Not the best movie experience. I came to Main Street movies a few weeks ago to see The Long Walk. I went to the last movie that was set to start at 10:30pm. The pre movie credits ran for like over a half hour.....so the movie pretty much started a little after 11. The seats were not clean and had trash in the cup holder. I was so scheeved out that I put the clothes I wore into the washer as soon as I got home so they would not come in contact with anything else in my house. I likely won't come back to this place. My husband got tickets for us online and we were able to reserve seats. I was able to watch the movie fine (except for a random white dot that appeared on the screen every few minutes on screen 4). there were reclining chairs which was a nice plus but everything just felt so tired, dusty and outdated. The concessions stand also left a lot to be desired. I think the last straw for me was the women's bathroom: so dirty but ok fine, it's a Public bathroom. But why out of 5 soap dispensers did only 2 work? Why are a bunch of the faucets at the sinks not working either? why was the hand sanitizer pump outside the main bathroom door empty? Does no one check up on these things at this place? Off putting. No one checked tickets (take that however you wish) I did appreciate the one cashier at the concessions stand who seemed to enforce the mask wearing policy for movie goers though. read more

If i could rate this Zero stars i would. This theater is DISGUSTING. I visited this theater opening weekend for the Wakanda Forever movie and at 12 NOON the bathroom was atrocious (see attached photos). This place should have been spotless especially that early in the day! The sinks appeared to be petrie dishes of backed up sewage water!! There was no toilet paper in most of the stalls. The floor in the bathroom was filthy and i heard it was just as nasty if not worse in the men's bathroom. The concession stand area was dirty, trash all over the stand and floor where your suppose to get butter for your popcorn and napkins. The staff even looked at customers like "why are you coming in here?" The staff appear to goof around all day instead of working. Unreal. I will not return. read more

This is our go to place for the Mystery Movie Night. Lots of parking easy to get to near the bus and train station. I gave this Theatre a three star because of the wear and tear of the seats and some of them are broken. Everytime we their it new worker and everyone is in training mode. We like going but they need to fix it up and they also have different mangers. The hot dog are good but sometimes they be on the grill to long. And the popcorn packages are too high. It almost $100.00 dollars for me and my husband. And you think sometime it's ok but you won't to have good seating and great snacks. They need to have the wine and spirit at this location even if they sale the can drinks. It's never anyone at the front to purchase tickets. They need to do more advertising to get people to this Theatre. And some of the staff don't understand the rewards system they need training on that and let the customer know about it so they can enjoy free movies, upgrade on soda and pop corn and up coming events. read more

The past couple of times I've been here it has been a bit dirty. Popcorn scattered about. The concession stand was out of at least 3 different candies. We eventually stopped asking and instead asked what was actually available. This is the second time this has happened. I hope they're able to stock up more or update the display candies. The floor of the ladies restroom was wet and there are doors without locks. The theater seats are comfortable and it wasn't dirty inside the actual theater. Because it's so close to the main strip of Manayunk and has a large parking lot, it's convenient. Otherwise I'll continue to go to other theaters. read more

Oversized, electric, lounge style. Almost lays flat. Hands down, best reclining seats of any theater I've been to. You feel like you are in your own living room. Smaller theater with 4-6 movies different movies playing separately. Bar next door where you can bring your dog. Quiet area. read more

The seats are plush. We showed up and no one was in the booth and only one door was open. The people who were checking everyone in were over by the bathrooms. The seats are comfortable but you can't not accidentally hit the button. So you can't really move during the movie. A lot of room in the aisles. Synopsis: very dirty and unorganized. Just saw inside out 2, movie was cute but the theater was horrible. The theater was warm the entire movie, the volume was not loud enough, and the movie was blurry at times. I actually like this theater a lot. Bonus for being in an area with a nice big parking lot. The theaters are small and there aren't a lot of them but that keeps us less crowded so I like it. The seats are great and I've always noticed the theater as clean, unlike other reviewers. The staff is always super nice. Last night they ran out of popcorn for a minute and also seemed to be out of a lot of other things. the manager went out of his way to find us and apologize and he didn't have to do that. Things happen and people here are trying to do a good job. Yes, the womens bathroom is not great. And there's a very bright light in theater 4 that blinks the whole movie. Those are the reasons I dropped a star. Other than that, this is my go to theater so give it a shot. read more

