I've been using Regenix for a while now, and my scalp feels much cleaner, and my hair has gotten thicker. It is definitely a game of patience, however. I do feel that they really care about me getting a good result. Although I know I wont gain back what I have completely lost, They have assured me that what I do have will get thicker and so far they have been right. I informed them I had seborrheic dermatitis in the beginning and trusted them to take care of my hair loss problem. Instead it got worse, and so did my seborrheic dermatitis. After a year of using this stuff and being assured time and again over the phone that everything I was feeling was normal, I finally got the ingredients list from them and found out that panthenol was in the mix. Allergic contact dermatitis is often triggered by panthenol. Why in the world they would put this ingredient in my formula is beyond me. I paid so much money for a treatment that only worsened my condition. My hair has grown thinner since starting, and my dermatitis flair ups have stopped since ending their treatments. I've tried to remain civil and handle this with a simple refund, but all I get are diversionary tactics. If it simply wasn't working, I wouldn't even be asking for a refund. But given the situation of the damage it's caused, I feel that a refund was the least they could do. I'm currently in talks with my lawyer, and he thinks I have a good case to ask for more than that. I'm also in talks with a good friend that happens to be a rather large social media influencer who will hopefully deliver them some much needed karma. I will simply state the details of my situation. I was starting to lose hair. It wasn't male pattern baldness but was related to a neurological issue and was accompanied by numbness feeling on the top of my head. In addition to my doctors I decided to visit Regenix for a consultation to understand what they do. Once inside the waiting room I waited about 45 minutes for the the doctor to come in. While waiting I could hear him trying to sell the Regenix related products to existing customers on the phone.. all kinds of expensive packages of their topical solutions and so forth. This is where it gets good... so the guy comes in and says he doesn't have enough time to do a full test and says they can just pull some hair and test it afterwards and call me later with results. I didn't have time to wait and said I would come back and left (the guy was arrogant and the salesman hustle/deceit shines through). Even though I left I had already filled out the initial paper work and was in their system. Well, well, well...about two weeks later I get a letter in the mail stating I was a candidate for there solutions. How nice, no hair sample, no testing, no consultation...but I qualify to buy their expensive product! I have a feeling they just send the same 'results' to anyone that visits and they forgot to document that I didn't actually leave a hair sample. Disingenuous at best....scam? you decide. read more

They must have hired a company to clear their bad reputation from some websites, I cannot find any reviews from 6 months ago when I first started investigating them. After 5 months I finally got my money back, but had to file a suspension with my credit card company. Regenix is deceitful and will lie to you repeatedly. After the initial investment of the starter kit for $175 the price explodes to several thousand dollars which they do not tell you up front nor ever disclose the ingredients. No clinical trials saying it does anything beneficial. It's a total scam. The only thing I can think of is that if you are using abrasive chemicals now, that maybe it cleans it? The solution pretty much is alcohol you pour on your scalp. I bought it for my fiancé after listening to KFI and noticing his hair thinning. After 6 months and thousands of dollars they said this is the first stage so keep buying and after a year you might see a difference. NO THANK YOU!! I rather buy products that have a clinical trial with results. They won't even tell you what is in it. They also say they tailor the product to each individual. I'm pretty sure its the same routine for every patient. I saw another review where they sent him his hair analysis back and he said he never sent one in. That sounds about right. I started using Regenix Pure Balance Shampoo, Essential Scalp Cleanser and Replenish Protein Conditioner about six months ago and notice a huge difference. My hair is much fuller and healthier than ever and I always get complements! Since I color my hair, I also use the Follicle Guard and it seems to help avoid chemical damage. I really like the supplements because they're made in CA for better quality control to specifically enrich the vitamins found in the hair, plus they're much better and less expensive than the ones in typical supplement store. I wish this posting had the same marketing budget as Regenix. Moving right along... here is my experience: I am a former customer of Regenix. They have been in business for many years for a couple of reasons: (a) they play by the book and (b) massive marketing expenditure. This is not to say their products work; to the contrary, it was a waste of both time and money (thousands of dollars over 6 months). In comparison, since my "treatment" I found Minoxidil (generic version of Rogaine), which for a 6-month supply cost less than $20 at Costco and $26 online resellers, to be much more effective. (I use mine for the front as well, with good results.) If you talk to their employees, they are former salespeople--and not from the medical field. But they know how to play by the book and will not promise to grow your hair. They are likely using a mix of products known to work (for example, Minoxidil) so that you have a diluted effect which may work on some people but considerably more expensive. They spend heavily on marketing anywhere from the expensive rent at Cedars-Sinai Medical Office Towers (location with a brand name) to heavy radio ads, using radio hosts such as Bill Handel talking about his wife. SUMMARY: (1) grow your own hair (2) get a piece and/or (3) get surgery. (1) To grow your own hair, (1a) use Minoxidil (generic Rogaine) and (1b) Finasteride (generic Propecia) that is available at 6-month supply (180 pills) for $72+5 shipping at progressiverx.com (the founder was written about in Business Week). If you feel uncomfortable using this drug, there is research that suggests 0.2mg is just as effective as 1mg (google these two words: Finasteride 0.2). You can safely slice it (to make it easy, there seems to be a product called "pill slicer," available at drugstores and major retailers); just be careful so it is not around pregnant women. (1c) To add texture to your hair, try Flex shampoo (by Revlon). 12oz bottles may be found at a dollar store; the 15oz are sold online for $2-3 (currently, drugstore.com is running a buy-one-get-one sale on Flex, making them $1.5/ea). Either way, it is much cheaper than Regenix's 1-2-3 shampoos. (2) You can get a hair piece that looks very real. It make cost $600-1500 for a high grade from someone such as hairartinc.com (Hair Art has been in business for over 30 year and are very honest). (3) You can have surgery from someone like NHI (newhair.com) or Straub Medical Center (straubmed.com) which may be good (you will have to perform your own research). It is expensive, and usually it takes multiple treatments, costing up to $20-25 thousands. The facility may recommend medications (in #1) during that time, in order to slow down hair loss between surgeries. Being an elective surgery and with a poor economy, expect discounts. Whatever you do, no matter how desperate you may be, STAY AWAY FROM REGENIX. read more

