A Brady street (mental) institution. I keed, I keed. Very welcoming staff great specials. Great prices cash only but they have a ATM on site. Dogs are welcome. Pool table good music and darts. What else do you need? Foo - Amb 3 expect a dive bar. Ser 4 friendly Loc 3 Val 5 50/ 2014

PBR, Jagermister shots, and prosciutto stuffed green olives from Glorioso's across the street. Relaxation.

Roman Coin is a fun place with great bartenders, very friendly patrons, reasonably priced drinks, and a laid back atmosphere that is always welcoming. They have some snacks on weekend but you can easily get something from the many eateries around and with Glorioso's across the street you can't go wrong. I stop over while in Milwaukee and it is my local, Milwaukee waterhole. Have fun smashing in the Kiss or Simpsons pinball machines. They are pet friendly some bring in your doggies.

The best dive bar!! Came across this spot because they allow dogs inside (AMAZING) and definitely recommend it if you're looking for a reasonably priced, friendly, divey bar in MKE

This is a great place to meet friends and have a good drink. Bring cash because it's cash only but the drinks are pretty cheap which is always a good thing. When I went with my friends they had a couple dogs in there which I just love love love! They have a pool table if that's your thing. It's not a real big place so it's not real noisy so it is great for socializing and good conversation.

The Roman Coin is the real deal, folks. This Brady Street dive extraordinaire has been around for what seems like forever, but in the last few years, this spot has really come into its own vis a vis craft beer selections and an appeal to a more diverse crowd. Back in the day I remember Roman Coin being the requisite "old dudes drinking at 6am" spot on Brady, but these days, it's all ages cool and accessible dive-style, more open and inclusive, seemingly. (I attribute this to them becoming a bit more marketing savvy in the past few years. Way to go, Roman Coin!) You'll find lots of craft suds in bottles and on tap, normal bar-type offerings in the way of boozes, Big Buck Hunter, pinball, a pool table, an internet jukebox... you get it, right? I've heard the men's bathroom is super grody. The women's is pretty gnarly, so I can only imagine... Bottom line: dive-y goodness right on Brady, a nice change of pace from other spots in the area if you're looking for a cheap-ish, laid-back good time spot. Recommend!

How have I never been here before??? There's roaming dogs and neighborhood locals, fat tire on tap and a genuine laid-back neighbor hood-y feel. (I didn't see any cats **only dogs** for the record but im sure they'd be welcome if they needed a drink after a particularly stressful day of napping on the couch.)

Very boisterous and fun clientele, jukebox, pool table at the back. They play a crazy mix of songs and it's a fun atmosphere.

$2 tallboys, at least on Wednesdays, and friendly dogs roam about the place, which is well-worn with a chill vibe. What's not to like?

We had some low key beers here as we made our way up and down Brady--but could have spent the whole night here.

Consistently busy over the years and for good reason. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the service or the food. It's a dark, cozy little restaurant bar but with so much character and history. Service is friendly and efficient. I love that the food I've ordered here has always exceeded my expectations with the seasonings and quality of ingredients used. Reasonably priced too! If you don't have a reservation, you may end up waiting for a table in the back area at a high top but it's a great opportunity to enjoy one of their great drinks in the meantime!

We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. We also had to send back two drink glasses because they were dirty one still had lipstick on it, and another had food stuck to the inside of the glass. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the unprofessional treatment, lackluster service, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend stopping here. There are plenty of other restaurants worth trying instead.

If you're considering going to Duke's, don't bother. This place has completely hit rock bottom, and it's clear no one, especially the owner, gives a damn. The owner is unbelievably rude and has flat-out made it known in a conversation "I don't care whether you come here or not." The former owner could never. Why? Because the new owner's got other locations that funnel money into his pockets. So, your business means absolutely nothing to him. The atmosphere is nothing short of depressing. Whatever decorations once gave the place some semblance of life have been stripped away, leaving the bar looking like a rundown and that's given up on trying. No vibe, no energy, no crowd--seriously, there's hardly anyone there anymore, and who could blame them? It's painfully obvious that Duke's is circling the drain. The owner's apathy is contagious, and it shows in every detail. Even the bartenders hint that this place just isn't it anymore...ouch. The place is soulless, and it's a miracle the doors are still open at this point. There's zero excitement, no reason to ever set foot inside, and if you do, you'll regret wasting your time and money.
