My wife and I were visiting the area and decided going to see a movie sounded like a great idea. We ended up seeing The Long Walk, and I would recommend this movie to anyone. It was a little confusing to find the entrance into the mall to go into the theater, but we eventually found it. Once inside, we went to the concession counter to get some food before the movie. We had not had lunch so my wife and I ordered a hot dog combo, a nacho combo, and a large popcorn. So all of the items we got were a hot dog (which seemed as if it were microwaved), a thing of nachos with a small cup of nacho cheese (with Jalapenos which were $1.50 extra), a large popcorn, 2 bags of candy, and 2 large fountain sodas. This came out to $58... which flabbergasted me. Upon walking into theater 9, the theater was smaller than I expected. The seats were also very disappointing. The seats were very low to the ground, and I felt cramped in the seat itself. I don't know if I am spoiled with the theater near us, but I expected a nice reclining seat. The theater was overall very clean, and once the movie was over, the staff were in to clean almost immediately. read more

Me and my friends went to go see scary movie 6 and i was the only one that was 16 unable to get in, the worker was noticeably irritated and gave us totally unnecessary attitude for just wanting to see a movie. She was a older woman and I understand it is her job but at the same time the attitude or the bat of our first words to her were totally unacceptable and not customer friendly whatsoever. Anyways, we ended up getting refunds and the worker by the name of blue was incredibly nice. She wasn't upset or annoyed we had 4 tickets to refund or anything she was eager to cheer us up. She ended up giving all 4 of us free movie tickets that never expire and all of us free drinks. I'm not sure if staff that work the ticket stand are influenced to be stingy towards underage kids or noticeably defiant but the difference between the ways me and my friends were treated were totally different. This isn't for the attitude me and my friends were given trying to get in to the movie, it's for the simple acts of kindness shown to us by blue. My husband and I came here as a last second decision to watch The Long Walk-- great movie by the way! We booked our tickets online, which we always appreciate because it makes the experience much smoother. We were greeted at the concession stand by a nice man who was very friendly and helpful. I was a little disappointed that we paid $58 for food and drinks that was a bit underwhelming. The hot dog I got tasted as if it were microwaved and the nachos my husband got did not look too appetizing. The popcorn and sodas were good, but very overpriced. The theatre itself was very clean, and besides my husband and I, there was only one person so it was nice having the theatre to ourselves. The seating was quite cramped despite having the place to ourselves. I was expecting to have a reclining seat and we had very small seats. That did not take away from the movie experience, however. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever seen in a public place. The staff was incredibly friendly. If we are back in this area and want to see a movie, I'd return here! read more

This is a nice theatre & gives people in Watertown a safe, warm place to have fun. Prices are what you'd expect for a Regal Cinemas. Concession stand is overpriced but the theatre is next to a food court & Skewed Brewing if you'd like to get a drink, snack, or meal beforehand. They recently implemented a new ticket system where movie viewers pay for specific seats. There are about 20 people in the theatre & we are all squeezed into two rows. Maybe they have a business reason for this change but it's not enjoyable to have a family of 12 circle around you in what's mostly an empty theatre. read more

I am very disappointed that Regal Cinema in Watertown NY is not going to show the movie "Bonhoeffer" I enjoyed seeing Cabrini and was hopeful to watch Bonhoeffer as well. Regal never ceases in its ability to scam customers. After turning several movies, I had accrued enough points for a free ticket. However, it turned out not to be a free ticket because I still had to pay $1.50 in addition to cashing in 18000 points. Beware Greeks bearing gifts when you g to Regal. Additionally- I have been given several gift cards. I loaded them into the app. However, when I tried to pay for a ticket it wouldn't work. So I had to stand in line at concessioons, as our theater does have a separate ticket counter, behind people buying food, people who couldn't understand picking out their seat on a chart, which is totally unnecessary on a week day, to find out why I couldn't get my ticket on the app. I was told the app doesn't allow you to buy a ticket with your gift card. You must present it in person. So then- why is there a place for you to load your gift cards onto the app if it doesn't work? I cant tell you how much I wish I had another cjoice of theater. read more

