I did not want my son to repeat "4 year old " school. St. David's also has an outdoor program called "K-Wild" which is an outdoor school 2 days a week before his regular school. Literally you would dress the kids for the climate and they would be outside. With both of these options I knew that St. David would be a perfect fit. Last year I had both kids at St. David's and quickly realized I found my place. This is my 3rd preschool I have attended and by far the most warm, loving and nurturing. I love how Ms. Eugenia shows me the best way to transition my son into the new environment and comforts him when I drop him off. He still cries but I can see improvement. They also often tell me about his day when I run into them for pick up and tell me little stories about him with enthusiasm. You can tell they really care! The new director Emily, is always attentive and knows how to run the show. She's hands on when there are even minor issues, like wi-fi (nothing serious), and notifies parents immediately. The teachers are very caring and try their best to get the child to participate without pushing. The teachers ask tons of questions about your kid to see what you do at home that they can do to make them feel comfortable. My son has been in daycare since he was 10 months old (at a different school). The director/principal, Marilynn is extremely sweet and cares about the kids. Ms. Shannon was helpful with the process and has been our second eyes in terms of the activities that they offer. Although my son likes gymnastics, it may not be his top 5 . His teachers Ms. Ramita and Ms. Christy have been amazing. Providing recommendations on how to help with the new school transition as well as offering my son various options during drop off to make drop off easier on him.
