1 Jerk Crab Cake Rice & Peas Cabbage Medley

We had a great time at Judys! They had karaoke when we got there. If that's not your vibe just check before going. But we loved it and the bar service was perfect. We got the jerk crab cake and it came with sides. We chose the cabbage and rice. That was the best cabbage dish I've had! So much flavor. The crabcake was fried but we didn't say how to cook it and it was delicious. The jerk sauce was spicy and rich! Paired with a red stripe for that Jamaican style! Loved it and have been back since. Must try that cabbage! So good!

Came in for a quick Monday dinner pit stop. Always love a refreshing ginger pineapple juice. The bartender and team were quite personable and kind. The energy is welcoming and makes it feel like a family member's dining space.

Jamaican stew beef with mac and cheese/rice and peas. Very good!

We came in on a Saturday night and were pleased to experience a musician performing regagge-inspired covers of classics. The bartender was extremely friendly, attentive, and responsive. The food was quite good. I had beef patties (they're freshly made in house daily!) and the stew beef with mac and cheese and rice and peas. The rice and peas were a little bland for my taste but everything else? Incredible. The one con is that the bathroom was not as neat as it could have been. I will return gladly though.

So, my Jamaican food needs are different than most. I realized early on I am not the type of person who enjoys picking bones and such out of my food while I'm eating. And that's kinda the whole deal with Jamaican food due to how they cut the meat. Thus, what I order is rice and peas with sauce from whatever other dish(es) available, like jerk chicken or brown stew beef. If I'm lucky, I get some potatoes and carrots in the sauce over my rice and peas, and I also order 1-2 beef patties. This occurred my visit to Judy's on 8/32, I was able to get 2 beef patties with rice and peas plus sauce from whatever beef dish they had. The rice and peas + sauce was excellent. The patties were OK, they were oddly flat, and I didn't finish the 2nd one. Overall, decent food tho. The venue was well lit and clean, staff was friendly and efficient (and had some excellent music playing). I'd definitely return.

Delicious food and vibes galore. I enjoyed dining in at Judy's in Canton during the holiday season. I had the Rasta Pasta and Curry Chicken patty. Both were fire and I actually made the trip from Columbia to pick up some patties during a random craving maybe a week later. The customer service also gives everything it needs to here! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, especially if you have questions about the menu or drink offerings. 10 out of 10 for me!

We had an excellent experience at Judy's! I'm picky about my jamaican food, but this place did not disappoint. I was a bit hesitant because of the mixed reviews, but we really enjoyed the service and our meals. The manager , Geneva, was super welcoming and checked on the tables and bar patrons multiple times. We ordered the jerk chicken meal and the oxtail , both were outstanding ! The chicken was falling off of the bone and cooked perfectly! Oxtail was super flavorful- I had to ask for extra oxtail gravy for my rice because it was THAT good! They have various island cocktails on the menu and we got the rum punch and rasta mule. Both were really good.

This is about my 5th time ordering food via DoorDash. Every time I order my curry & jerk chicken /w rice & peas and cabbage it's been delicious. My orders are always packed with food. I recently changed up my order and did curry chicken and oxtail... I wasn't super happy about the oxtail, they were more fatty than meat. But, I'll stick with my usual and def continue ordering from Judy's.

The salmon bites sauce was tasty. The salmon bites aren't fried, which can be considered a good thing. I am used to salmon bites being fried. The girl that took the order was friendly but she seemed stressed or overwhelmed. The vibe was off. The rice and peas were dry and lacked flavor. Maybe it was an off day for them.

Judy's Island, located at the plush Baltimore harbor area,in the city of Baltimore. I bought some Clients from Europe for lunch today Friday 9/13/2024. They loved the food, the vibe, the flavor and the chef and service was outstandingly awesome. I met the supervisor of the restaurant DERRICKA herself. She was pleasant, friendly and very attentive to detail to the needs of my European clients. I will highly recommend this place JUDY's Island Grill to anyone who visits Baltimore and wants a one of the best Jamaican and Caribbean restaurant to dine, relax and have a great time. Lets get into ittt. I ordered the Oxtail platter to-go and paid $26 (the app states a different price, not sure why, but this is what I paid specifically). I ordered White Rice and Cabbage as my sides. Everything was so good, the oxtail was cooked JUST right. I just wish there was a tad more seasoning, like some sort of kick to it. It was still very delicious though and would definitely return for more. I can't really speak on the service because I placed a to-go order. The ambiance of the restaurant was very chic. Sort of like a modernized and fancier spin on a beach hut. It was really cute. Overall, will definitely be returning.

I went for happy hour and the food was good. I had the oxtail tacos and oxtail quesdillas. I had the rum punch and strawberry henny and I enjoyed that as well. The service was friendly and accurate. The decor was a island vibe. I had a good time.

No bartender in sight, no other patrons, no background noise. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we were in the right place. The bar is down a flight of stairs, tucked into the basement, and it's notable because it's Fells Point's only and possibly first basement bar, which already gives it serious character points. We waited near the bar for a few minutes, heard nothing, saw no one, and eventually started heading back up the stairs to leave. That's when Steve, the bartender, literally came after usnot in a weird way, but in a very human, "Hey! Sorry about that, I was in the stock room come back in!" way. And honestly? From that moment on, the experience completely flipped. Steve was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. He's worked there for 18 years, and once we sat down, he turned the bar into a living history lesson. He shared stories about Fells Point, Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe, the building itself, and all the ghost stories tied to the space. He also told us about the celebrities who've passed through, including the fun detail that Blake Shelton once sat in the very bar stool I was sitting in and ordered a Bullet bourbon. Naturally, that kind of trivia just adds to the charm. Drink-wise, I ordered an Angry Orchard, and my friend had a single Tito's with cranberry and soda water. Our total was $26.16, which feels pretty standard for Baltimore definitely not cheap, but not shocking either. The bar itself is small, intimate, and packed with atmosphere exposed brick, low ceilings, and that cozy, historic, slightly haunted vibe you hope for in a basement bar. It's also connected to The William Fell Inn hotel through a separate entrance, which makes it feel like a hidden secret rather than a tourist stop. We loved the history, the stories, the ghosts, the setting and especially Steve. Being the only patrons that night was actually a gift, because it let us really soak it all in. That said, we're absolutely planning to come back on a busy night to see how the energy shifts when it's full. If you love historic bars, good storytelling, and places that feel like they've seen things Anchor Bar is a must. ‍

Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced... this is the kind of drink that reminds me why I started my little espresso martini passport in the first place. It was giving luxury, it was giving intention, it was giving I need another one immediately. For food, I started with the crudo, which was super fresh and beautifully done -- light, bright, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. Then I had the scallops, and this is where they really won me over. Perfectly cooked, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth... just one of those dishes you don't want to end. The whole experience felt elevated without being stuffy -- gorgeous waterfront vibes, amazing service, and food and drinks that actually deliver. The whiskey selection is impressive--this was actually my first time trying Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year, and it was incredibly smooth. If you're a whiskey drinker, you'll appreciate how extensive the selection is here. The bar menu is also surprisingly strong. I highly recommend the burger, and the crab cake is made with real lump meat--not imitation!!! The bartender was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations throughout the night.
