I switched my daughter to Winwood about two years ago. When enrolling her at Winwood, I spoke with Ms. Beth about the facility the care that my daughter would receive. She welcomed a very high strung mother into the Winwood family, and from day one has been extremely understanding of my need to be involved with my daughter's care. No matter what the situation, she has always put me at ease and offered advice. ( Sick days, biting advice, better ways to communicate with children, pediatrician offices, places to trick or treat, you name it) I frequently call during the day to see how her day is going, and her teachers have always been considerate and honest about her day. She is now in the preschool class and has a one of a kind relationship with her teacher Ms. Sonia. Over the last seven months, Ms. Sonia has spent an incredible amount of time talking to me about my daughter's development, how she is enjoying the class, and even recommends things that she might like, like toys, games, art projects, and activities in the area. Finding a daycare is so hard, but I know when I leave for work that I am leaving her in the best possible care. She has the most loving teachers who have made their classroom an environment full of learning and compassion. No daycare is perfect, but this location strives for it. read more

First, my little one absolutely LOVES school, he asks me everyday including Saturday and Sunday why there is no school? It was also expressed on my little ones first week there that the teachers are "like mommy, they help me & are really nice" which as a mom, I don't think there is a more comforting thing to hear from your child while starting at a new school. I had a hard time with sending my little one to school as every mom does, but the care and attention the kids receive is amazing and I can't thank all of the staff enough for providing a nurturing / fun place for my child to learn in. We've noticed big changes and and always comes home and shows us new things that they learned that day, the excitement my child expresses when showing us , just confirms we 100% made the right choice. There is not a better school out there, it doesn't exist! So from a nervous mom, who has never been away from her child, I thank both Beth, Jess & the teachers at Winwood for providing a safe, nurturing, fun place for my child to learn. When my wife and I first found out we were pregnant, we immediately starting looking at options for daycare. We visited a number of daycares as well as interviewed a number of nannies that would work in our home. We decided on the Winwood at Lansdowne for two major reasons: 1) Convenience - It is close to our home and has excellent hours; 2) Ratings and Recommendations - Winwood had great ratings online and two people we know highly recommended them. Our daughter has now been at Winwood for 18 months and we couldn't have made a better decision. The teachers are absolutely amazing. The management at Winwood couldn't be better. What can I say about Winwood Lansdowne? I looked at all possibilities with a 15-20 minute drive from me and I never had the warm and fuzzys for any place. Either I walked in and I heard kids screaming or didn't have a warm reception from staff or it was smelly and dirty. The list could go on and on. Once I walked in to Winwood I had that warm and fuzzy feeling. The staff has been unbelievable to both of my children. I wanted a place where I felt that the teachers and staff would do their best to keep my kids safe, make them feel loved and teach them the academics they needed. I have that here! Winwood Lansdowne has been an incredible part of both of our kids lives. We have experiences everything from the newborn baby room to Pre K to after school care and to summer camp for our oldest. I can say without a shadow of a doubt it was best decision we made for our kids and family. The TEAM at Winwood Lansdowne is just that, a team of loving, caring teachers and friends that helped guided us and preparing our children for each stage in life. Our children have gone to Winwood for about 5 years and we couldn't be happier. The attention and care the front office gives is wonderful. The activities provided keep my child's interest and are very fun. The extra activities provided by outside vendors (book fair, playball, special guest fire truck, etc) also enrich my child's experience. The teachers are always willing to work with me when adjusting to my child's needs as well. The lunch menu also has gotten even better over the years and my child looks forward to many new foods now.
