I had an excellent experience with Two Men and a Truck! My movers were outstanding from start to finish. They arrived early, were extremely thorough and careful with everything, and stayed friendly and professional throughout the entire move. What made it even more impressive was that I was moving out of state. The crew drove from St. Louis, Missouri to Clinton, Iowa the same day they loaded my belongings, then turned around and delivered everything the very next day as early as they could. I was honestly so impressed by their work ethic, communication, and positive attitude through such a long move. Moving is stressful, but they made the entire process go smoothly. I had a jewelry case taken during the packing phase and did not realize it until we were unpacking in the new place. It is taking a long time for them to take care of it. I'm going to call the police if I haven't heard back from them by Tuesday, three weeks after our move, two weeks after I reported it. They dragged their feet moving. This was a terrible experience. The move took 20 hours for 4 guys to move 4 minutes away. I was paying by the hour and then add on drive time to/from their office location. After the move was over, I found boxes clearly labeled in the wrong locations now leaving me to have to find a way to pick up heavy wardrobe boxes and get them upstairs. There are items in my new house that weren't supposed to be taken - they were left for people to pick up. Those items were marked, AND I walked through the whole house and explained it. Also, after they left, I went to my storage in the basement and could barely open the door. Boxes were stacked to the ceiling - including ones clearly marked for other locations. They weren't put on the shelving - just thrown in there covering the electric panel, water heater, and furnace, leaving no access to any of it. I used Two Men and a Truck two years ago, and they were great. I recommended them to my mom a few months ago, and she told me her experience was awful. I thought it was a one-off until I witnessed this myself. I will never use them again, and I will make sure all of my friends, family, etc know about this experience also, so they don't waste a ridiculous amount of money on this type of service. read more

Having Two Men and a Truck handle our move was the best decision we made in this moving adventure! Our move was complicated by numerous building delays and I had to call Jared multiple times to change our moving date. He was always so understanding and respectful. The crew of four men were extremely courteous and hard working. When anticipated space for certain items in new house didn't work they readily moved them to new spots. The scheduler asked good questions to help me make the decisions needed to book their services. The movers very polite but I would not recommend this company two men and a truck ripe offs. For a simple move $980.00 that is outrageous.

The actual moving expense was way over the estimated cost. When I complained about it, they deducted $250. The next issue was they left some of the boxes in the self-storage unit that were to go into the apartment. When I asked them to send someone to my storage unit to retrieve them, they never responded. I also had a dresser drawer damaged to which they never responded. The movers were very polite. They wrapped everything that could have been broken, they broken down the beds like it was nothing, and they were able to get them back together with no trouble at the new house. Moving sucks. It just does. But if you have to do it, hire these guys. They will make you smile and take away SO much of the pain of moving. The team that moved my 89 year-old mom yesterday were just outstanding. They handled everything with exquisite care, as if they were moving their own mother's furniture. And they were nice and cheerful and communicative. Aaaaand we grossly underestimated how much we had and how long it would take, so they put in five unanticipated hours, working until almost 10:00 pm. The extra time meant extra money, and they were very clear and careful about explaining and communicating this. I could not be happier or more grateful to this crew and this company. The first team i didnt have the best experience due to them leaving items. I sent an email, and within a few hours Chris reached out. He fixed the initial issue quickly.. And made things right. He sent out a new team with a manager Brandon. Brandon with the second team also made sure everything got moved. He asked where to put things. He didnt damage anything. The items were handled with care. Both of them were genuine about making my experience better. And they even added a couple heavy items to move for junk removal at no cost. They worked quickly and we had some great convos. It was clear these guys were experienced. Great workers, especially when the temps were over 95. They worked very hard that day. If they take a break, its off the time clock. They were awesome. When they give you a estimate based upon what you tell them, its a guess- estimate. They need it for their scheduling of their time to the next job that day. They basically charge by the hour for their time, which is fair. They don't know if that 500 lb. dresser is up stairs, or out in the garage. I've used them 3 times now and would highly recommend their services in the St Charles and Warren County area. read more

Mo and Cortez were awesome! My husband had injured himself packing so they went the extra mile for us! Highly recommend! I just have to add a little caveat to this review and remove some stars. At the end of our move, we noticed a chip in our dresser. Hard to believe that their offer to remedy this was only $25 off our bill. They said we could wood glue it back together. Accidents happen and we do not blame the crew at all. However, you would think that the company would offer to repair or replace. read more

If the quote seems too good to be true, then it probably isn't accurate. They don't do a walk through to really understand what needs to be moved, it's based on a survey. While the movers were nice and worked hard, the move cost an additional $700 - nearly double the quote. The driver was sick so he brought along an "extra guy" for free. However, it cost an additional $700. That doesn't seem free to me. I would not use 2 men and a truck again. read more

We secured 4 quotes from 4 moving companies. Two Men and a Truck were the lowest bid. The sales person came to our home and went throughout the house to provide the quote. It was obviously a Bait and Switch quote. The actual cost of the move was 3 times the original quote and higher than 2 of the other quotes from their competitors. I have tried to communicate with the company regarding the outcome and continue to get the run around and they are not returning my calls to discuss. The moving crew were all professional and worked hard the entire time during the move. It's a shame the management team chose to ignore my request for an explanation as to the large discrepancies between the original bid provided and the actual cost of the move. I might add once engaged in the process of the move you really have no options to change moving companies. You're just stuck! read more

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. This was the 3rd time using Two Men and a Truck, so obviously I've had good experiences in the past. But not this time. We submitted our inventory list and were told a 26 foot truck would be sufficient. We had a truck and trailer if we needed to use it for things that would not fit-we expected a few items, not a big deal. However I did not expect to have to load a truck, trailer and an additional 26 foot truck. We hired Two Men and a Truck because we didn't want to move ourselves, only to have to do that in the end. The inventory list that was signed off on at delivery had numerous items of furniture and boxes that were not delivered by the movers. I've made several calls and email attempts with no return calls to make this right! I would not recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone for moving, whether it be local or to a different state. read more

Already detailed in writing to Two Men dissatisfaction with conduct/behavior of lead mover. Enough said on that subject. Yesterday went over to do final walk through. Opened hallway closet and discovered movers had placed packed boxes in closet and forgotten. These movers were clearly not prepared and did a sloppy job. Company representative called to offer mileage waiver and just charge for labor. Thanks but no thanks. Stand by how wonderful packers were. When you hire these movers, just know you'll have a lot of additional moving to do. Forgotten items at place of origin - pieces of furniture, shelves, etc. Missed everything in the basement. Storage unit move out: left expensive bike in the hallway- luckily storage manager called us and told us they left it. Took them way too long to move things. Left their drinks and cups (trash) at our origin and destination. Awesome! Missing components of the shelves and bookcases. I have nothing positive to say. read more
