The receptionist offered me a cup of coffee and asked if I'd like my husband to wait with me. I was happy to have the company. Soon after my orthodist, Eugene, came in and introduced himself. He asked me a number of questions and did a brief exam of my food and brace before doing the casting. He was very nice and easily answered my questions. All of the staff were pleasant and efficient and the facility was large, clean and well equipped. Kris was the technician assisting me. She was terrific from the first! The office staff was also extremely helpful and worked with me on scheduling so that I could avoid high traffic times. Because things can be a bit slow working through the VA, and because I was also away for a month, so it took quite a while to actually get the orthotics. The results are worth it! Been waiting since February for a prosthetic for my husband's right foot ( it is now July)! For his left foot, it also took many months, months that have left him out of shape and way behind on his rehab. Finally, got a prosthetic for left foot and it doesn't fit properly. Go in for new device and we're told it's not ready yet and to come back later. Completely inconsiderate of customers' time, health or well being. They never call back when I call for assistance or manager. And so much more.
