My first time here was for the movie, Jurassic Park with my friends. I liked the popcorn, the seat where I sat which was not too close nor too far from the screen. My friend told me the ticket costs $10. (cheaper than pacific's) She bought the tickets online called fandango and they were supposed to be on 7pm but we got there 30 min late so we had to change the time and we did. The best part was we didn't have to wait in line bc when we got there, the line was freakin' long, so we just went in when once we got our updated-tickets. read more

Went today to see The Avengers. CRAP place, I tell yah! We bought tickets at the kiosk so it would be faster..me think not! I use this kiosk all the time, you just buy them and boom..walk in. Not today. For some odd reason they had the manager selling tickets at the lower snackbar..ok fine BUT she was also the one you had to see to get in..get my point yet? SO I had to get in line with purchased tickets behind 10 people. SLOW line by the way. I was so dang frustrated. My husband glanced up and they were 2 people at the snack bar just chatting away. I'm thinking..why isn't one of them down there taking tickets while she sells them? I KNOW what was I thinking? Close the outside box office and bring it inside AND let's have ONE person selling and taking tickets at the same time? Bright idea people. It's not good to make people who already bought tickets have to get in line and wait..what's the point of the kiosk? I was disappointed cause we were a little late due to having to wait. I really like Regency Theaters simply because it is inexpensive. $7.25 matinee! WOOO! Can't beat that price =) I can afford the candies, finally! Anyway, the theater rooms themselves... well it depends on what kind of movie you're going to watch. I think from what I've seen so far, a hyped up movie will have the nicer bigger theater and a not so hyped movie will have the smaller theater. I don't mind the small one, but the big one I like. Sound is great, picture is great. Overall I like very much. The only thing is what is up with the arm rests? I have to have incredibly strong arms just to bring one arm rest down, geeze, who made them? The Hulk? haha anyway, that's such a small thing for me to be honest, it doesn't take away from the price and movie watching. read more

Theater is small and seats could be better but it definite an old- school theater feel with specific upgrades. Two Adult tickets for $19 seriously. That's a deal considering the Arc-light charges $16.50 per ticket. Granted they serve alcohol, Regency is a quaint theater with all the necessity for a deal! read more

My wife and I originally came here after having an anxious filled morning we came to watch Captain Marvell and we were buying our snacks, approaching our theatre room my wife dropped the nachos so she went back and told Delilah, she told her no problem that she would have it cleaned, about 20 minutes in our movie we find Delilah walking up to us with a new set of nachos saying she had searched every seat in every movie to find us to replace the nachos, it's customer service like this that's rare to find nowadays, she definitely turned around my wife's day, thank you! read more

This is a small local type theater place. Cheap, old comfy seats, good picture and sound usually. Not the best in any category but meets my needs when I want a $6.50 matinee show. Hot Dogs are a $1, even if you don't buy anything else. The bathrooms are upstairs where the theaters are not which is a pain, but whatever. This place has been around for ages and I think will keep meeting the needs of the people who want simple and quick no frills entertainment. read more

I just saw the Dark Knight Rises here and it was my first time at this theatre. It was not a bad place at all. Considering the length of this movie (2 hours 45 minutes) I really have no complaints about the comfort level of the seats. I mean, I have been to places where after 1 1/2 hours I was hating life. But this was alright. The matinee price was $6.50 so that was good. Is it the Arclight? NO! But it was about 1/2 the price and so it works for me. The bathrooms are upstairs, which was fine by me. I could use the exercise.... but as far as the rest goes, I'd come see movies here. It was nice and cheap and these days, that is a blessing. read more

low budge theatre-budget prices-barely an audience-easy parking-not a long wait for eats. if I see a cockroach I would ask for my money back...yell really loud that there are cockroaches otherwise. Hang on to your ticket and monies when you purchase a ticket at the ticket booth cause there is always a wind storm wooshing through the little slot of the window. Best thing is that there is a SEES CANDY right next to the theatre (well, just a little walk away) so you can buy all your candy there ...allow yourself a little extra time to do so. I l9vr this theater. I moved into the neighborhood 1 year ago. I used to be a devoted AMC Theater guy, until 8 came here. Regency's ticket prices are much cheaper thsn AMC, and with my points, i seem to get a free popcorn or movie ticket every 4 movies, unlike Stupid AMC where i have to pay for 10 movies before getting a free popcorn or movie. The decor is standard, the place is clean, and the movie screen quality is equal to AMC's. I love paying $8 for matinee and $10 for evening shows compared to $15 ar AMC. Avoid this theater like the plague! They don't care about keeping their customer base in a dying industry. The place is dirty/sticky, outdated, and it is always humid/hot inside. If you want to see a movie, avoid Regency and go to Pacific Theatres. They are all updated and actually care about keeping business flowing. I'm a single dad, and I take my little boy here almost weekly to see the new kids movies, and there is always a problem. Last time, the a/c wasn't working, and the time before that, the sound was glitching during the film. Today was the last straw with these failures. The last 2 times we went here, they waved us right through when I had a drink in my hand. Today, the ticket guy stopped me for having a brand new Starbucks drink in my hand, and told me outside food and drink aren't allowed - even though there is a Starbucks in the same strip mall as the theater, and they don't serve anything like what I had at the theater. I explained that it was never a problem before, and he didn't seem to care. I asked for the manager, and he ended up flagging one down because the manager on duty, Patty, didn't have her radio on her. When she came over, I explained that it was never a problem in the past (which is why I stopped at Starbucks before the movie), and that I planned on getting my son some concessions before the film. She refused service and said she could hold my coffee until after the movie, but that it was impossible for me to enter the theater with it. I understand if a business sets a strict policy, but this is the first time it was enforced and my straw wasn't even in my coffee yet. I explained that I don't have the money to just throw coffee away, and there was no time to sit outside and finish it because the movie was about to start. I also explained that we were going to purchase food and drinks for my son at their concessions stand. She didn't care. My son was extremely excited to go into the movie, and she threw us out over a cup of coffee. I used to love coming to this theater, but I'll never come back again (nor will my friend's and family), thanks to Patty. She has absolutely no idea how to manage, and doesn't have the slightest idea of what customer service means. I guess they have too much business, because I explained that I'd never be back because of this and she just smiled. read more

