So I went here over the weekend to watch the Odyssey and I will say that the chairs are old and they do not recline and they're quite small. The leather on the chairs were also peeling off so if you wear shorts, you will end up with that on the back of your thighs. My family and I came by the Regal theater on New Year's Day to watch the new Avatar: Fire and Ash movie. I was able to purchase discount tickets on Groupon which we were able to use on this new release movie. You can reserve t Your seat online, but there is a $2 per ticket fee. I decided to just go to the theater to purchase the tickets to avoid paying the fees, but at the theater I was still charged $4.50 total for a Groupon fee. There is no one working the ticket booth in the front of the theater, so you have to go to the concession stand to purchase your ticket if you didn't do so already online. A large bucket of popcorn was $12.99. We chose to watch the movie in standard definition versus 3D or IMAX 3D (this theater offers it). The seats in this theater are pretty worn and are in desperate need of refurbishing. The seating is tight compared to the reclining seats at some newer theaters. Overall, this is a functioning theater and gets the job done. read more

Great deal on a Tuesday! Saw Rental Family - great movie! Appreciate the showing times at this theater, about 1.5 hours earlier than others in area. Unfortunately no reclining seats and first popcorn batch was off- lack of seasoning and strangely soggy. Refill though was perfect. Appreciate the perfect temp in theatre. Lobby was extremely cold but no need for jackets watching movie. Recommend if you don't mind the seats. read more

We had to go to the Regal Rancho Mirage theater to see The Devil Wears Prada 2, since all the other cinema's closer to Palm Springs were all sold out for Opening Night (yesterday, May 1st). Reserved 2 tickets for the 8:30 showing. Our standard movie theater is (and now, will always be) the Mary Pickford Theater. Regal needs to up their game if they want to attract more people to their theater. These seats do not recline. You need to share the armrest with the person next to you. Mary Pickford has great seats that recline, and each seat has 2 large armrests, neither of which is shared by the person next to you*. The worst part of Regal Rancho Mirage - As I previously mentioned our tickets were for the 8:30 showing. We showed up at around 8:20, what we thought would be an adequate time for an 8:30 movie. It was more than adequate as we then sat through 40 MINUTES - yes! 40 MINUTES of several coming attractions and a TON of commercials! I kept checking my watch. The actual movie didn't start until 9:01!! That is completely unacceptable to put your patrons through! One of the things I like most about Mary Pickford is they only show 4 coming attractions, and they even count them down for you! And only a minimal number of commercials or announcements. This usually only lasts about 10 minutes long from the given Movie-Start-Time. But 30-40 minutes at Regal is unacceptable and downright aggravating! Never again! *btw, at Century Cinema, they have 1 large armrest between seats, but you still bump elbow with the person sitting next to you. read more

This theater is right down the road from us. We went to see Merrily We Roll Along there today. (Great movie). The staff were helpful and pleasant. The huge issue they have is no reclining seats. We always go to the River and will continue as the seats at this theater are tight and one struggles to be able to cross their legs. Reclining seats are the standard now in movie theaters. I'm sure it's not inexpensive but it is your only future to take back market share. Do I want coach or first class? I'll choose first class every time. read more

It's been since before COVID when I visited this theater, and I remembered why it's not on my list. All three of these stars are for the customer service. Everyone that greeted me, and worked the counter get high marks. Awesome service! As far as the theater itself.... C'mon. Saw Spider-Man in IMAX. The seats looked worn and were cramped as all hell (I'm 6'3). By mid-movie I had a hard time enjoying the movie because my knees hurt so much. The people sitting behind me felt like they were right on top of me, and that made their constant talking that much worse. I MUCH prefer the River for theaters in the area (my TOP theater is IPic in Pasadena), but this was closer to my home. The food wasn't much better. I purchased caramel corn, pepperoni pizza, a sweet tea, and Reece's Pieces. The best items were the Reece's Pieces and the sweet tea. Caramel corn just tasted..., burnt...? The pizza was no better than something I'd purchase at a gas station. It would be nice if they put in some covering for the parking. Good bless remote start. read more

First the door man just went in and closed the door on us with no greeting, man with glasses around 4:48 PM today. The lady as well at the check in stand just mad dogs us and doesn't say a word to us until I say we will leave a review she changes her face immediately. Went to watch Ballerina on Father's Day. Bought tickets and thankfully there was a showing right after our lunch at PF Chang's. The Ticketmaster was helpful and told us about signing up for a points system with them. For the countless movies we've caught here over the years we've never been told about it, so that was great. I was able to sign up on the spot. You do have to mention your email when buying tickets in person as well as any snacks or drinks you buy at concessions. The concessions team is friendly and nice. Very easy transactions and happy to input your email for the rewards. It's easier to show them your email typed out on your phone to avoid typos. read more