I had always had very thick hair and then last year noticed that it was thinning. I suddenly had a cowlick in the back that made me look like I had been sleeping on it all day and I work full time. I went to Regenix several years ago and the experience left such a bad taste that that I just wanted to forget about it. Regenix presents a series of half truths and outright lies. As it states on their website, their offices are located in Cedar-Sinai leaving the impression that they are somehow affiliated with Cedars for credibility. (shame on you Cedars!) In fact, they simply rent space from Cedars and could just as easily be located in Simi Valley. Second, they "evaluate" a strand of your hair under a microscope and from that they claim to be able to diagnose the health of your hair and scalp. Not true. Their overarching premise is that through the use of consistent, vigorous massage that more blood will flow to the scalp creating a cleaner scalp and better environment for hair growth. You can go to any number of credible websites or consult with a dermatologist who specializes in hair treatment (which I did) and they will all tell you this is junk science. Additionally for many hair loss conditions such as seasonal tellum effluvium and even aloepcia, hair can regenerate in time by being patient and it is precisely because of this that people feel that thy are making progress. If they did nothing they would experience the same "progress." There is a great dermatological injection treatment for aloepicia that grew back all my bald spots) at a fraction of the cost of Regenix. What Regenix does very well is UPSELL ITS PRODUCT LINE of "special" cleansers, shampoos and conditioners. You can get a very helpful prescription shampoo for next to nothing, 2% Nizoral. Minoxydol/Rogaine at 5% (for both men and women) can also slow hair loss (go to Costco.) Also, menopausal women should be aware that the DHT element in testosterone often used in HRT can trigger hair loss. read more

Agreed with Linda, below. Not sure how there aren't bad reviews of this place all over the internet. After spending a few thousand dollars and doing EXACTLY as they told me with the treatments I couldn't tell if my hair was improving: I asked if I could compare the microscope photos of my hair from early in the program to photos of my hair currently to see if there was progress, and the owner did not pull the photos up on the computer side by side. He tried to explain that my hair had made progress without comparing the photos side-by-side and the explanation was very confusing and tangential. He also told me to "call him another day" for nutrition advice that would help my hair growth, which I think is illegal, considering I don't think he's a nutritionist. Which is probably why he said he was "too busy" to give me nutrition advice in the office. When I asked if he would email the photos of my hair to me so I could study them on my own time, he said "get out of my office." It was really scary and I felt threatened, and I think this place is just bad news. :( read more

I have used Regenix for two years now. So this review should be about as informative as it gets. If you ask me if I recommend the product, I'd say "it depends". My experience is that I started noticing significant hair loss about two years ago. I got started early on Regenix, as soon as I started noticing it, and it has been a difference-maker. I don't believe there is any more or less hair on my head when I started. What has happened is that my hair is healthier, and the strands are thicker and more bold. This gives the appearance that I have more hair. I am 46 and I have better hair than most 20 year olds. My scalp always feels clean, fresh and healthy as well. The key in my eyes is to start early. If you already have a bald spot and you want it covered up, this is NOT the product for you. Go get surgery or a taupe. If your hair is thinning but you still have decent coverage on your scalp this may be the product for you. I still have a youthful face so keeping my hair was important to me. I followed their program faithfully and I have achieved the results I was hoping for. The best part about being on Regenix is that I never worry about my hair loss no matter how many strands I find in the shower drain. I know that the hair that will grow in its place will be even healthier and stronger than the ones I just lost. read more
