We highly recommend the Goddard school located in Ashburn. Our son has been part of the infant class for almost a year and during that time, we have noticed nothing but great things. We reviewed about 20 other daycare centers in the area as part of our selection process, and this was the only place that we felt was the best environment for our son to be taken care of and excel. The staff is very attentive and loving, they focus on the well-being of the kids and work with parents as kids go transitional phases and accomplish new milestones. The entire staff is amazing (Alice, Debbie, Ms. Rehnu, Ms. Josephine "Grandma", Ms. Ramita, and Ms. Sorna) and has become our second family. Our son was sick a few times in the past year, including hospital visits due to a bad allergic reaction, and during those times I have received phone calls/e-mails from the teacher (Ms. Rehnu) and Director, Alice, expressing their concern. As first time parents this means a lot to our family. Director Alice has even become an adopted mother just from our daily interactions with her and her genuine concern towards our family - she is truly amazing! Earlier this year, there was a new teacher that came on board for the infant class - Ms. Rehnu. At first, our family was concerned with the change but she has been exceptional. Her curriculum and interaction with the kids speaks volume. Management did a great job in selecting her! Ms. Rehnu and Ms. Josephine "Grandma" are a great team because you get a combination of the school environment but the grandmother cuddles!! They teach the kids new songs, read books, take them outside to play, and have daily projects that consists of coloring, painting, etc. They also provide daily pictures and progress reports that help know that your child is doing great and in great hands. I cannot speak for other Goddard Schools, but this one, I highly recommend to anyone. While the cost may be slightly more than other places, it is worth it. I am glad I found it, otherwise, I might have seriously considered not returning to work after my maternity leave and staying at home with my child. Thank you! read more

Being referred to the Goddard was such a GIFT! We looked at a couple different private kindergartens for our then 4 year old daughter, we always made sure our daughter visited the schools because we were able to tell so much from her reaction there, her interactions with the directors, teachers, kids, etc - the overall experience was completely different at the Goddard, right off the bat she felt very confortable, which as parents, made us feel good about the school as well. While we discussed every SINGLE THING with the director, a kindergarten teacher assested her and let us know what to work on with her to bring her up to speed (we were honest and told her she came from a kindercare that didn't focus much on phonics - it was more of a daycare). Without their knowing whether we'd enroll her or not they offered guidence and packets to work on over the summer in order to get her ready for the kindergarten we decided on. Leaving the center, we knew this was the school we wanted for our daughter to attend, the center is so well kept and organized, everyone we interacted with great and they are so geniune when it comes to best interest of our daugher. 6 months later, we are still 100% happy with our decision, the kindergarten teacher is fantastic, her communication with us is AMAZING! The kids are always engaged, my daughter went from not being able to sound out every letter of the alphabet in June to doing better than imagined on spelling tests and she very excitedly started reading Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham - all by the end of November. They also cater to the parents by putting great shows and activities together, lunches with the kids. I'm one of those parents that likes to be as involved as possible and the teacher lets me sit in every now and then for their morning routine. :) If you're looking for a school that will help your child excel in a very comfortalble environment, look no further than the Goddard. If you let them know your goals, they will work with you in every way to achieve them while ensuring the kids, teachers and parents are HAPPY 100% of the time. read more

Our daughter started with Goddard last school year at the age of 3 and since then she has flourished tremendously. I have a friend whose daughter attends a Montessori school and my daughter is just as advanced if not more based on the education she is getting from Goddard. She absolutely loves going to school and on many occasions, tells me to go home and come back later when I arrive to pick her up. She talks about her teachers constantly and tells me how much she loves them. As far as her happiness goes, we couldn't have picked a better place. My husband and I are also extremely happy with Goddard. The owner and the directors know every parents name and their child which to me is fantastic since there are so many faces they see every day. The teachers show a genuine interest in your child's well being and you can tell they truly care about each and every child they teach. My daughter moved into the pre-k class this year and her former teacher still comes by every morning to hug her and tell her to have a good day. The school is very clean, and sanitary. They follow state licensing rules to a T and they have a terrific biometric security system that leaves me feeling at ease knowing my children are safe and sound. We loved Goddard so much that we decided to take our 8 month old son from the home daycare he was attending to start with Goddard. He too has grown so much. He is currently in the infant (Cubs) class room. The infant teachers are wonderful. Unlike so many other schools, the babies don't sit around in swings or chairs all day. The teachers are always interacting with them and keeping them busy. Overall we can't say enough wonderful things about Goddard. A special shout out to Ms. Debbie and Ms. Mary in the Panda room. There's no possible way that I can adequately express what this school has meant to our family. If I could give them more stars, I would. After an experience with my child in a different preschool that just wasn't a right fit and where she was just unhappy almost every single day, our experience at Goddard has really turned things around. When we were searching for new options, we visited several preschools in the area. From the very beginning, the communication with the directors was amazing. They listened very carefully to our concerns and hopes for fit. We visited in February/March 2017 and ended up enrolling in the Pandas class (a pre-K/junior K class) for an August start. We were invited to bring our child in for short visits during the weeks prior to her official start at the school and, honestly, from day 1 she has been happy, thriving, and looking forward to school every single day. The teachers in this room are a PERFECT balance of discipline and academics in preparation for Kindergarten and love, fun, and play that kids need at this age. The teachers and staff have been very helpful and respectful with specific needs and requests that we have had based on our prior school experience. We love the communication that comes in the form of several daily emails with pictures showing what the kids are working on that day. Everyone's experience and needs are different, but I can confidently say that the staff and teachers of this school will show the utmost care for helping your child to be successful, happy, and confident in their early school experience. read more