The theaters are massive however feature seats from 2000 or late 90s. No reclining and little leg space. They really need to update the comfort to match the rivals that heave fully reclining leather type cushy seats with heaters and coolers. This theater needs all of that. read more

These people are something else. My grandma purchased our tickets online for our movie for a birthday movie with our family. We arrived ordered our popcorn snacks and soda then went to the theater. Upon arrival we got seated and began to get comfortable. Shortly after sitting we were sled to step out by the guy behind the concession counter to pay for tickets. He was rude, snippy, and unprofessional at best. Tickets in hand they wanted us to buy new tickets. I was furious and just purchased another set of tickets knowing I would be writing corporate once I got home. They refused to listed to us and even look at our tickets to validate them before we purchased the next set. We will NEVER go back here again. read more

If you order food for a specific time - I'd recommend putting it8n an extra 5 to 20 minutes as they are slow.

Besides the super expensive drinks and popcorn, it's a nice theater with nice comfy seats that you can pick in advance where you sit. I like that feature as opposed to "get what you get" kind of seating. read more

This theater is really run-down with gross seats. I would absolutely understand if this was an independent theater, but this is a Regal. With ticket and concessions prices what they are, I can't imagine why it's THIS run down. I unfortunately have avoided it since my first (and only) visit, and I now avoid Regal theaters, as I have noticed they are consistently the worst of the big theater chains in non-metropolitan areas. Jeanelle opened a second register because there were people waiting in line. Sometimes that's all it takes to feel like someone cares about you not missing the start of the movie! We enjoyed this huge theater near the Westin Mission Hills Villa during our stay in Palm Desert. We were able to catch up on a couple of films that only momentarily hit the screens in our area. We liked the large screen but found the sound level a bit high. A couple of curious things in the theater design struck us. There is a traffic lane right next to the theater, but no immediately accessible parking. The parking is down a sidewalk and kind of off to either side. It's like the drop off lane at an airport to approach the theater. Is it for large groups? Bus drop off? It makes walking into the theater a hike. Also we had to walk in to the refreshment stand to pay for tickets, which was weird. Maybe this saves standing out in the 122 degree heat in the summer, but in my mind, tickets and food are two separate categories, and theaters rarely serve healthy food. So we waited behind everyone getting their soda and popcorn in addition to their tickets. The second time we went, we prepaid online, but still had to wait in the refreshment line to show our tickets. Then we had to select a seat, so we asked, "Oh, lounge seating?" but no, just seat selection of standard seats. The attendants were friendly enough, and we enjoyed the shows, but there seem to be some design, management issues that need to be worked out that could make this a sterling experience. read more

What a disappointment. Went to Oppenheimer because all the movie reviews said to see it in imax. The seats are like an old greyhound bus. The sound was horrid, no bass, no surround just loud. Very very loud. We couldn't stay in the seats more than 30 minutes. And the seats are so crowded in tight that you have to stumble and squeeze your way out. After seeing movies in Cinemark XD, going to this Imax is like riding a school bus after flying first class. Please upgrade the seating and sound. read more

This theater is ok when you first enter, but overall, it needs a lot of work. When we entered the seating area, the first thing we noticed was the musty odor. It smelled bad, and many of the seats were worn. We know Theaters are trying to get movie goers to come back, but rooms to watch movies like that should be permanently closed, until you can clean the place up. Reduce the number of movies you show and go through and clean the place upon affordability. What you offer isn't right. We certainly will not return. Went to see Wicked yesterday. This was such a horrid experience, I don't even know where to start! Not one single ad for this movie said it was only part 1 of a 2 part movie. The senior admission was $16 in the middle of the day. That's double what I paid last time I went. I came 15 minutes early so I could see previews. There were, perhaps 3 of them. The 3:00 movie didn't start until 3:30. That's almost 45 minutes of COMMERCIALS...for a movie I just paid 16 dollars to see half of! I was so furious, I would have left without seeing the movie had I not been there with friends. The chairs did not recline and there was little leg room. Guaranteed...I will NEVER be back. I will tell anyone I can about the clip job I got here...Some business strategy! You go! read more

Disappointing experience! This theater is rapidly declining! Main entrance and bathrooms are always neat and tidy, but the inside of the theaters are gross! There is left over food and trash behind every seat! What appears to be butter on seats/floor, and gum on the headrests! I'm not even sure if anyone comes in to clean. The seats are uncomfortable and very run down, with tears in many of them. The food is overpriced and new up-charges are constantly being added.
