Then in the theater, the seats seemed much closer together than usual. I felt like I was in an airplane....no leg room at all. Park place Regal cinema in Pinellas park is a huge ripoff and their popcorn is old! Don't waste your money there. The manager is condescending and not very good at handling complaints. I am Never going there again! Rip off! Paid double for a movie and complained to the manager. She said it was because it was RPX. I don't know what RPX is but I can tell you it's not worth paying double for. I wanted a refund because the prices on the wall did not say we were paying double! There was no price listed that matched what we paid!! Not impressed with the sound quality and I am a professional musician. If anything it was deafeningly loud in there. Did not realize the price until later because we used a gift card. Manager said that I should have said something that day. On top of it all, The service at the concession stand was horrible! 10 or 15 people behind the counter servicing 10 guests. i.e. It was not busy at all and they were well staffed. Took 20 minutes to get 1 popcorn, 1 soda and 1 beer. They almost gave us 2 beers! Messed up my check and said they had to re-do it but didn't give me a receipt for the "mistake". Over $20 for those items and that's on the "good" receipt. Then I couldn't even eat the popcorn because it tasted old. Called to complain, manager said too bad, you saw the movie and didn't complain on that day! read more

Another fiasco at the Regal 16 in Pinellas Park for the Met Opera Live in HD broadcast today. The simulcast in the theater started after the opera began and the whole first act sounded like a scratched record. This is the second time in a row for me that the broadcast was botched. Considering that so many in attendance are elderly, this is really unfair and a rip-off of a population that deserves better. 3rd-4th time I have attended that was messed up. Never again here., Regal should get out of the business of simulcasting since they can't seem to get it together. read more

I like this movie theatre in Pinellas Park, as they are large and have a variety of movies, including independent films. They also offer live streaming of shows from the Metropolitan Opera, and some other venues. (The other place in Pinellas County that is similar to this theatre is Sundial in downtown St. Pete.) The theaters are large, and in most you don't have to pick a seat when you purchase your ticket. I don't like the "pick a seat" option, as I get a better feel for where I want to sit when I am in the theatre. This large movie theatre is in a mall with Target, Marshalls, and a number of other stores, as well as restaurants such as Chilli's and Chipotle. If you want, you can purchase your ticket in advance and then shop until it's time for your movie. If you don't have their free membership card, get one. The last time I went, I was eligible for a free movie voucher. They also sometimes reward me with free popcorn. There is plenty of parking here. Just be careful driving as it is a busy place with lots of stop signs. read more

Every time I go to Parkside I am reminded why I go to Baywalk instead. It increasingly gets worse. The employees are rude, and not helpful at all. I witnessed customers actually leave the ticket booth because of how bad they were treated. The theaters are nice, and very comfortable, but they kept the lights dimmed during the whole movie. Not only is their customer service very poor, but their prices continue to rise. I will no longer go there to see movies, I refuse to support such a business. I would rather drive a few extra miles downtown for a better experience. read more

Pretty nice place! Naturally it was pouring rain when we arrive and we were running behind so sprinting half a mile through the parking lot wasn't my favourite part of the experience. Nice lay out of the theatre, tons of screens and times to accommodate many people. Popcorn, I love movie popcorn even though it's sooooo over priced but of course I had to get some. The concession lines seemed to be so long but they actually moved along rather quickly and 11$ later me and my bag of popcorn and a small drink were on our way to the movie. Theatre was clean but oddly set up, a lot of the seats only had one entry to the row which made it difficult to meet our friends at our seats as we had to walk in front of a ton of people to get to them. 4 Stars though because who doesn't love the whole big screen movie experience!? read more

This theater has reinvented itself and is now a great place to view films. They have increased their technology for 3D films (RealD 3D - and another premium 3D theater - for more money of course). Plenty of cashiers for the snack bar...a nice game room for kiddies to kill time. Being as this is the second southernmost mainstream theater in Pinellas County after Muvico in Baywalk (downtown St. Pete), there is a wanna-be gangland presence and thug life here at times, but as long as you don't look them in the eye, they leave you be (lol - ludicrous)....standard theater teen presence...but plenty of law enforcement presence, uniformed and plain clothes, make this a safe and enjoyable spot for taking in a movie. read more

Cinébistro in Hyde Park is still my number one place to watch a movie. That being said, there are some nights where a 5 minute drive to Regal outweighs the quality of Cinébistro. There is nothing inherently wrong with Regal, but besides a convenient location I can't say much else. The cost is almost as much as Cinébistro without all of the extra niceties. The screens are decent and the tiered seating is comfortable. The facility is clean and parking is easy enough. The concessions are what you would expect and definitely not anything to get excited over. I would recommend eating at BJ's Brewhouse and then walking over. read more

Parking is always a challenge, even with a huge available lot. Ticket prices and movie availability are not quite what I'd hope for - but there isn't a lot of competition in the St. Pete area for theaters unless you want to try downtown St. Pete and pay for parking. They don't have enough fresh stuff at concession stands. Theaters are usually clean and well supervised to prevent movie-hoppers though. The movies stop quite frequently or experience issues if it is storming. read more

This place is so cheap they can't even install one little bike rack outside the theater. Since I ride my bike everywhere and since St Pete is rapidly becoming a very bike friendly city they are going to lose a lot of business because of this. The guy, the manager I spoke with, tells me to go way down past Target around the corner where I could tie my bike up to Targets bike rack which is out of sight of everything. This guy clearly doesn't ride a bike because he would know nobody's going to put a bike in an area like that for two hours. The theater downtown before they had bike racks used to let me bring my bike inside and they put it in a room. Regal Cinemas at this location in particular has tons and tons of space inside and it was a Monday night so there was virtually nobody at the theater but he wouldn't let me bring my bike in and put it somewhere safe. Get your act together Regal and invest in a bike rack because you're losing a lot of business! read more