Our family has had the most satisfying and fulfilling experience at The Goddard School. We really feel that our children (almost 5, 3, and 1.5) are getting the best possible experience. Each one of our kids has started at The Goddard School as an infant. The amazing and nurturing staff in the infant room (Cubs) has given us a great level of comfort in dropping off our babies. The teachers are really wonderful and We always feel that our kids have received fantastic care. It's always difficult to start sending the kids to school when the babies are young, but I trust the school and the teachers implicitly. I'm impressed each time my older children come home and show me something they've learned at school. The teachers continue to find unique ways to emphasize the themes and skills for the day/week. The teachers are experienced and educated and exceed my expectations in so many ways. They often teach ideas that I could never have come up with myself. Our kids are really prepared for their upcoming school years. Electronic daily reports, pictures and school correspondence always have us "in the loop" on our kids daily lives. The teachers, administrators and owners are dedicated to ensuring that we have the best possible experience and are constantly making sure that we feel they are exceeding expectations. I recommend this school because of its family atmosphere, genuine care for the well-being of the children, high standards, and flexibility and willingness to recognize and fix shortcomings. First, the family atmosphere. I did not realize how fantastic the atmosphere was until my oldest left the kindergarten class and started in public school. For my kids that attended Goddard, I recognized and trusted the other parents and my kids always felt a connection to other parents as well. Second, the care for the kids was obvious. My kids attended for several years and with each teacher I had no doubt about their good intent. I also appreciated that caring for my kids also meant doing what was best for them, even when my children did NOT want to do something. This also gets to the high standards. The kindergarten class in particular is quite rigorous, and many days my children would complain about the hard work, but I was impressed at their ability. Lastly, and probably the most important factor for me giving them a 5-star rating, is their honesty and willingness to be candid when they are working through challenges. No person or organization is perfect, but Ms Alice in particular has always been candid when i have asked difficult questions and told me how she is addressing something. I highly recommend this school. My children have learned much and still maintain friendships even after students have left. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but thought it was time to write one for this Goddard School since they have been a huge part of our lives since 2010. There are many reasons why we love The Goddard School, especially this Goddard School, but I will just list a few. Besides from their great curriculum and clean classes, the teachers and staff members are very friendly and loving. They seem to truly care for the children and they make you feel like family. The Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers are AWESOME (we LOVE them!) and they make learning fun!!! Both our boys started when they were babies and were there all the way through Kindergarten. The Kindergarten class definitely setup our oldest son to be successful in first grade. Our youngest is currently there in the Kindergarten class and he is loving it! They learn to read and spell in fun and creative ways which help them in their weekly spelling tests. They also learn how to build robots, learn how to play chess, and most importantly learn how work with others. We also love how Ms. Bridget teaches them other life lessons like how to be a good friend, greetings and salutations, and how to express their feelings. We will truly miss The Goddard School after our youngest graduates Kindergarten this summer. It will be a bitter sweet moment and an end of an era for us. read more

If I could give this school ten stars, I would. What an amazing place! First let me start by saying how wonderful the director, Ms. Alice is. She's a lovely person who truly cares about the well being of the students, and parents. She made our family feel so welcome, and we absolutely made the right choice in sending our son here. My son Damien was only at this school for a short period of time. Our family moved shortly after I enrolled him. However, I can honestly say that his teachers, Ms. Pam, and Ms. Debs are two of the best teachers around. Wow. They changed my sons life in a matter of weeks. He became more social, more interested in learning, and more well rounded because of the two of them. I will be forever grateful to both of them. They are an amazing team, who are doing what they are meant to be doing. They made Damien feel so comfortable and so loved, which is all we really want as parents, when we drop our kids off at school. Not to mention, you can't beat the curriculum. Damien was coming home and talking non stop about all he was learning in school and how much he love his teachers. Thank you, Ms. Pam, and Ms. Debs. Keep doing what you are doing. As first time parents, we were very nervous about starting our 2 year-old in daycare. We visited several areas daycare and were still apprehensive, but when we walked into the Goddard School we felt immediately comfortable. Debbie and Alice arranged for tours and we were able to see our daughter's classroom. Later, we had to change our start date due to our daughter's feeding delay and they were super understanding. Our daughter's classroom is just that - it feels like a colorful little school room. Her teachers, Miss Candace and Miss Jaslene are so warm and caring. The classroom is run on a schedule with music played as a segway between activities. Every day we get pictures of our baby painting, playing outside, learning about the community garden, doing science activities, and most importantly learning to interact with other little ones. While this is probably not the norm, our daughter jumped right in and had virtually no separation anxiety. She came home from her first day and wanted to sit on her potty (other kids in her class are potty trained). Her language skills are growing, she is very socially well rounded, and she gets excited on school days. We cannot recommend this school enough! read more