Ugh. I don't know why would ever expect that my electronic tickets might work without issue. My family and I arrived on the 4th of July to catch Pixar's Inside Out. I'd purchased seven electronic tickets about two hours prior, and we were all very excited to see it. We'd heard nothing but glowing reviews. Apologies to any senior citizens reading this review. I really do love you. But I knew we were in trouble when I opened the door to the cinema and saw a 60-something ticket taker. My family and I approached. When I showed him the QR code on my phone, the guy gave me a "oh geez, I gotta scan this weird thing now?!" kind of look. He fumbled around with his scanner for a while, and then attempted to scan. I could see it come back with an error. He just sort of looked around, not quite knowing how to proceed. He flagged down a younger employee and asked him if he knew how to 'get the scanner set up'. To everyone's chagrin, the kid didn't know, and suggested that he call a manager over. Thankfully, there were no other customers waiting behind us. If we had stood in line and purchased physical tickets, we'd have been in the theater by this point, finding our seats. Eventually, a perturbed-looking manager came over, gave a couple of swift taps to the guy's scanner, and walked back to wherever she'd come from. The ticket taker attempted another scan with his device (which had seemingly been repaired by the manager), but again, the device came back with an error. Grr. He said, "You'll have to take this over to customer service, it's not working." Great. I walked over to the customer service desk, where NO ONE was working. After 30 seconds or so, I called out "Hello?", and the same manager appeared from around the corner. I told her that there was an issue, and that my QR code still wasn't scanning. She took my phone around the corner, and reappeared with seven printed tickets. Hooray. Again we approached the ticket taker, this time with familiar, tried-and-true, physical tickets. My wife attempted to make light of the entire situation with a cute little "Boy, we finally got THAT figured out, huh?", but the guy wasn't interested in any further interaction. Dead eyes, very little eye contact, all business. OoooKay then. Despite our misadventures with redeeming our e-tickets (come on, it's 2015, guys) the theater was clean, the seating was relatively comfortable, and the movie looked and sounded just fine (at least what I could tell through my tear-glazed eyeballs -- seriously, if you haven't seen Inside Out, go see it). As with any Regal Cinemas location, the concessions here are quite expensive, and there was no difference between adult and kid matinee prices. read more

Would give another star if they kept blue raspberry icees in stock. Give the people what they want. Also we've received the bottom scrapings of popcorn kernels three times. Inedible honestly. Same dude did it every time though so not a systemic issue. Not a bad theater for a small town. Update: went again and inadvertently stood in the same food counter line as the guy who has been serving us old popcorn kernels at the bottom of the machine. We didn't notice until we got closer to the counter. We ordered popcorn, drinks, and candy. He got our popcorn and drinks then said "hold on a second." He wasn't verbally rude but he left and went into the back for some reason, leaving us standing for ten minutes after cashing us out (I think it was 12 min but you get the gist). We were only waiting on a box of candy, of which was right behind the counter in a cabinet. Even the customers around us commented on it. It was very strange to say the least, but he has done something weird to us every time. Did not catch his name but if we do next time, I'll post it. I don't like calling service workers out but it has been strange occurrences with this guy every time and I do believe management should check into it. read more

I bought a ticket for Star Wars, accidentally chose a seat in the 2and row, exchanged it but they chose the wrong time. They exchanged it for the next movie. Staff was very helpful and I like this theater. Many from Fort Drum say they go to Syracuse to see a movie but I enjoy this one. read more

Can't go wrong being the only movie theater for miles around (not counting Ft. Drum). But really, haven't had a bad experience here. The place is new and clean and never too crowded. Most recently we saw the Dark Knight Rises on premiere day (the most crowded I've seen it) and there were several empty seats around us! The stadium seating is a huge plus - a necessity in some cases - for small-statured creatures such as myself. The movie selection is quite good; hipsters will be disappointed at the lack of obscure indie titles, but for us common folk, they do not disappoint. Refreshments are standard overpriced movie theater fare, although I believe with large drinks you can get free refills. read more

I love going to this moving theater. It's one of the best I've ever been too and it has stadium seating so you can get a nice view of the screen at any seat. I wish they sold dinner/drinks. I think that would add to the place but I do have to say it's my favorite place for movies. read more

It is SO good to have a movie theater up near fort drum again. :) The theater rooms are very small so if its a popular movie youre trying to watch, be sure to be there more than half an hour before the showing begins. Overall, good, clean theater...LONG lines always... Also the concession stand is EXPENSIVE but the popcorn is quite delicious. read more

An update from my last review, this theater is a participant of the MoviePass which is basically the Amazon Prime of movies. See one free 2D movie per day, seven days a week all year long for just $90 a year. You can really enjoy your movie going experience uninterrupted as long as you don't go during peak hours like Friday or Saturday night. I made a wise choice of when to go see a movie during my most recent outing. Good seat selection, even better movie. read more

