Concessions are your typical concession prices, spirits are pricey, but it makes for a great experience. They have reclining chairs, with swivel tables to put your drinks, or snacks on, with PLENTY of space. We checked in online so there really isn't much interaction with staff, besides getting your ticket printed, concessions, then ticket verification. Movie theater is clean, well ventilated and sound and the lighting is nice and it isn't crowed for a 8:20pm show on a Sunday. All-In-All I prefer the movie theater by my home, but if I have to venture out for a particular movie, I will definitely come back here.

Everyone we met from the moment we walked in were friendly and welcoming. They told us about upcoming events and their new monthly movie pass program, which they're starting in October 2025. Even the popcorn was perfect -- easily the freshest and most flavorful movie popcorn we've had in a long time! As for the movie experience itself, it was the perfect blend of modern sound and projection with a classic art deco styled cinema theater. The seats are old school, but they're comfortable and clean, and it all feels brand new. It's a smaller screen, but it's just the right size for the space and the feel they're clearly going for. As a cinephile and a working film critic, seeing a historic neighborhood theater like this brought back to life for a community to enjoy gives me hope for the future of people still wanting to go out to the movies. I'm excited for the future of the Beach Theatre and I'm eager to see more movies and events in the space soon!

Guess I came at the wrong time because it appeared to be a shift change. Thankfully, an employee noticed and took care of me as quickly as possible apologizing for my lengthy wait. I've been coming to Jobsite productions for years with my good friends and I'm so impressed by the…read moreacting, the facilities, the quality of the productions and the staff. This is such a talented troupe of performers, who do such high quality work. I'm constantly amazed by the variety of the shows and the staging/set decorating. Jobsite shows are at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa. The intimacy of the smaller theaters (the Jaeb, which is often set up with tables and also has seats up in the mezzanine... and the Shimburg Playhouse, which has chairs on risers) makes the experience so immersive. It's almost theater in the round. You feel like you're in the show, not watching it. We've seen everything from Shakespeare reimagined to Rocky Horror and it's all been compelling and spellbinding. My only gripe is about the hard chairs in the Shimburg. They're so close together, you feel like you can't move, because you'll disturb those next to you. I'm tall, too-and I'm always afraid that I'll block the view for people behind me, so I scoot way down, adding to the discomfort factor. But that part is on me. You can pick your seats, so that's helpful. Adding to the joy of these productions: they're affordable. And they're even cheaper if you have season tickets, like my friends do. I go along to couple of shows a year and it's easy to get my separately purchased seats, next to theirs. Parking... well, it's downtown. But there's nearby street parking and flat lots. You can use parking apps to find spots. I tend to park at the nearby Poe garage, because I'm so familiar with it (it's south of the public library, next to Curtis Hixon Park). There are also more and more fun eateries within walking distance... and on nice days, you can stroll the nearby Riverwalk before or after a show. I really should consider season tickets. We grew up with a drive-in in our town and we loved it as kids, so we wanted to take our kids, this was their first drive-in movie experience and it didn't disappoint. Toy Story 5 was playing, they recommend showing up an hour early on their website, we arrived at 8pm and found a spot easily, but it's definitely a good idea to show up early because it was already packed with cars when we showed up. You also need a radio, preferably battery operated, so you can tune into the station (I believe it was 89.3) and listen to the movie - unless you want to leave your car running the entire time and use your car radio. We decided to sit in the back of my husband's truck, which was a vibe - just make sure you check the weather so you don't end up getting rained on and also recommend bringing some bug spray because there are lots of mosquitos that will pester you if you don't have something to keep them away. We will be back for a family movie night, this is such a fun family experience - I wish there were more drive-ins around still but they're few and far between unfortunately.

First off they turned their parking lot into the concert area. This left no parking for the event. We asked if there was a VIP parking area, there was not. We asked if they had a lot that they were using for parking for the event, they did not. Their response was "you have to drive around until you find a spot to park since we used our lot for the concert" ok well, St Pete already sucks for parking so that made it virtually impossible to find parking. We drove around an hour just to finally park about a mile away and walk to the concert. Then the VIP area in the front of the stage was not exclusive to just those with VIP tickets. They let anyone walk up there. The VIP bar was cash only and the supposed VIP balcony with air conditioned bar & bathrooms was exclusively for those that were with the bands! This is a clear false advertisement! The food was nasty & drinks were way overpriced. The drinks actually weren't that bad but they weren't worth $12 each! Fergs should stick to being a sports bar. This whole trying to add all this extra stuff is going to land them exactly where their Tampa store ended up.... closed for good!

My friend bought a silk jacket and a gorgeous lazy Susan. I loved that their prices were way more reasonable than what you find at the more high end art shows like Gasparilla Festival of the Art.
