I went to Regenix when they had their office near Cedars Sinai Hospital. While I sat in their waiting room, I noticed there were no photos of patients before and after. There was however, lots of promo info and signs about all their products. When I got in the room, I asked the technician if he had photos of patients so I could see the successes. He said, "no, we don't do that. We want to keep our patients privacy". HUGE RED FLAG... and I ignored it and ended up spending $4,000 for lots and lots of snake oil. This company feels like a scam. I'm 61, my hair is thinning a bit so I thought I'd look for some solutions. This one was a mistake. I bought their starter kit for $175. It arrived with a cheesy video disk that immediately made me think scam, a home made quality video that seemed a bit slimy, pretty laughable. So I followed the directions in the video for a few weeks. It's a time consuming process but not difficult, having 4 products to apply, shampoo, cleanser, protector, and the actual treatment. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I diligently stuck to the program, but when I went to reorder, WOW. They told me the price is over $3000/yr for the product, $20/ea for these little treatment bottles that requires 3/wk. They also said it would take 2 yrs to notice improvement. So they wanted me to spend over $6000 to see if it works. Well, I don't think so. I'm not spending that much on a product pitch that feels and sounds like a scam, on the hopes it will actually work. I used Regenix for about 9 months and spent about $2500 - yikes. Well, over the course of those 9 months, I watched my hair get progressively thinner and thinner. In their "phase 2" of the program, they claim to "stabilize the thinning process, and neutralize any negative genetic factor". Sounds nice huh? Well, why did my hair get thinner and thinner from month 4 to month 9? Maybe because their product doesn't do what they claim? Yes. "Maybe" this product works for people that have some sort of hygiene issue with their hair loss. However, for guys that have male pattern baldness, I don't think so. There are too many reviews here and elsewhere that overwhelmingly demonstrate that this product is ineffective and does not do what they claim. I'm dismayed by some of the angry reviews I've read about Regenix. I don't normally post reviews but I have to set the record straight. I first visited Regenix in 2004. Their analysis showed that my follicles were a little clogged and that was causing my hair to thin. I started with a cleansing formula and I switched to their shampoo and a couple other products that supported their treatments. The first treatment formulation was followed by another analysis. With the hair follicles clean of debris, I switched over the a vitamin based formula that thickened each individual hair and booted up growth. Yes, the end result was thicker and more plentiful hair. No, they don't claim to grow hair but by creating a clean environment under my scalp, I did see regrowth because my body was now able to grow more hair unimpeded by debris. So, why am I still a client in 2018? My body and everyone's body changes! As I've aged and I'm 69 today, everyone's hair normally thins. Diet, how we metabolize food all changes with age and the impacts the health of both skin and hair. Stress levels change across one's lifetime too and stress can cause extra shedding. And keep in mind that everyone's hair goes through regular shedding periods. At least twice a year. The Regenix model of treatment prepares your scalp by first cleaning then nurturing your hair follicles so that you benefit from the regrowth that occurs after shedding. And here's the bottom line folks. You have to work with your body over time and that includes scalp! Years ago, I asked my dentist if I really needed to floss.