I just spent 36 dollars on 4 matinee tickets for myself, wife, and 2 kids (7 and 4) and that's with a military discount. We went inside to buy popcorn and drinks. A large popcorn and 4 drinks came to another 35 dollars. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I will NEVER step foot into another regal theater for as long as I live. I'm thoroughly disappointed in you Regal! You should be ashamed of yourself! Also, while giving the guy our tickets they asked if we had any weapons. I was carrying a pocket knife, they told me I had to leave it at the counter and then they dug through my wife's purse. The place was quiet and smaller than i expected but the counter workers were very nice and friendly. The theater itself was clean and well managed. One of the only movie theaters in the area makes this place popular during the weekends but during the week is great for newer movies. We just moved here from Fort Hood, TX. Well down in Texas there was a theatre in Killeen that we considered the bad theatre. Hood trash and annoying punk kids along with trashy soldiers were who frequented that establishment. Well the Regal at Salmon Run Mall is exactly the same. We attempted to watch Power Rangers and couldn't wait to leave the theatre. At one point my wife asked me if I wanted to leave mid film. There were non-handicapped adults sitting in the handicapped​ seat with people sitting on the GROUND in front of them making noise the entire time. There was a group of ten guys on thier phones almost the entire movie in the row in front of us. I didn't see one usher the entire movie. Will NEVER go there again. Apparently it's new. You can definitely tell because, well... it's clean! That is until the usual teenage crowds decide to goof around and spill popcorn. But otherwise it's clean. The floors in the theaters have not yet reached that sticky squeaky shoes condition yet and for that I'm glad. It's decently priced too, especially if you have military ID. read more

The customer service here is terrible. While at the register I had the pleasure of listening to the manager and Jen complaining about a customer and where that customer chose to stand. I asked for 4, 5 dollar bills (for the arcade tokens for my kids) in exchange for a 20 and she told me she couldn't open her register without her manager there. I then said well I will purchase this bottle of water and then get the change. She hands me back a ten and a five (no big deal just asked her to change it back out). It seems like the adolescent humor stay a long time while the more thought provoking movies are there and gone if they ever are shown at all. Bring earplugs. It's always close to rock concert loud. Unfortunately this is the only theater in Jefferson County as far as I know. If you like to hear the movie playing and not sideline conversations then DO NOT COME HERE ON THE WEEKENDS. I am not sure why people pay $20 to sit in a theater just to talk about their day at work while the movie is playing. Why can't you do that in the food court? Or how about, is your conversation THAT important that you need to speak right now? Last month we saw Annabelle on a Friday night and ended up walking out five minutes in due to the mayhem that was going on around us. Lucky for us, the manager understood and gave us free tickets to come back another time which we cashed in on a Monday night. Girls, why do you think screaming so shrilly at the lamest of jump scares will come off as cute? Guys, do you really feel like more of a man if you talk shit to a projection screen? Furthermore, why is it that during heartfelt or creepy moments we feel the need to laugh? What is so funny? And to all those who sit on their phones throughout the movie has it ever dawned on you that maybe I don't want to deal with the glare of your screen while you scroll through Facebook? Can't Facebook wait an hour or is it that important to see what Becky's latest status is? My advice to you? Don't come here on the weekends. It's not worth it if you are here to actually see the movie. We now schedule our movie dates on weekdays which is so much nicer as the auditorium is filled with quiet, likeminded adults. read more

I had my 4 year olds birthday party here, during opening weekend for Ironman3. Pleasant experience, had our own reserved seats so we could be together, had our own party room, even though we felt like we were in a fish bowl. Our hostess was helpful, but she was a general manager so she had a lot of running around to do, so she could not give us 100% attention, took her awhile to bring us our popcorn to our seats (yes they did that! For an older cinema this is a good one. As usual, the popcorn, drinks and candy are so expensive you might need to take out a 2nd mortgage. The times I've been the theatre is fairly clean. The seats though, have to be the most uncomfortable seats I've sat in, they never fail to make my legs go to sleep. The lines can be long, so plan on getting there about 30 minutes before the show. Restrooms are older, but, seem to be fairly clean. read more

This is a nice place to watch a movie. It's got plenty parking, lots of seats in the theaters, lots of show times, and very kind and helpful staff. The prices are a little more than you'd think but it's still not too bad. It's a good place to go and watch a movie with your friends, family, or a date.
