Guess what business opened locally today? Hubby was given a menu and flyer while shopping at another business within the same shopping center by Kim earlier, and he was so excited. Although he had already made dinner, he wanted us to visit TONIGHT. We visited. We walked in and was instantly greeted by Fiona, who was more than patient and knowledgeable w all of our questions and indecisiveness. Great service!! We were greeted by several employees/ managers while we waited. They quoted a 10-minute wait. Our food was ready before 10 minutes. We ordered the Jerk Chicken (white meat), Curry Chicken Patty, and Triple Mix. Great portion sizes, well seasoned, plated well, and plentiful. While we devoured our food, the owner came out to greet us. Once we finished eating, he came over to ask our thoughts of the visit and asked if anything could be improved. I patronized this business for years in Randallstown. I'm so happy they're finally in Reisterstown. They sit next to Walgreens and because it's in the shopping center, there's plenty of parking. At the time I went, around 5pm on Thursday it wasn't crowded like the one in Randallstown usually is. I was pleasantly greeted and ordered my fav a Stir Fry Plus with Shrimp. The stirfry comes with rice and peas, plantains, and a plethora veggies. The shrimp add an extra deliciousness and of course, protein to the dish. So flavorful and delicious and very filling . Usually I only eat half, which is great because I have some for the next day. They have plenty of fresh drinks such as sorrel, fruit punch, pineapple and ginger drinks along with a variety bottle drinks. They also have a large variety of patties. Of course they have the traditional beef patties, but they also have chicken, spinach and other veggie options. I have never tried desserts, but they have a variety ofcakes and other Island delights if you want to indulge your sweet tooth. If you're in the mood for some good Caribbean food, this is your spot. Y'all know how some Jamaican restaurants are little spicy when you order or if you have an issue with your order...NOT THIS LOCATION. This is the warmest location that I've ever been to that sold Jamaican cuisine first I wanna say the young lady who takes the order is very pleasant and appears super friendly and that's always great when you feel welcomed. I had a minor issue with my food, but the supervisor corrected it and made it right and that's something that I truly appreciate because the last thing I wanna do is go back-and-forth with someone who is making my food. My family and I frequent this restaurant quite often so there is no denying that the food is amazing. I just really appreciate how they took accountability and corrected the issue. The food is incredible. Worth the $$ and then some. My wife and I had heard that this place had recently opened and wanted to give it a try. We ventured in on a Friday night and there were a few small tables with people who looked very content eating their food. We grabbed a printed menu and tried to figure out what we wanted. I was a little sticker shocked at first with the prices thinking that I had to order food, then pay separately for sides, not realizing that each main course came with a LOT. We walked up to order and they told us about the specials and asked if we had tried them before, said no, and they gave us a sample -- knew immediately we needed more. We ordered way too much food and could not be happier. Best Jerk Chicken we have ever had. The soup and curries were out of this world. The plantains were perfection. Rice and peas and yellow rice were just what we needed. This place will now be in our regular rotation of amazing food in the Reisterstown area. You MUST try it. read more

The oxtail was great, meat was really tender. I will order again. Thanks for the free drink. I was disappointed with the curry. The steak was hard to chew, almost burnt. It is almost more like a vegetable curry with a little bit of steak. You can improve this dish. read more

I waited months for the opening. West Indian food is one of my favorites. Ordering online was easy. It seemed like they were offering quite a bit of food for lunch, which included a drink. When I got there, the portions were very small. Lunch specials are in a very small container. 3/4 of the contents were rice and peas. Everything tasted great, just wish there were more of it. The included drink is about 4-5 oz and they fill the cup to the brim with ice. The service was fine. Food is not that expensive. increasing the contents with items other than rice would make your offer a lot more satisfyiing. read more

Nice, new spot in Reisterstown. Came during lunch to grab a to go order. I was not familiar with the menu and didn't realize that they had lunch specials until after I placed my order. I went back to the register to understand the difference between what I ordered and the special. Realizing that lunch came with a drink and a smaller portion, I wished I had ordered lunch instead. The manager had a "make it right" attitude and resolved my concern. In the restaurant business customers first come for the food but we return for the customer service! I tried this place and loved the stew brown Chicken, with coconut rice and beans and veggies! Great Meal ! The second visit , must have had a different chef, the rice was not as good. I will continue to support them , but look for more consistency with each order. I was saddened that there was no patties, no coco bread , or festival. I always come to the island Quizine in Owings mills because they are spot on! Everything is made to perfection and the customer service is very welcoming. Thanks to the head Chef Richard for cooking the kidney and beans meal. As well as Ruth who greeted me and took my order with care. Nice waiting area! But Nope I will stick to my liberty rd location! Okay to start I tried calling to place my order ahead of time being as though my lunch break is only 30 mins. The line had an automatic machine that was saying they are busy and can't take my call try again later, which went on for a hour prior to me arriving. (The place wasn't busy when I arrived) since it was one person ahead of me paying I called the establishment one more time while inside to see if it would happen again! It did! The Young lady Shenelle greeted me and asked if she could help me. I kindly spoke back and told her my order (tropical catfish lunch special) with extra sauce on my cabbage and rice as well! I then asked about it being an issue with their lines. And told her about the machine I was getting. She explained that their phones are difficult and nobody know how to hang them up correctly and apologized! I patiently waited for my food as she stated it would be about 15 mins in which it was about that timeframe. When I received my food Shenelle asked if I would like the lemonade or raspberry tea that come with my lunch special and that I had a choice to have it mixed. I went with the mix! Now everyone know when u mix basically its half & half. She did 75% tea and was about to do the rest lemonade. I kindly asked if she could do equal parts she said to me "that's what I'm doing" I kindly in my most respectful vc told her it wasn't that's a lot of tea! She turned her back sucked her teeth did a dramatic pause and then poured what she mixed into another cup and remade it correctly. I thanked her and told her I appreciate it! Lastly before stepping away from the register I checked my order. No sauce on my rice only my cabbage. Cool no big deal I'll just ask for a little more on the side at this point! (Which I always do at the liberty rd location and they always do with no problem) Sad I even bothered to ask that because Shannell said that is wasn't no more!
