Reggie's Barber Emporium saved me because I had just flown in to Chicago from Los Angeles, and they were able to get me an appointment on such short notice. Dale was very professional and precise with my haircut. I asked for a mid fade on the sides and a comb over on top, with a hard part. I also asked for a beard trim and line up. I was more than satisfied with how the cut and beard came out and the guys there were nothing but good vibes. Was in town before a recruitment event and direly in need of a cut + edge up. I looked around Chicago and felt good about this place. Reggie hooked it up! I made an appointment at 10pm the night before and he was ready to go at 8am. Apparently they only take cash on Fridays, and since I never carry cash, Reggie walked me down to the ATM to get some. He even offered to cover the ATM fee - but we ended up just venmoing so it all worked out. The cut was solid - he got me ready for exactly what I needed to do and shaped up the beard nice! It is always refreshing to see someone take so much pride in their work after 20+ years of running outta a suite in the big city. Went to Reggie's Barber Emporium on the 7th floor of 111 N. Wabash and I was impressed. I made an appointment online ahead of time. Upon entering not only was I greeted respectfully, but by the owner himself. The environment is very relaxed and there is always a good conversation being had. Dehrek, one of the barbers took care of me and listened to what I wanted. And not only did he listen, but he delivered. I am very satisfied with my haircut. The price was fair for a downtown location and the great work/art that was produced. I would recommend it. I for one would/will go again. read more

Wow wow wow!! I had made an appointment online and was running late. When I got there Reggie was so understanding! As soon as I walked in I felt this amazing energy. Easy to make an appointment. That's the only positive. The worst haircut I got in years. Asked for a simple trim. Received a clipper haircut. No blending between layers using scissors. Hair is left at random length in patches. Online reservation system quoted price $30. In person got charged $35. Online system said appointment was with Reggie. Actual barber is Jeremy. I went to Reggie's Barber and the atmosphere for great. All the guys made me feel good as a woman entering into there surroundings. Reggie, was kind, professional, loving to me. About a month ago, I went to Denmark Barber College and a guy name Jeremy cut my hair. I have natural curly hair. He completed messed my hair up. The Hispanic lady (Denmark Barber) knew this young man was not suitable for a professional woman as myself to cut my hair. The young man damaged my hair badly but God sent a ram in a bush (Reggie). He explained how to train my hair back for it to grow properly. Reggie, cut my hair so beautifully and arched my eyebrows. The guys were hilarious and its a fun shop to be a part. My boyfriend and I were visiting the Chicago area for a few days; While we were sightseeing in the city, he decided he wanted to get a trim and lined up. We found Reggie's online and began to search for the address on foot. Thankfully we only had to walk a few blocks. Finding the location wasn't that easy, we walked around the same city block twice before finding it. We didn't realize it was in a huge building on the 7th floor. Once inside however, our adventure was all uphill from there. We were greeted by all the barber's. The atmosphere was super relaxed and inviting even if you weren't a local or frequent customer. I don't remember the name of our barber, but he was super laid back and listened to what my boyfriend wanted done. He took his time and paid attention to the little details that make a proper haircut good. We left more than pleased from the service, and my boyfriend looked more handsome than ever. P.S. My wife and I are from South Mississippi, and were vacationing in Chicago over the weekend. I badly needed a haircut and thought it would be fun having my hair cut in a big city (and for the first time ever outside of Mississippi). I chose Reggie based on his Yelp reviews. I'm glad I did. I stopped by on Saturday and was greeted by everyone in the shop with a welcoming and friendly vibe, just as described by the other reviewers. I lucked up, as he was able to schedule me into his busy Saturday. When I returned for my appointment, I told him to do whatever he wanted with my hair, and he happily took over. Then I got lost in warm and lively conversation as he worked on my hair. The conversation was uplifting and engaging, and when he was finished with my hair, I felt as if I had known him for years. And I love what he did with my hair, which my wife has complimented numerous times.