I'm shocked at how poor these reviews are! United Artists is a fine establishment. They have a lot of theaters so they can play a lot of movies. The staff is friendly and attentive. Sure the line for popcorn is long sometimes but it's usually understaffed and I don't expect movie popcorn to be ready for me as soon as I want it. If you're seated in theater 6 choose rows G or F seats 6 through 8 for the best review. A friend and I came to this theater to watch Uncle Drew. It was an absolutely pleasant experience and really nothing went wrong. It's located where the old Manayunk Diner used to be and now that area is taken up by this theater and a wine and spirits, both of them with ample parking. We paid $7 for a small popcorn which is more than enough for two people. However the butter dispensers were out of butter and the dispenser button was in poor condition. Seated in theater 6 I learned that not all United Artists screens with recliner seats are the same size. At the usual one I go to in South Jersey Row E is the perfect row because it's not too close and not too far from the screen. However in this screen Row E was in my opinion two rows too close to the screen. My recommendation is that you choose row G or row F seats 6 through 8. The seats themselves seemed newer and nicer than what I'm used to at a United Artist. When the movie was done we stepped out into the lobby which was very clean and enjoyable to be in. There's a few video games and restrooms to the left when you exit. The restrooms were well-maintained. read more

I don't go to the movie theater much anymore because of my bad experiences with these places. Like it smelling bad, dirty, unprofessional staff, long wait times etc... but I like this theater. The theater was clean, the seats are comfortable, staff was polite and the bathrooms were clean. The cashier (Darryl) was awesome. Fast service and very personable. He should be a manager there if he isn't yet. I went on a Wednesday afternoon so not sure what this place is like over the weekend, but I'll eventually find out. We went here to see The Pope's Exorcist and had a terrifying experience. Avoid this place at all costs. A couple entered the theater without paying for tickets, then got into a screaming match with the manager who - after 10 mins of shouting mid-movie - allowed this couple to remain in the theater after they paid for tickets. This couple then talked loudly about the manager for 15 more mins and when other patrons asked them to keep it down, they responded violently by threatening to beat the other customers and follow them out to the parking lot. We left the theater immediately after that, scared for our safety. The manager DID NOT REMOVE THE COUPLE FROM THE THEATER. They offered us a refund for our tickets and did nothing else to protect the other patrons. The theater itself is filthy, no security, sticky seats, and no regard for safety. Skip this. read more

Theaters are terrible. Even the back row is looking up at the screen like you're in the front. Very uncomfortable way to see a movie.

The customer service was very bad. The concession stand was out of 3 or more items. I asked the young lady what candies do you have she immediately get an attitude, gave her my order she through my candy on the counter also the soda was flat. I am NOT an avid movie-goer. I don't make time to see movies; it's just not something I like to do. Don't get me wrong, I love engrossing movies as much as the next person, but if a film is a pile of filth (example: Mission Impossible 3), going to the movies is a torturous exercise. Last I was here, I saw XXX with Vin Diesel. It's no masterpiece, and the audience were quite vocal about it. The sexual comments yelled after Samuel Jackson came on-screen, or when Vin uttered any corny one-liner were priceless and made XXX that much more watchable. Doubt my experience was an isolated one, so if you want your very own Mystery Science Theater, stop in. NOTE: Regardless whether you have a rowdy audience, this UA is reasonably clean, somewhat expensive, has a large parking lot, and has lots of dining options nearby. read more

The worst movie theater experience I've had. The place was dated and filthy, from the lobby to the bathrooms. The bathroom was gross... every stall. The service was terrible. Long lines at the concession stand and they were out of stock of almost everything (seriously). When we gave our order to the attendant, she looked at us and said "we don't have any of that". Kind of continues on a steady decline. Recliners are nice to have, but they are filthy and with the faux leather flaking off all over the back of your head. Now that they've opened the dog park next store, you can hear a feint din of dogs barking next door to theater 6 when the film goes a little quiet. Picture and sound quality average at best. I generally have an OK experience here, but this past time was just terrible. In the last month or so they have adopted assigned seating, which really made purchasing tickets a pain. If you do it online, you had better be paying for your friend's tickets if you want to sit together. Every time I refreshed the page, the tickets I wanted were gone. We wound up sitting in the front row which, obviously, is too close for comfort! I have been to many local theaters for movies, and every now and then you get a chatty audience, but it was really out of hand this time around. One person started and then it seemed non-stop. Then someone took a call during the movie, and another. A camera flash went off as someone took a photo of the screen. At least one person was playing music through their headphones during the movie. I was so irked! I would say this place is truly hit or miss, depending on time of day and kind of movie - but just be warned you're going to have to deal with people's antics here. read more

