At the Black River Drive In trying to watch a movie but can't see it because there is a glaring light behind the top of the screen.

At the Black River Drive In trying to watch a movie but can't see it well because of a big bright glaring light behind the top of the screen. So disappointing.

The drive-in is actually really awesome. Our family has gone twice so far since being here & we love being able to watch 2 movies for such a great price. It's a great night out with the family. They have guys that walk around & make sure if you need help tying down your trunk or covering your lights up, they're there. But, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is solely because of the concession area. The prices are decent but the food is absolutely terrible!! We ordered an entire pizza the 1st time we went there & it was undercooked but really greasy. We actually got sick from it & refuse to eat pizza there ever again. The 2nd time we went I got a cheeseburger & fries. The burger is right under $4 & you just get a bun, burger, & a pathetic excuse for melted cheese. You get no tomatoes, lettuce, onions, nothing. You pay $4 for a tiny burger with just cheese. My husband got chicken tenders our 2nd time & you would think, "You can't mess up chicken tenders right?!" Wrong. They looked microwaved & undercooked. Then both sauce packets that came with it were expired. His honey mustard looked like a solid yellow ball in that packet. The area where you get your condiments & stuff is absolutely disgusting. At the beginning of the night the napkin dispensers are empty, there's no cups for ketchup/mustard, & it's dirty. They have about 6-7 ppl behind the counter but not 1 to clean & restock that area. Their drinks are always crappy. The syrup is always low in each flavor. Our son's fruit punch was basically water. My husband got root beer & all you could taste was the carbonation. That's happened both times we've gone. & it's not like you can dump it out & get another flavor cause that flavor is also crappy. If you go to the drive-in it'll be a great experience, as long as you eat at home or somewhere else. The customer service is even worse! It's amazing cause the guys outside are great. They're very polite & helpful. But it's totally different inside the concession. You would think the concession would have great food & great customer service, especially because they advertise that the concession & it's sales are a key factor in the drive-ins ability to exist. Overalls our family LOVES the drive-in. But unless you're buying pre-packaged items from the concession, stay away from it! Other than that, you should have a great night out with family.

Great prices for food/tickets, tons of food options. Plenty of parking and they even have battery operated radios available if your stereo doesn't work.

Home of the triple feature! I have been to a few drive in theaters in a couple of states and this…read moreone pretty much is the top one for me. They have a great spot with multiple parking spots that slope upwards so you can see well even in the 2nd and 3rd rows. They have a brand new screen as well since a really bad storm tore down the last one. Fortunately the community refused to let them be defeated and rallied behind them to rebuild with donations and support. You will definitely get your moneys worth here! You pay $8 per person and you can often see 3 movies all on the same night! I will admit I'm getting old and usually leave after the second one but if they have something I really want to see, then I stay. Last week they showed The Boss, The Nice Guys, and Neighbors 2. All of these movies are newer and all of them an adult comedy. Sometimes they have themes, like family movies, adult movies, etc. The staff there are all really nice and really work their butts off making your food for you. The prices are fair for the food as well. Most things are under 5 bucks which is a great deal! I got a double cheese burger, large cheese fry, hotdog, and hamburger for my wife for under $20. They also do a free pizza drawing before the second movie based on your ticket number. Another perk is that you don't have the garbled speakers here, you can just tune in to the radio station set for the movie. That way you can listen on your car radio or smartphone radio app. The only critique I have is that their bathrooms are a bit...rough. It is an old drive in though, so that happens.

Me and my friends went to go see scary movie 6 and i was the only one that was 16 unable to get in,…read morethe worker was noticeably irritated and gave us totally unnecessary attitude for just wanting to see a movie. She was a older woman and I understand it is her job but at the same time the attitude or the bat of our first words to her were totally unacceptable and not customer friendly whatsoever. Anyways, we ended up getting refunds and the worker by the name of blue was incredibly nice. She wasn't upset or annoyed we had 4 tickets to refund or anything she was eager to cheer us up. She ended up giving all 4 of us free movie tickets that never expire and all of us free drinks. I'm not sure if staff that work the ticket stand are influenced to be stingy towards underage kids or noticeably defiant but the difference between the ways me and my friends were treated were totally different. This isn't for the attitude me and my friends were given trying to get in to the movie, it's for the simple acts of kindness shown to us by blue. Thank you blue for making all of us leave in a positive attitude.

It was a little confusing to find the entrance into the mall to go into the theater, but we eventually found it. Once inside, we went to the concession counter to get some food before the movie. We had not had lunch so my wife and I ordered a hot dog combo, a nacho combo, and a large popcorn. So all of the items we got were a hot dog (which seemed as if it were microwaved), a thing of nachos with a small cup of nacho cheese (with Jalapenos which were $1.50 extra), a large popcorn, 2 bags of candy, and 2 large fountain sodas. This came out to $58... which flabbergasted me. Upon walking into theater 9, the theater was smaller than I expected. The seats were also very disappointing. The seats were very low to the ground, and I felt cramped in the seat itself. I don't know if I am spoiled with the theater near us, but I expected a nice reclining seat. The theater was overall very clean, and once the movie was over, the staff were in to clean almost immediately.