Very disappointed!!! My husband and I finally got out to see a movie tonight. I'm currently nursing my 5 month old son so he goes wherever I go. Apparently, NOT to the movies though. Regal Cinema doesn't allow children under 6 years old in Rated R movies. That makes absolutely no sense. I can't bring my breastfeeding baby (who is not walking or talking) but I could bring a 1st grader in there with me. This was on a Tuesday not with an empty theater and still nope. The cinema is beautiful. But 1 Star to management for the quality of persons allowed to stay. 3/12/2019 at an 11:10am showing of Captan Marvel there was a semi full theater and 2 women brought their band of 4-7 screaming brats that through the entire movie ran around the theater while one of the low class women kept chasing after. At three points in the movie they took out their phones and took photos of one child playing on the stairs (they even used flash). Several people had to tell the woman and children to shut the hell up. These kids were from ages 3-9 and these terrible parents brought them to see a PG-13 movie and could not count rip their children. We contacted the supervisor who came by and said something to them once. But alas they were allowed to talk, scream, runaround and ruin our experience. Paid $30 for tickets and got over $50 in snacks ($80) which was spent telling two women to keep their brats under control and management did nothing. Extremely unpleasant experience and its experiences like this why theaters are dying. Next time I'll wait for DVD, the experience is not worth the cash and having to deal with women who obviously have no reason having kids because they are bad mothers and can't control them. I'll go to chuck-e-cheese next time I want this experience. Thank you Regal cinema 16 you have sucked what little joy there was in movies with your crappy low class customers. read more

Perfect theatre! I've came here ever since I was 7 and I've loved it since. The popcorn is great but of course over priced like most theaters, but that's to be expected. The workers are friendly. The place is clean. The arcade is nice, even though I would recommend some new games. I come here about twice a month to see a movie, and I like the target by there as well. For the Metropolitan Opera HD broadcasts, this complex is the closest to home. But I will drive to Sarasota from now on. The manager of this complex has no interest in serving his Met HD customers. On October 18 he had to be asked TWICE to turn on the sound! Is he aware that opera involves sound, or does he think it's a silent movie? The lights are sometimes a problem, too. And the screening room is always wedged between two demolition thriller films, and serious music doesn't mix well with end-of-the-universe sound effects. But I guess everyone under twenty is deaf these days, too bad for them! Some of us still listen instead of begging to be assaulted. Anyway, it's not a good place to watch the Met broadcasts. read more

Between 8:20-8:45 tonight (10/23/15)Very disappointing experience with your business tonight. Bad customer service. My son won on this game... first time he's ever won anything .. game malfunctioned and didn't disperse the prize...and what did REGAL PARK PLACE do? Made us wait 15 minutes after asking 3x to have someone check on it. WHAT DID THEY OFFER? NOTHING. The "manager" said they don't own those machines. They don't have keys and they aren't responsible for fixing or offering anything to customers fur machine malfunctions or stealing tokens. He's 6 yrs old, they could've offered him an Icee and he'd have been happy. Crappy. As easy as it is to apologize and offer anything you can, and it was like that wouldn't have occurred to them in a thousand years. It doesn't matter that these games aren't your primary business, it's the principal of doing the right thing by a customer / and yes - we did also spend money on movie tickets and concessions. This definitely didn't show that you appreciate our patronage. Hope this saves other 6 yr olds (or any other trusting innocent kid) from the disappointment of being ripped off of a cheap game machine prize (which is nothing to an adult, but a big deal to a kid who was excited to "WIN" something on his own for the first time. read more

I came back here to see Star Wars since I has already purchased tickets before seeing Thor. The LED runner lights are worse than someone being on the phone the entire movie. I'm mad at myself for not bringing tape to put over the lights so we could enjoy the movie. Hands down worse movie theater in Tampa Bay area. I remember when i used to like this theater i don't know why they had to change it i guess after going to oldsmar AMC you can see the big differece. for one they don't make me feel like a thug they are checking purses and everything you carry once you go in seriously? they want to make sure you will buy from them their expensive crap! and the way the theaters and movies are staged is so you can only see one movie. AMC is totally ok with you roaming as you please that's a good movie theater my favorite and never will go again to the regal one anymore. read more

It's a pretty good theater I don't know what Shane the previous reviewer was talking about with the homeless people and smokers I have never seen that here. The prices are expensive 8 for a matinee and 10 for an evening show and don't get me started on the concession prices. But it's pretty much like that everywhere. They have all the newest projection technology and I haven't noticed a lot of sound bleeding through from adjacent theaters. Their chairs are comfy and they have ample handicap seating. The thing I like best about this theater though it there's a lot of stuff around it. There's a cold stone creamery right next door and BJ's Brew Pub across the parking lot along with a Panera, a Chipotle and a few other places. It's the perfect place to go and Park once and just walk from dinner to your movie. TONES of parking, you might not be able to park close but you'll have no trouble parking. read more

Nice theater, but won't be back. Took my daughter to see Aquaman Jan 15th. Place was clean, staff was friendly, but the entire movie was LOUD. Maybe it was where we were sitting (all the way in the back in stadium seating) or maybe that's just audience preference these days, but even during quieter scenes (few & far between in an action movie) the volume was uncomfortable -- and when there was a loud crash or battle (frequently, in this case) it was downright painful. My entire family left with headaches and ears ringing. Intended to speak with a manager, but by the time we got out my wife and daughter just wanted to get in the car and get home to some aspirin. Have looked everywhere and there is no way to call a local number and discuss it with them. Why is this? I can get your competitor's theater on the phone right away locally and find out about how crowded a show is or other details. read more
