They have several complaints with the state. My friend stayed for 3 months. there are good therapists but the nurses are not all good at all. My friend was left in soiled diaper multiple times. His food was cold and the meat was not at proper health department guidelines. His meds were also wrong several times. I had to call in to complain about his care. The manager was responsive and the problem nurse was removed from his team. They can do better. If your loved one doesn't have someone checking on them watch out.... read more

Would not recommend this place. My grandmother came here for rehab after extensive surgery on her broken foot. She was a 2 person transfer as she could not bear weight on her bad foot. She stayed about a month and honestly wasn't much better than when she arrived. They were severely understaffed, which I totally understand with how things are today. It is still no excuse that she was left on the bedpan one morning for TWO hours screaming for help. Numerous times she waited close to an hour for someone to help her off the bedpan or even answer her call light. Communication with employees was poor. She had an order for a medical boot and the facility never put it in, so she was left in just an ace bandage for about 2 weeks longer than necessary, causing a pressure wound on her heel. There were a SELECT few really good aides & nurses, but other than that this place was pretty awful. read more

So a loved one had to spend time here, we will just call her "J". Anyway they do have a lot of things seniors can do, and get out of their room, BUT many don't want to leave their room, so what options do they have? My loved one was extremely bored there and was diabetic. She was so disgusted by the food! I was there usually when her food was brought and it was SO unappetizing! I mentioned she was diabetic, this they knew as they had to check her blood sugar and give insulin BUT they had her on a regular diet and not one for a diabetic. One day there was some sort of special occasion and cake was offered, to all the seniors passing by, so of course she took it happily (she did eat cake and treats at home after all) Well she ate it and later they came to check her sugar, it was high and after they asked her what she ate, even though they may not have meant their response to come off this way she felt shamed! She really was quite miserable there. One time they brought her out of her room and she was recovering so she was in a wheel chair, they left her sitting in the hall with about 10 other residents... she didn't want to be out there with a bunch of elderly that were much more "in need" of care than she was, she was very uncomfortable, and when she had to pee and asked someone to take her back to her room, they said oh tell so and so, she told the next nurse to walk by again she was ignored, she ended up peeing herself and she lost her dignity. They may have activities and it really seemed like it would be great at first, there needs to be additional people to just go room to room and sit and talk to the residents, and there should be a dietician to be constantly working on bettering food and meals for each patient. Food is a big part of overall health and effects mood, no one wants to "choke down" their dinner or go hungry. also a big one she called them late at night for shortness of breath and was told it was anxiety, turned out to be a lung issue that could of killed "J". It was a antibiotic resistant form of pneumonia that spreads through nursing homes and hospitals. Our elderly loved one had to have a huge NEEDLE shoved into her lung and the fluid removed, and then everybody around her had to wear a mask and the hospital put her in a quarantine room! She felt like a forgoten about shelter dog. It was really horrible and the whole experience just wasnt good. Not sure if she got the infection there but it seems like it, based on the time frame she was there. It could be a nice place for most people I assume, but was not in our case, and I certainly Hope it has bettered since then read more

Do not send your loved one here unless you are paying out-of-pocket. The care was "average", could have been better (as with most Nursing Homes. However, much of the staff was INCOMPETENT! 90 year old with broken leg and hip denied skilled nursing care due to notes from the facility--couldn't do anything for herself including get dressed or get to the bathroom. The facility couldn't get her out of there fast enough. This possibility was never addressed at the care conference after admittance. Truly the worst experience ever. Went to another facility and continued to receive PT and OT care. Simply ridiculous! read more

Regency is an awesome place. I can not begin to say enough about the therapists there. They worked with my 91 year old mother and did an awesome job of building her strength back after a fall. The nursing staff for the most part is really above par. So many of them I couldnt thank enough for what they did for my mom. The administration was good and even went out of their way to help me apply for Madicaide for my mom. The facility is really clean and gives a feeling of warmth. The rooms are roomy and offer space for things to make it feel more of a home for the patients. The staff sets up a variety of events for the residents including but not limited religious programs, music sing a longs, fiestas, super hero day etc. I was pleased with the treatment of my mom when she was in there. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was 2 incidents. The first one was for the 3rd day in a row they gave her the wrong meal. There are 2 choices each night and she made her choice and they got it wrong. When I told the nurse she took it back and came back and said the kitchen was backed up it would be 5 minutes. Well we waited and 45 minutes later still nothing. So I pushed the call button to get a nurse and find out what was going on, 15 minutes and no one had came. If my mom was having a heart attack, or was choking or had fallen she could be dead by now. I wish at this point to emphasise that all the other times the call button was used there was prompt response. I dont know if it was because it was the weekend or just that we got a bad person or what but it was this one time only. Anyway finally the nurse came back and asked if she was finished with her meal. I said she hasnt gotten it yet. Her response was "Realy? Oh I will go check on it, I just got back from my lunch." Well im glad she got hers. Just a bad experiance. The other incident was after my moms cataract surgery she couldnt take a shower. They came in the first day ready to give her one. If I hadnt been there they would have. All because of a lack of communication. I once again want to state these were 2 isolated incidents and the rest of the time they did an awesome job. I would recomend Regency to anyone who has need for it. read more

I have a brother there been sitting in shit all day. I asked the staff could she have someone come and change my brother she told me she would try to get somebody there.Then she called the police on me after she lunged at me another staff member had to hold her back worst place ever been neglecting my brother And it's a reoccurring Thing him Laying there in bed in His own bowel movement. I stayed there Last year for 6 months recovering from a car accident. I needed assistance with my day to day functions of living. I did not receive the proper care such as being left in the shower by myself while my aide was not in the room. Not getting showers on designated days and having to fight with the staff to get one. Being left in bed with wet diapers for hours upon hours. When I would ring the bell the staff would come in and say we will be right back in, A minute turned into several hours. I needed help wheeling myself to and from and it was not easy finding someone to help me. I was left in the lunchroom several times by myself after everyone else was gone to figure out how to get back to my room. When me and or my advocate complained they always had the same excuse that they were short staffed. The activities were ok however while there they only had a driver for 1 month and we could not go on outings. I looked foreword to the outings alit it gave me a little sense of real life. The other activities they did were always unorganized and seemed to be the same things over and over again. The staff would talk amongst themselves and not engage with the residents. In the lunchroom the residents and I were left to fend for ourselves as the aides were talking amongst themselves and or nowhere to be found.