I wasted $33 + last Saturday 3/29/20 to take my kids here to see the Sonic The Hedgehog movie. This theater should be shut down or get new management. First off the ticket line was closed off with a sign directing customers to buy their tickets from the food concession stand line which made waiting to buy tickets super long. Then, when I bought my tickets the staff told me & a patron in front of me that the Sonic movie would have a 30 minute delay due to a small fire. So for clarity sake I asked if my 4pm movie would be at 4:30 and she replied yes. Next, my kids and I wanted to purchase Slushies and couldn't since all their Slushie machines were down or broken. Next, we were gonna settle on soda but was told by staff that none of the soda machines were working either & we had to buy water. I asked if the water would be discounted and she told me no! Finally, I entered the movie at 4:30pm as directed by staff and the Sonic movie looked well into the midpoint (or close to it) AND a family of 3 were comfortably reclined in all 3 of my family's pre-selected seats! I told them that they were our seats & they got up. Never go here. This theater sucks! Better to head to NJ or northeast Philly for a good movie experience. read more

Been coming here for years. Today me and my sister went to see the new movie Queen & Slim. The movie theater was a bit cold. I mean you guys don't believe in heat. Small box of popcorn $6. Yet they wonder why we rather stay home and watch bootleg. RESPONSE TO MANGER: See here's the problem manager. I could of easily watch this movie in the comfort of my own home off one of these illegal bootleg sites , with heat and enjoying a nice meal. I wanted to take my sister out. And it was a horrible experience. An apology won't do. Reason.....when people leave negative reviews all you guys do is apologize. Every business as if it's a standard practice when receiving a bad review. It make no sense for a small bag of popcorn to be $6. Now getting back to bootleg sites being an billion dollar business. It's because movie theaters need to figure out a way to make people want to come to their theater. Not sit through a movie and it's freezing cold inside eating nasty $6 popcorn. The United Artist on Main Street provides a great movie watching experience in a small theater. The theater usually has all of the top box-office films playing. The highlight of the theater is the reclining leather seats. The seats are indeed very comfortable. The sound and visual Inside of the theater is clean, I have never experienced sticky floors or an abnormal amount of food waste on the floor. The theater requires a seat reservation with the purchase of a ticket, there are times where the only the front two rows are available. The reservation is included in the price, which is great if you are able to get your ideal seat. A workaround for this issue is using the Regal App. I am not a fan of popcorn or candy in general - I do not frequent the concession. There are roughly 20 minutes of previews before the movie starts. So, there is plenty of time to visit the concession before the movie. One thing that could make the movie theater better - is if the ushers walk through the theater more often. I have experienced a few talkative viewers during past visits. I wished they could have been addressed by a staff member. Currently, the matinee is priced at 10.80. There is usually one matinee showing of each movie every day, of course with a few exceptions. Matinee tickets can be purchased in advance. The matinee movies are the first showing of the film of the day - at times this can be after 1 pm. There is no student discount or a weekly discount day at this theater. read more

Meh - I guess this theater is one of the prime examples of why mainstream movies theaters don't do it for me even when it's good. Spots like this and King Of Prussia can be considered some of the best. But If You ask me they still kind of suck. You still get the people talking. and you still get the noise. But It' isn't the Riverview. Therefore it's kind of better.....Or Not? You be the judge I guess. As for me I'd rather put up with The Roxy, The Bridge, or Take My Imax chances at The Franklin Institute. And Yeah I suppose my indecisiveness is probably why I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet.. Theater was ok. Not anything fancy. I guess this used to be a United Artist theater because the big signs are still outside. Theater and screen was decent. Popcorn was fresh. Bathroom was a little dated. Employees were friendly. Seemed a little short staffed and they had a security guard. Not much more to say about this place. It was pretty basic. read more

I hadn't been to this theater since they added the recliners. My hope was they would redo the WHOLE theater facility, but this was not the case. The actual theater/screening rooms are now very nice (let's hope they stay that way...). The recliners are new and comfortable. The rest of the building, well... it's exactly the same. Guess it was too much to expect them to give the whole place a face lift. We were there on a Sunday night when it was FREEZING cold so we almost had the theater to ourselves. This is not normally the case though. Since the addition of recliners there are a LOT fewer seats. If you're going to see a popular movie, make sure to book ahead! Not sure what it'll take for a movie theater to get 5 stars in my book... this one is fine, don't get me wrong, but not out of this world either. read more

This is a smaller theater but very personable. I had a great experience here and the popcorn was fresh, which is important as movie and popcorn are synonymous. The customer service from the ticket purchase to the people who sale the food and those who direct you to your theater were friendly. Smiles are always a plus wherever you go :D read more

This theater's seats were recently remodeled to recliner seats. They are very comfortable and still seem like new. Some of the decor is still dated (like in the bathrooms), but hey, we don't go to the movies for modern bathrooms, we go for a great movie experience and you get that here. read more

Worst AMC in America. No matter what time you come, the bathrooms are atrocious. Urine and toilet paper covers the floors and you'll be better off bringing your own bottle of soap to wash your hands. I've never seen the staff clean the bathrooms, seat tables are always dirty. Except for the young girl scanning tickets tonight, no one working here has a good attitude and work ethic.