We loved the Goddard School from the day we first visited the school to enroll our son (then 15 months) in school for the first time in 2013. It's been almost 2 years now and our experience has been great. The teachers are very friendly and patient and are always open to suggestions and thoughts. We were quite anxious about our son's transition to school, since he was cared for at home since birth. The teachers helped make the first transition easy and never made us feel that we were asking for too much when we gave suggestions. The owner and school directors are great! They're kind and prompt in answering the calls and quite helpful in case we have to contact the school for anything. The school quite frequently organizes parties, potlucks, fairs etc. and also encourage the parents to bond with their children during these special events. They also organize a date night probably every two months. The school is very clean and hygienic and takes care of minute things like applying sunscreen to children when they go out in sun, informing the parents of any diseases that the child may have been exposed to, padded play areas for children, etc. We would definitely recommend the Goddard School, in Ashburn VA read more

Currently a parent at the Goddard School Ashburn at Reserach Place. My daughter has attend this amazing pre-school since 6 weeks old. Exploring schools Goddard has been my number #1 and only choice. Each teacher has their very own unique style, most importantly their loving care for my daughter as well as others. The Kindergarten program I only have great words and precious moments. The central point and the of the heart of this school is Ms. Alice! We were relocating to Ashburn coming from another Goddard school in Georgia and the actual move of our family was very fluid. I was able to reserve a spot from the beginning for my 4 year old daughter for preschool and later when I found out that actual dates I desperately need a summer camp option for my 6 year old daughter and wanted them both in the same place. Not only were they able to accomplish this but they made us feel at home from day one. Both of our girls were introduced and fit right into their classrooms Lions and Pandas and both of these classes are run phenomenally which again is a testament to Ms. Alice and the teachers running these rooms! As a teacher at Goddard I would like to express that I truly have enjoyed working here as an infant teacher. I have worked at a variety of Preschools in the area but Goddard seems to have captured my heart. Many parents wonder how much an infant can learn but you would be surprised. I haven't worked at a Preschool as organized and enjoyable as Goddard. Many parents also wonder if their child is just babysat. This isn't the case here at Goddard. I'm so glad to be able to use my education and provide simple daily cognitive , gross motor and sensory activities for my infants. I truly feel I have a accomplished "teaching" to infants. So if you are looking for a great infant program where your child can excel from the early years please bring your baby to my infant program. My daughter and niece both attend the Goddard school (research place). The school is accredited by both the AdvancED and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). My daughter just turned 5 in December and she is already in kindergarten this year. Next year she is will go straight to 1st grade at a Loudoun County Public School because of this accreditation. She won't have to stay 1 year behind because she didn't turn 5 by October. The entire staff is very nice. They take their time letting parents know their child's highlight of the day even though that information is emailed to you with pictures of your child. Even at 5-5:30 pm, you can see smiles on the staff's faces. My daughter has been going here for the past 3 years and if this school provided elementary classes, she would have continued here. read more

I've nothing but good things to say about this school! We have not been in the area that long so my twin preschoolers did not start until January. In that short time though, they have come so far both in what they've learned academically and what they've learned socially. I'm rather amazed. I'd been concerned about my oldest daughter's transition to a new preschool during the middle of the year. She does not do well with change. On the tour, she immediately sat down in the room and started interacting with everyone like nothing had changed. That is a big stamp of approval from her. There was still some transition stuff, but the teachers worked with them. My twins will do Pre-K next fall at Goddard, and I am even going to have my 2-year old start at the preschool there. read more

I am absolutely in love with my son's preschool!!!! My almost 5 year old son was always so happy and satisfied coming home from the Goddard School, and that gives us parents great piece of mind. The Staff is wonderful and his teachers, very committed and very loving. Always updating us with new information on his development! I noticed great improving on his interest for learning and got to follow these improvements trough their daily emails with information of what went on that day. Giving me tools to continue talking about it at home. Soon he is starting Transitional Kindergarten and we will all miss the Goddard School very very much. We have been sending out daughter to this school since she was 3 year old and now she is doing Kindergarten (2017-2018). We did go to tour of 4 schools and we spent a good 1 hour leaving our daughter in the school and see which school made her feel comfortable and at the same time which school made us comfortable as a parent - hands down this school made both the parent and the kids comfortable. The owner Madhu and director Alice both are always listening ears for any questions and are always willing to work with us. We are happy with her progress in Math/Reading/Logical thinking and they do have Robotics classes in their school. read more
