I notice that the only positive reviews seem to be very shady (pictures from magazines) or local moves only. It is harder to get something wrong with a local move when you can follow the truck to your next location. It is almost been 5 months and we have heard NOTHING from the claims people and will probably never get a cent. They often will try to bribe you over the phone to get you to remove the reviews. It would not surprise me if they are bribing people to put in positive reviews. My claim with another company does not even show up on their site even though we even went through mediation with an appointed mediator. They refused to offer us anything other than a paltry amount to remove this review. 1. They do not conduct an onsite assessment/estimate. Our estimate went through the roof after they arrived. 2. "The requested deposit Reputable movers will NOT demand cash or any large deposit before moving you." They demanded a large deposit before they even came. 3. They did the "hostage goods" situation where they got our stuff and then the estimate was 3-4x's the amount they quoted. They told me we would have to go to court to get my stuff back if we did not pay. 4. They demand cash only. Most reputable companies will take credit cards. They only take credit cards for deposit. 5. The estimate was much lower than anything we received. That should have been a huge red flag. 6. They charge by cubic foot and NOT by the standard pound. 7. Late delivery and pick up. They missed the original pick up date and never called us. We had to call them. They missed another subsequent pick up date. They brought a truck that was too small, and then another truck that was too small. They had to come 3 times for my things. They were not packed properly and every single piece of furniture has corner dents. My items arrived broken. They even threw some away that day to hide it and the trash men came that day and took them away before we could take pictures. 8. They disappeared and will NOT call us back when stuff is missing and damaged. They delivered the wrong stuff and were quick to pick up those boxes yet never have called us back or delivered our missing items. 9. . They put boxes I had already packed into another box in order to inflate the square footage. They tossed items carelessly from my drawers into a larger box and then placed the drawers on top and closed the box. I was charged for the dresser, contents of the dresser, and the drawers by cubic foot. They had the worst packing job. They threw items that were fragile in with textbooks. They put boxes I had already packed into their boxes. They did not label anything despite their website. They also put items from my drawers into a box and then put the empty drawers on top of that into a box. I was charged for the items, the drawers, and the piece of furniture. 10. The company I work for has over 10,000 employees. The reimbursement department said that they have moved people across the country with more stuff than I could possibly have had. They said that this is most that they have EVER seen someone pay for moving in their entire history. I had to go down to their reimbursement department to show proof I had paid that much cash for my move. I am still missing items and they pretty told me that they will not even look for them. They sent me to claims to get paid a measly 60 cents per pound....not the value of the items. For claims, we MAY get the lesser of 60 cents a pound or the cost to fix the furniture. Their claims company requires 3 furniture repair estimates. I live in a small town. I will be lucky to find even one furniture repair estimate. I am so frustrated. They did not count the boxes when the took them and they did not count them when they dropped them off. Many items did not have stickers on them and others had 2-4 stickers on them. We received boxes that day that were not ours and were honest and called the drivers to get these boxes. We still have not received our boxes. They had my review deleted off of this yelp page and had responded to me AFTER they saw this review. They called me an offered me a measly $300 to remove my review, but had yelp remove it. My claim is currently in arbitration with the better business bureau and the local police department is currently investigating them with my filed police report. All of the above reviews were put in AFTER my original review was placed in early May. My review keeps getting reported by this business and yelp keeps not counting it. I have reached out to customer service multiple times about this with no good answers. I want people to know. Check their Better Business Bureau ratings. You will see all the complaints on there.