I enjoy going to this theater. Usually go here on Saturday nights. There are usually two people selling tickets and at times this causes a long line to form. But the line moves quickly. I would suggest they have another person working as well so it is more efficient. The ticket prices are decent. Less expensive than AMC (which I use to go to) and better seats. Concession is the same price as everywhere else. The staff is friendly and the theaters and bathrooms are clean. Movie projection and sound is great. Recommend this theater to everyone. read more

I love this cinema. It's in a shopping center. The staff are always nice, I come here often and it's always a pleasant experience no matter what time I go, I've been morning, afternoon and night, I love that no matter what there is always parking, and if you're hungry after there are plenty of eateries, from sushi, to burritos, to burgers, and if none of those work for you, there is a grocery store. They have two concessions stand which is awesome! And their restrooms are on the second floor, they have lifts if needed. read more

The popcorn area had no butter next to the register, there you find it when walk to the middle of the theatre. to get that extra butter. And the restrooms are upstairs. A ton of well lite parking....located in a very good part of town. Inside the theatre is a very clean up-to-date viewing experience. The staff are nice and the theatre is clean. My complaint is more about the seating. The theatre's seats are not elevated enough so you often have people's big heads blocking the screen. My family and I have gone to this movie theater religiously for months with the best experiences! And I've always raved about it to my frienda.. But recently, we watched the Fifth Wave and just near the ending, the power went out! I understand this isn't their fault. But, when they turned the power back on, the films continued... But without sound! They should have paused it ASAP because now we had already seen the last few minutes!!! The audio couldn't play since they only had "partial power". But all in all, this was entirely their fault, they should have definitely paused it and ensured that everything was okay and ready to go before half-assing it and ruining the movie for everyone. They acknowledged the power outage, but they didn't even think about the customer experience and reputation that they're tarnishing by ruining the movie for us visually. All the staff did was apologize. We asked for a refund but they did not even acknowledge our experience of their theater now being damaged... Not ever coming to this theater again until these people know how to be generous and understand of everyone!!! read more

OK so its not AMC (which did not take my gift-cards) its not the Mall (you risk the kids) its not Winnetka (dog sh*t is better than that place NO student discount) the ArcLight is nice but super $$$ and finally its not Edwards in Valencia which charges 14 dollars for a film. Matinee price (6 bucks) cannot be beat 1 dollar hot dogs and I smuggle candy in free refills they take student ID (8.50) I was not charged more for 3D movie they honored my vouchers ( I bought a bunch from a rep going door to door got ten great value) and my favorite ask about their POINTS CARD you just hand it over every time you pay cash or credit and you score FREE MOVIES AND FOOD I know crazy right! I only know about this because a lady in line had one they DO NOT advertise these you have to ask at the front. So far I've scored 4 free movies this past six months two free food items and one discount 3D movie. A great value. This Friday I'll be there watching hunger game with her smuggled candy and free nachos. No expiration on the free items you just swipe your card @ concessions and bam bitch free sh*t! Park in back it is dark at night (feral cats live in the parking lot just a head's up) nearly got my finger sliced up do not attempt to feed the demon spawn. Parking in the front is a massive pain in the a**. DO NOT use the restroom during the movie its upstairs you will miss a lot and DO NOT go to the ten pm showing its insane. My plan of attack I go to the first showing @11 or 1pm it's empty people even the new releases do not pull the crowds...be OUT BY 4pm school lets out and besides its after matinee. I go and eat at Baja Fresh and watch the madness begin. My apartment is five minutes away I just walk home. I they do not show indie flicks but this is the theater for the mainstream movies but I like a combination. Big shout out to the manager I was watching Carrie day before Halloween projector quits he restarts I get to finish he then lets me WATCH ANOTHER FILM chillest dude ever I'm like sweet so I hustle my butt into kiss er I mean kick ass 2. I'm walking out and concession girl asks me if I want to donate to charity I'm like umm I don't have much cash on me but its only a dollar. I give her change and pow she gives me a free voucher! So next day I'm there with my boyfriend and we split the tic 3 dollars to see Thor. Simply awesome. Not the cleanest bu the people are super nice.
