Serving a wide range of traditional Jamaican cuisine and catering mainly to the courthouse lunch pack, the shop is run by a really friendly Jamaican lady that will walk you through the menu and show you the wares. I asked for some spicy noise to pound back the cold Bmore winds. She recommended the goat curry platter ($8.50) which came on a bed of red beans and rice with a side of steamed cabbage and a few slices of fried plantain. The goat curry was delicious. Tender hunks of goat meat served on the bone were well flavored but not spicy at all. The sauce was great and well-textured but sadly, the red beans and rice were disappointingly flavorless. It left me trying to ration my bites with sauce and meat to flavor all the rice. The fried plantains on the other hand were the best I've ever had. Slightly gummy from caramelization on the outside, tender and smooth inside, they beat any weak bananas I ate on Spanish III field trips or even in Costa Rica. I definately will give this place another go, the jerk chicken looked ridiculous. Give this place a shot, just make sure your beans and rice get sauced up good and try 'em plaintains.

Caribbean Dynasty Restaurant & Lounge - Baltimore…read more I stopped by Caribbean Dynasty for a lunchtime bite, and the owner was pleasant. The restaurant is easy to find, with close-by paid parking. I tried the sample plate with curry chicken, white rice, and cabbage. The curry chicken was flavorful and tender -- truly delicious! The cabbage was seasoned just right, adding that authentic Caribbean touch. I was a little surprised to receive white rice instead of rice & peas (which I usually expect with Caribbean dishes), so that was a little disappointing. I was expecting $18 value platter but received a ($15) value platter. It appears it may come alive at night -- with a DJ, happy hour specials, and a lounge vibe. Overall, Caribbean Dynasty offers great flavors, friendly service for a grab a go lunch order .

We are not native to Maryland but was Hungary after the R&B event on the Water. The Restaurant was not crowded when we arrived but had to wait over an hour for our food. Our order was simple. We had 3 order of Wingettes (Lemon Pepper, Honey Lemon Pepper, Thai Chili & Old Bay), Rice & Beans, Chicken Pattie and Coco Bread. Only Wingettes worth the time was the normal Lemon Pepper. They were Fried & seasoned perfectly. They also were a decent size. The other Wingettes were overcooked and lacking flavor. Maybe they looked so small because of how overcooked they were. We waited too long to send them back and risk waiting another hour!!! I've had some delicious Honey Lemon Pepper and this had no semblance of it. I tasted some Honey & it was from the plate and not the wingette. The Rice & Beans was dry. The Chicken patty was overcooked. Never saw a burnt one in a Restaurant or at least not served to someone. We wasn't drunk enough to enjoy the food. (I don't drink so... was not working for me ). The Coco Bread was good (probably because they didn't have to cook it). The worse part is we waited over an hour!!! Yes the Waiter was apologetic but it was NOT worth the wait. What a terrible representation of a business. I can't understand a bad night when this is what you do for a living. Just was not good. It's the worst restaurant I've been to. I do not recommend.

The restaurant is so cute with the decor and the music transported me back to Jamaica. As my coworkers I were seated, we were immediately greeted. Service was great and our waitress was super patient. We ordered most of our food and drinks from the HH menu and the. ordered entrees. For drinks, i had the 'Oh My Lychee' Martini and my coworkers had the Hibiscus Margaritas. From the HH menu, We ordered the salmon bites, grilled jerk wings, and jam jam shrimp. We left no stone unturned. The drinks were strong and refreshing, food was hot and amazing and the music was excellent-vibes were there. For entrees, we ordered jerk chicken and oxtails with coco bread. By the time the entrees came, we were stuffed. It was a great experience. Every time I'm in white marsh for work, I stop by. It's so worth it!

Taste of the oxtails and sauce was very flavorful and had a small kick. The sauce went will with the rice too. Coming from an Asian background and someone who has eaten oxtail in different styles I approve this dish. I just wish oxtail portions were a bit more for the price being charged. Fair warning this dish was a bit pricey ($41 after tax), and many things in the restaurant are on the higher end. If you've never tried oxtail or are looking for a unique dish I highly recommend trying this place. Also as a non-Maryland resident this place was definitely a bit of a culture shock for me, so just a heads up for those who are not used to being at these kind of areas to be aware, maybe come with a friend. Overall 8.5/10

The menu marks spicy dishes, but not "white people" spicy. If you don't handle spice well, I recommend looking into jerk and curry flavored dishes before coming. I wish they had their full menu online because I like to get a sense of what I want before I arrive. Our appetizer was coconut shrimp. I am used to bland coconut shrimp but the shrimp here had a strong and fresh coconut flavor. My father in law had salmon with lemon butter, plantains, jasmine rice. He said everything was amazing. I ordered a Yardie Stack, which is a sandwich with a Jamaican patty of choice (I chose chicken), baked mac and cheese, and oxtail gravy on coco bread. Served with fries. The Jamaican patty was a little spicy but the sweetness of the bread and other flavors melded suspiciously well. That was a lovely sandwich. Fries were sub par but everything else was beyond any expectations I had, even the cabbage medley. My wife ordered fried chicken and I nearly bit my lip trying it. It melted when my teeth touched it and it exploded with juice. It took awhile to get food but they were swamped and it was worth it. My father in law also said the bread pudding is great and bought a slice to take home. The disappointing fries are a reason to be more adventurous and try the other foods. This was the best Jamaican/Caribbean food I've ever had.
