This movie theater is in the mall.

I always enjoy my visit to the movies because I'm going to get to see a movie that I enjoy. With the new technology, you can buy your ticket in advance online and pick the seat where you want to sit. The only time you interact is at the concession stand and often they do have someone standing at the door to scan your virtual ticket.

We came into this location at about 1 pm on a Tuesday with 2 adults and 5-kids. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they run specials on Tuesdays. The facility looks to be well kept and the bathrooms are maintained well. There were several things in the lobby to see and interact with. The facility was not busy at all, which we expected. We were disappointed that their food options were limited, likely due to the current supply shortage. As well as almost all of the icee options and machines were down. But staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend and return.

A quite big and elegant Regal as part of Southpark Mall. The facility seems a bit rusty but it has a certain charm to it in its design, which I found quite interesting and pleasant. The theater complex itself is quite big and has a good entrances/exits and layout. The concessions stand seemed always efficient and well-staffed and the staff pleasant. As the only Regal in the Southeast Richmond/Chesterfield and Tri-Cities area...excellent!

I guess this is the movie theater that you turn to if you live in the area. Congratulations, Colonial Heights, you get the honor of having a completely average movie theater serve you. There's nothing wrong with that. It just means you'd have to settle for an average experience in a below-average mall. I went here to see two movies: X-Men: Days of Future Past and Transformers: Age of Extinction. I disliked both movies, although I'm not going to hold that against Cinema 16 in this review of course. I'm going to find other things I can pick on instead. Like how weak the flush of the toilet in the men's bathroom is. Or how water costs a whopping five dollars per bottle. I did like how the bathroom was located so close to the theaters themselves, so I didn't miss too much of X-Men when I had to take a quick break. But other than that, there's not too much to comment on for this movie theater. Be sure to pay the extra few dollars for the 3D glasses, because that's always fun!

Be prepared to wait a long time to buy your ticket at the concession. Don't know why they changed but it's awful.

My server took our order and our entrees showed up before or drinks of water and ginger. I order the salmon with out potatoes but wanted a double portion of the spinach. It came out without the potatoes but not a double portion is spinach. The server said the chef said it was doubled. Ok if you say so. Let's get down to the actual meal, the Salmon was overcooked and the sauce was extremely salty. Like I could feel my blood pressure rising with each bit. The popcorn was cold and salty. It's a wrap for me. I am going back to a regular Regal theater cause cinebistro isn't it.

Apps Both the fried green tomatoes and the baked goat cheese were delicious. The tomato jam in the candied shallots on the goat cheese, made it rich and delightful. And they had enough baguette, which is impressive because usually the bread runs out in most places or something like this. The fried green tomatoes were also rich and indulgent and the peach habanero jelly was a nice bright kick. For entrées we got a couple CMX burgers, the ravioli and the chicken BLT. I usually get the tuna poke bowl, which is always very good but this time I was in the mood for a sandwich so the chicken BLT was a risk, but turned out it paid off. The chicken was cooked perfectly as well as the bacon. Very satisfying. The burgers never disappoint and my son really enjoyed his ravioli with an extra steaks you were on the side.

The location of this particular theater is great. You have Target, Kohl's, Old Navy, etc. right by theater, so it makes it so convenient to run other errands while being out there for a movie. The theater has friendly staff and ticket kiosks inside so you can skip the outside ticket line. The concessions are pretty good too, I've had their pizza a couple of times and was impressed for the price. Don't forget - they also serve beer, but I've yet to have one there. Lol Inside the theater, I've never had a problem with sound or uncomfortable seats. However, the restroom can be a bit of a walk depending on which theater you're in, but luckily I've gotten pretty close by the last 2 movies! Definitely recommend this theater!

However, I was met with the inevitable group involving two brain, dead parents and their children. I'm gonna take a wild stab and say that the son was 7 and the daughter was 5. I'm just gonna give you the spoiler and just say the daughter was the most cordial most well mannered and very quiet of the two. The older brother holy Christ I could not get through this movie without him constantly moving around making noise and the dad next to him constantly telling him to shut up every five minutes. This is a movie that's not even geared towards kids and these brain dead parents thought it would be a great idea to bring them over to a movie about two teenagers figuring each other out. Unless there's pies being thrown at each other or fart guns being fired at one another I don't think your seven or five-year-old child is going to enjoy anything like this. Anyway, two points I'd like to make. 1. This is to the brain dead parents and future parents on a fork in the road in making decisions just like this and anybody who does this shit, stop bringing your goddamn kids to movies that aren't geared towards Kids if I wanted to hear Kids screaming and laughing at whatever I will go watch the same kids movie that they're gonna go see. 2. Regal you need to do something about this because at this point, I'm willing to pay 20+ dollars to go to one of those special movie theaters with recliners. That's right I'm willing to pay more in Trump's economy to get away from children in my movies. Regal, I implore you; you need to make a policy in place where children under the age of 10 shouldn't even be seeing movies like this and you need to tell these parents to just go kick rocks and give them a refund. Anyway, the movie was spectacular. Too bad it was a shit show because Little Kevin couldn't shut up. Yes I know the kids name because the dad was loud enough to say his name. That's how constant it was.
