I needed to get "cleaned up" for a funeral and my usual barber wasn't available. Went online and…read moresaw this location and was able to book a hair and beard trim appointment during my lunch break. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. The barbers were dressed professionally and very friendly. While the decor was what I would expect in a barber shop, I think the antique/classic barber chairs was a sign that this wasn't just another barbershop. You don't have those unless you love your profession. I was assigned to Chase, who cut his lunch break short even though I was the one who was 15 minutes early. I explained how I would like my hair and beard trimmed, and he went to work. He took his time and recommended several style changes for my approval before trimming. I'm not one for small talk during a haircut, but the barbers working that day were having an open conversation and I felt relaxed enough to even join the conversation, which is totally not me. But it definitely helped the time pass quickly and made the experience more enjoyable. Once done, Chase spun me around for a view in the mirror, and I thought he did a fantastic job. But the real approval would be made by my wife, who was waiting in the car. She liked it so much, she suggested that I change my barber. So, while it wasn't my intention, looks like Chase will have a new client. The prices here are a little higher than what I usually pay, but with the quality of work, it's well worth the price. It was really refreshing to find a barbershop that was open not to just cut hair, but to find people who understand and enjoy their craft.

Okay, so if anybody out there is a fan of the movie Grease, and you love beauty-school drop out,…read morethen you will ADORE Cost Cutters (if you didn't guess, that was sarcasm). I went there a couple weeks ago for a hair cut. Normally I go to a salon, but I figured, hey, why don't I save myself a couple bucks and get a hair cut at a cheaper place since I only wanted a TRIM. So I go to Cost Cutters with my friend and I'm like, sweet! $13.95 for a trim! Very nice. But then, when I realized that they don't even shampoo your hair, I was becoming a little skeptical. My friend ended up getting her hair cut first, and the lady sprayed her hair to make sure it was wet before she cut it, and her hair cut ended up turning out fine. But me, I ended up with some beauty-school drop out girl who looked mad at the world. When she was done cutting the guys hair before me, she didn't even ask me if I was there for a hair cut. So when she finally realized I was there for a hair cut, she sat me in the chair, and I strictly told her that I wanted a TRIM. I'm pretty sure she didn't even know what the word trim meant. She cut my hair completely dry, all of my layers where CHOPPED and completely UNEVEN, and my bottom layer wasn't even, either. You know, I finally got my hair how I wanted it, and she butchered it. If you are thinking about getting a cheap hair cut, definitely DO NOT go to Cost Cutters. If you think you're getting a deal for a $13.95 hair cut, think again! Save up your money and go to a salon where the stylists did not drop out of beauty school. And for the record, I give Cost cutters no stars, but yelp is making me give them at least one.

I love this Dry Bar location and my stylist, Kiana! Parking is always easy, the shop is bright,…read morespotless, and welcoming and the movies are always on point. Most importantly, I adore Kiana. She is a gifted stylist with all hair, but she is an expert with curly, thick and textured hair. Keiana's blowouts will last 10-14 days (sometimes longer) if you wrap them up a night (iykyk). Keiana works wonders with my daughter's 4C hair, which makes mom and daughter happy. I bring products that I know work well with our hair and get great results! Two Thumbs up for Dry Bar Highland and Kiana!

Dishonest and bad business I was completely dissatisfied…read morewith DryBar Scherville, IN. The first time we went my 17-year-old daughter wanted a silk press for her hair. We went because they were offering a first timers discount. Her hair was pressed straight it looked nice and 2 hours later it was a big poof and her scalp was seriously dry with flakes. A few weeks later she wanted to try it again because she liked how it looked when it was straight and we needed something quick for an event. She went in and spoke to someone about it and came back to tell me they had a membership which would make it cheaper. I informed her I did not want her to get in a long contract with anyone because of her age and if the second time was like the first it would be a waste of money. She went in and informed them of my concerns and came back and asked me to call. (I was unable to walk because of a fractured hip otherwise would have gone in). I called and was told that she could cancel at any time there was no minimum time for the membership. She (again 17) signed up and the second time was a different stylist with the same results. A week later she tried to cancel and was told she had to keep the membership for 3 months. I was upset because that was not what I was told. She ended up paying for another 2 months. Because she paid, I wanted to make sure that she got what she paid for. Today she went for one of the credits they did her hair she came out and said they now said she had to use both credits because of the thickness of her hair. She had the same thickness the first 2 times but because they don't want to do right, they told her at checkout she had to use both credits. $90 to shampoo, blow-dry and straighten her hair, if we paid the regular price, it would not have been $90 it had never been more because of the thickness of her hair. Bad business. Then when I called to speak someone, it keeps going to voicemail, but she said there are receptionist in there they let the phone ring and go to voicemail then call you back. I don't like bad business. I am going to review them on every site I can because this is bad business and they are double charging her because she is no longer coming back but she has the credits. Bad business and dishonest for sure.

(At no charge) So now I have a black chunk in the front And for whatever reason I only received $125 back.
