The outdoor pool area has gone through an AMAZING transformation!…read more I first want to say that unfortunately I don't have many pictures. I didn't want to seem rude and make people self conscious by taking pictures with them in it, specially when in bathing suits and lots of young children. With that said, this outdoor pool is beautiful! The parking space is ample. So many places to park. The surrounding area is covered by trees and other outdoor activities including a baseball diamond/field and a very nice skate park. Upon entering, there is a small fee to get in daily. I believe residents receive discount to and there are passes available. As soon as we entered the swimming area, I was really impressed! Plenty of spaces to sit. In the shade, sun, a bit further away, many options. There is a shallow pool with lots of fun activities and slides for the young kids. That pool is 1FT deep and it's perfect for families. There's another pool with a basketball game another cool slide and zip tie pool plunge. On the far right there's an area with the long, tall slides ! These are new and look so fun. A bit further behind is a lap pool with diving boards. Unfortunately we came on a day with poor air quality and they had to close early. But we did enjoy 2 hours worth of swimming. There is an additional indoor pool and we were encouraged to swim there. We decided to go home. There's a confession stand that we didn't get to try and I haven't seen the fitness center yet. I honestly can't wait to come back, best pool in the area. Not too packed, big, fun, plenty to do. Loved !

This pool looks fabulous but we came on a weekday, half an hour after opening and I'm not sure how…read moreit wasn't considered at capacity. There was a camp with hundreds and hundreds of children running around. They didn't all listen to the lifeguards. There were no chairs available -- that's on us, we should have come at opening, but it was wildly overcrowded and then another camp with even younger children arrived. My kids are young teen/tween age and excellent swimmers but it's more crowded than a Great Wolf Lodge on a holiday with a lot less supervision. I felt awful for the lifeguards. We'll likely come back on a weekend because the facilities are great but the amount of children vs adults/older teens is honestly hard to imagine and felt very stressful.

I asked the life guard about a discoloration on the tile at the 5 foot depth line of the pool. He…read moresaid that is was pink mold, and that the chlorine would probably take care of it. I told him that probably wasn't sufficient. He said he'd talk to management. I ended my swim early, concerned. Later I notified with the county health department. They rated the pool as safe to use. The next time I came to the pool, the manager berated me for having reported my concerns to a neutral arbiter and insisted that I apologize to his boss. The restrooms are sometimes filthy. The lawn chairs have bird droppings on them. The lap lane is frequently not available for swimming laps because people are recreating in it. Lifeguards do not consider it their job to direct recreational users to other areas. At the beginning of the season, the new pool app was not working. The club manager insisted that she would process my application that day. Weeks later, it was still not working. I was told that I would not be able to use the pool. The acting manager rolled her eyes at me, a sign of contempt. Maybe it should be called "Rollins Contemptuous".

The pools are amazing! Minus one star because the staff is not always so bright…read more Pros: -Lazy river! -Kiddie water play area. -Plenty of lounge chairs. -Showers--both indoors & outdoors. Cons: -Pools are not heated. -No jacuzzi. -Some sort of bee hive or wasp nest living inside the gate next to the children's pool area--and no sign warning people to use the other gate (for several weeks!). -They randomly shut down the children's pool and the lazy river in the afternoon for planned maintenance, 10 days before Labor Day, with no warning to residents. I would not have schlepped down there with my baby and invited a friend had I known. Why couldn't they have done that right after Labor Day? -The pools are only open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Absolutely packed Memorial Day weekend (just wait a couple of weeks).

The attitude by the administration at the Bender JCC is that what members think and complaints they…read moremay have are unimportant. They don't want to be bothered hearing from members, especially not their complaints. The CEO, Josh Bender, terminated the membership of many members who had the nerve to complain about the same problem more than twice though it had not been addressed. The Chairman of the JCC Board of Directors, Naom Fischman, is no better than the JCC CEO. He doesn't want to hear from members either. Unlike most organizations, although one can find out who the members of the JCC Board they provide no contact information. Clearly, they do not want to be contacted. No decent Board of Directors is like that.

They had me ejected from their parking lot when their property was a polling place. I was engaging in lawful electioneering. It was actually the chief operations officer of the Bender Jewish community center who did this. They are just horrible people. You can see the video on the officers body camera.