Literally, I've never felt more taken advantage of in my life. If I can save you from making the same mistake that I did, I'll feel a little bit better about myself. Alright, now where to begin? The first problem with this company is their name, "Global Moving and Storage" The truth is that they're not a "moving" company. They are a dispatch company. They hire people to go pick up your stuff, then they'll "store" it in a warehouse until they can find a freelance truck driver to deliver your stuff. I promise you they will take the full 21 *business* days as stated in the contract to deliver. This is terrible, but it's not the reason I'm writing this review. The reason I'm writing this review, is because of the sales team (which is probably just one guy, Thomas Jones, and probably a fake name) uses ridiculously unethical sales techniques. Here's how my story goes; I submitted my email address to get quotes and Thomas is among the first to call, he asked me to list everything I had in detail. So, I give him a detailed rundown of the stuff I own, item by item, line by line, let him know everything down to the amount of books on my shelf. He seems enthusiastic, he's excited. His quote comes out to 400 cubic square feet for my stuff. I was like, "great dude! I don't know what that means, but great!" The price was $2400 for a full pack/unpack service with insurance, etc. sign me up, that's $1000 bucks under the flat rate contracts i'd been getting quoted for prior to this call. He requires $495 deposit to get the movers started. That's when I felt in my gut that something was fishy. The problem is he flat out lies. Turns out, he misquoted me by 1.2x what I should've been quoted at. He knew, of course he knew, that if he would have quoted me at the actual square footage that HE knew I needed, that I would have likely used another company. And it's true, I would have. This technique is crooked, it's wrong, and it should be illegal. He also lied about the full "door-to-door" packing and unpacking services. He told me that I would just have to "kick back and watch while they unpack your boxes, assemble everything, and remove the cardboard." My move was full pack and unpack: I paid an extra $727 for this service and that did not happen at all. Everything was still in boxes in the living room and absolutely nothing was assembled. He lied about the insurance - the coverage was 60 cents, per pound, per article. That means if they break my $2000 50" TV that weighs 10 pounds, they would only owe me $6 to replace it. So, they broke a ton of things, as expected, and I'm going to get nothing for it. I could keep going, on and on and on about this joke of a company. I'm guessing it's a hand full of scam artists out of St. Louis, Missouri. This company needs to be stopped. The owner of this company is just so pathetic, he or she needs to stop hiding behind legal loopholes and run a legitimate business, not a Donald Trump style business that takes advantage vulnerable people in need of moving.

Aray of Services turned what should have been a straightforward, professional move-out into a…read morefrustrating, disappointing mess, and I would strongly warn anyone against hiring them. My dad hired them to handle a long-distance move from Southern Illinois to suburban Washington, DC, and also paid for a full "Move Out Cleaning" of the home he'd lived in for about 20 years. The move itself was mostly fine, but they still managed to significantly damage an Ikea file cabinet by shearing off some of the wheels while unloading the trailer. That alone raised concerns about their care and attention. Unfortunately, the cleaning job they were paid for was where things truly fell apart. The "move out clean" they delivered was completely unacceptable. Baseboards and high areas that any competent cleaner would know to address were obviously never touched. Dust in those places wasn't light or recent; it was caked on, clearly representing years of buildup, not a few weeks in an empty house. You could still see clear outlines of where rugs had been on the laminate flooring, meaning they did not properly clean or even thoroughly mop the floors. No reasonable person would look at those results and call it a professional move-out cleaning. On top of that, the oven of the electric range--one of the major items that virtually every standard "move out clean" includes--was not touched at all. It was visibly dirty and clearly needed to be cleaned, yet they left it exactly as it was. This wasn't some small oversight; leaving the oven filthy is basic proof that they did not perform anything close to a thorough move-out cleaning, despite being paid specifically for that service. When these issues were raised with Chris, the owner, instead of taking responsibility and making things right, he hemmed and hawed and made excuses. He tried to blame what we were seeing on "six weeks of dust" piling up while the house sat empty. That explanation was insulting. Six weeks of dust does not create hardened, caked-on grime on baseboards and high surfaces, does not produce permanent-looking rug outlines on the floor, and certainly does not account for a dirty oven that was never cleaned. It was obvious this wasn't about time; it was about work that simply wasn't done. A reputable company, when confronted with clear evidence of a poor job, owns the mistake and fixes it. Instead, Aray of Services tried to explain it away and minimize the problems. Between the damaged furniture, the absolutely substandard "move out cleaning," the untouched oven, and the owner's refusal to take real responsibility, they demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. If you're considering Aray of Services for moving or cleaning, especially for something as important as a move-out where the condition of the property actually matters, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. They took the money, cut corners, left major tasks undone, and then tried to spin excuses rather than provide solutions. I would never hire them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
