Our second try... the first was in March, we missed the ski season, so we came back for summer…read more Seriously disappointed that the water park was $370 for a family of 4! That's more than Hershey Park, Kings Dominion, and Water Park USA. Which all have better water parks. However.... We loved the recreation water park and just did that 4 days, the kids love it, indoor and outdoor. Zip lining, summer tubing, go karts etc... we had fun.

I waited a week to see if my attitude towards vacation has changed and I'm sorry to say it hasn't…read more If your going to this resort becuase your thinking it's like the hotel in dirty dancing - your in for a BIG shock. This is a HUGE complex spanning MILKED of mountainous territory. We stayed at the summit condos. This location was about 3 miles away from anything else on the property. Due to this anytime anyone had something scheduled to do we had to arrange how to get people from point a to b with only one car. This proved to be a HUGE hassle. The rooms - well ours needed a BIG update. The furniture was horrid. The couch cushions flattened into nothing and you sunk in the couch anytime you tried to sit. The best thing that could have happened to any of the living room furniture was to throw it off the deck. The bed was a giant non supportive marshmallow that caused me GREAT back pain. You could literally feel the dents from where people slept on it. It was awful. The kitchen was ok as passable at best. It had the world's loudest ice maker and dishwasher I've ever heard. Both looked like they belonged in the 90s. Onto the activities. Beware you will be nickled and dimed for EVERYTHING and that is so not a joke. The one class that cost $15 was for the kids to make a gnome home. They used an old milk carton and about $2 in crafting items. I'm probably being generous saying it was $2 of crafting material total. The escape rooms didn't work right and actually broke while we were there. On and beware things shut down on Thursdays for whatever reasons. So literally we went into town and spent time there cuz there was nothing to do on the resort. The pools are ok sized but have little to no shade. What shade that was there was quickly gobbled up by seat hogs that refused to move. I'm convinced people walked in saved their seats and left. The amount of stuff on chairs did not match the number of people who were there. This made the pool extremely hot and uncomfortable on the extremely hot days when we were there. Overall we traveled with 6 kids ranging in ages from 15-22. All were bored by day 3 and looking for things in town to do. Beware of the super strong timeshare pitch that you will be contacted about. While the tour they gave was nice there's no way I'd buy a timeshare there. Would not do again.

Our family bought in to Mountainside Villas about 5-6 years ago and have had nothing but amazing,…read moremutli-family vacations here. The units are enormous, with space to spread out. Very well stocked and enormous kitchens, high ceilings, large windows and situated beautifully on Massanutten Mountain. Wish they had propane instead of electric fireplaces, but other than that, this place is great. Most of the units appear to have the major stuff updated (Kitchens, Baths & more) but it is a more rustic with older decor, but okay to put your feet on the coffee table sort of place perfect for families. They have access to all of the other resort stuff on the mountain as well.

Well... I put off reviewing this site until I was able to off-load the timeshare that was "gifted"…read moreto me by a relative. Thanks, but you can have it back. Our week was 48--right in the middle of nothing. It's the height of off-season, so understand that my review may be tainted by the fact that most "things" are closed, there's no snow, and everyone is gearing up for the storms to come. The condo was nice. Well-equipped and cozy. Kids loved playing in the downstairs "hot tub," but the water got cold before the entire spa was filled. Upgrades will be needed at some point...but not sure that they'll survive the timeshare tradition. I was lucky to find someone willing to take this off my hands. Paying the annual fee was only slightly less than 3-4 nights at a decent hotel elsewhere. If you're able to buy into RCI and enjoy the benefits of banking and playing the weeks/points game, this is a decent start. I wouldn't return every year. Particularly in the off-season.

Scathing Airbnb Review (Policy-Safe) This booking was…read moremanaged by TripForth, and the experience was unacceptable. Our group of 20 was scheduled to stay during the severe winter storm in Virginia in late January, when the state had declared a state of emergency and roads were widely reported as impassable. For safety reasons, we did not attempt the trip and never stepped foot in the property. Despite these extraordinary circumstances, TripForth refused to issue a refund or even offer a credit toward a future stay. As a result, we lost over $2,000 for two nights at a house we could not safely reach. While weather is uncontrollable, management's response was entirely within their control--and they chose to show zero flexibility, empathy, or consideration for guest safety. For a large family group, this was an extremely costly and frustrating experience. I strongly caution future guests: if anything goes wrong, do not expect reasonable communication or accommodation from this management company.

Stay away from TripForth and think twice before booking a stay in the Massanutten area…read more While staying at a vacation home, I left for a few rounds of golf. When I returned, I found a copy of the 1939 Hardy Boys book The Twisted Claw lying in the driveway. This edition contains racist language and stereotypes that many people find deeply offensive, and as someone with an interracial family and two young children, finding it on the property was extremely disturbing. I immediately contacted TripForth and asked them to help me get in touch with the property owner so the Ring camera footage could be reviewed to determine how the book ended up in the driveway. TripForth refused to provide the owner's contact information or facilitate direct communication. I also requested a refund so my family could relocate to a property where we felt more comfortable, but that request was denied. To make matters worse, there doesn't appear to be a way to speak directly with TripForth customer service. Every call I made was handled through a relay or messaging service, making it impossible to have a direct conversation with someone who could address my concerns or make decisions. The lack of accessible customer support only added to an already frustrating experience. Regardless of how the book got there, I was disappointed by TripForth's handling of the situation. I expected them to take my concerns seriously and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, I felt dismissed and left without options while traveling with my family. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend TripForth, and I will not be booking through them again.
