Our Sunday trip was cancelled 3 days in advance due to a forecasted chance of rain. They said they cancelled all rentals Saturday - Monday Memorial Day weekend but we could rebook for Tuesday. Saturday was gorgeous, Sunday was cloudy but dry with Monday the only rainy day. Was too late to book with our companies who were still renting boats but were all booked. New owner of business in 2021. BEWARE! We have rented from the previous owner of this company for the past eight years with no problems and great experience. Rented pontoon boat for half day and would advise anyone considering renting from this company to look elsewhere! Condition of the boat was poor. Moldy, bluetooth could not connect to phone for sound. Rope for anchor was old and frayed. Staff was inexperienced and rude. NO dock lines equipped on boat which led to out boat "tapping" another boat while docking at North Shore Marina. Then the owner of the other boat tried to claim a crack to his engine cover that would have been impossible to cause from the pontoon because it was in a location that could not be touched by the pontoon boat. Owner of Rehoboth Bay Marina ended up charging additional $200 without any marks on the pontoon boat, evidence, proof, or even a follow up conversation with us. They ignored the statements made of this incident from multiple witnesses who gave details when the boat was returned. read more

We rented a pontoon boat which was in PATHETIC condition. Mold all over the seats and really EVERYWHERE. "Leather" was torn and frayed. Equipment was subpar, no ropes to tie up to a dock and the rope for the anchor was a nightmare. Service was terrible. What happened? Did this place change ownership or something? We've rented from this place for the past several years and always had a good experience but this year it was TERRIBLE. We need to find another rental place, this one is an epic fail. read more

I called on Saturday morning prior to the week coming to Dewey Beach and was told plenty of boats available for Friday of my weeks stay. After leaving several messages over the weekend I received no call back and was told on Monday morning they had sold out. My advice would be to be careful about expecting call back on a weekend and rent if you have the chance. I am disappointed they did not try to accommodate my request. The desk staff are excellent, the staff that are at the dock are very nice but the staff out on the ocean are not friendly. I've been renting here for 5 years now with no complaints, but this will be my last year coming to Rehoboth Bay Marina. If you are going to come to a business, the staff need to be professional at all levels. When your on vacation, the last thing you want to do is have a staff person talk down to you when you make a mistake. The final straw was, watch where you park at. We got a 35.00 ticket just for parking in the spaces where it says Rehoboth Bay Marina. When I spoke to the guy inside, he could seemed it of cared less when I spoke of what happened today. So I recommend you not come here and go some where else where you can avoid parking tickets, 54.00 if you don't pay it within 7 days. read more

These guys are the best! We rented a pontoon boat and it was in excellent shape and ran great. We had a total blast! Sometimes people that run marinas can be less than friendly with non-locals, but that wasn't the case here at all. The guys running the marina were friendly, helpful and provided outstanding service. What a great experience! Spoke to a gentleman by the name of Chris about booking a pontoon boat for the day, and was such a pleasant individual on the phone. When we got there, the staff was super friendly and helpful and had all the supplies needed for purchase for a day out on the water. The boat we got was well maintained and ran very well. We rented a pontoon this past weekend and were delighted with all aspects of our adventure. The boat itself was immaculate (like brand new). The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and prepared with everything we could possibly need to have a successful boat rental from parking for multiple cars to lifejackets for the littlest members of our crew. We had some tricky weather roll in quickly while we were out on the Bay and Chris called our cellphones from the shore to give us a head's up and let us know what he was seeing on the radar. I thought that was a very kind gesture. We will be returning to rent from these guys again and I would recommend Rehoboth Bay Marina to everyone considering renting a pontoon for an afternoon. read more

The people who work at this marina are unfriendly & inflexible! My family & I got to the marina (we had reserved a slip for a week) around 4:45pm on the day we were due in Dewey Beach, we had hit a lot of traffic from Long Island. The men behind the desk, we obviously very annoyed that they had to direct my husband into a slip that late in the day. We apologized & explained that we hit traffic, he still had an attitude with us. A few days later, we rented 3 jets skis from them, (it was convenient, was right next to the place we were staying). We had 2 tandem skis & a single. The one my husband & I were on wasn't working right, we tried a few times to see if the speed would pick up & it didn't, so we went back to where we left from & where the staff was standing. They gave us a different ski, but when I asked if they could add 10 minutes to our hour rental because we wasted time trying to get it to work correctly the man said "no, it didn't take you 10 minutes to drive back here" Are you kidding me????? He has zero customer Service skills, would 10 minutes really have made a big difference to the marina? I wish I knew his name, I would post it, but I don't remember. We will not go back to this marina for any reason. I get that the locals may be tired of the tourists come August, but we are the ones that keep you in business!!! Convenient location, friendly staff and reasonable pricing for a jet ski rental. The early morning special will get you a 30 minute rental for $50 (plenty of time to get out to the area and rip around). Watercraft were well maintained, riding area was large, well marked, and well explained. Would recommend for anyone with a need for speed. read more

We had a great time! It has been years since I rented a pontoon boat, but Chris made it super easy. They had parking passes for our cars so we didn't have to worry about parking meters. The staff took their time explaining the boat and the Bay Area so I felt comfortable with everything. The boat was clean and in very good condition. We had four in our party that don't get around well without their canes and Chris made sure everyone got onboard and off the boat safely. The bay was fun and we explored for hours. We went to the sand bar near the Indian River bridge and that was a blast. We anchored outside of the Rusty Rudder and had lunch, which was nice since we didn't have to worry about parking. We came back to the dock area four times during the day to drop off and pick up passengers. One of the most impressive parts of the rental was that each time we came to the dock, Chris and his team were there to help us dock. I don't know how they knew we were coming back, but they were always there and it made docking easy. This was the only part of the rental I was worried about and Chris made it look like I knew what I was doing! The entire experience was easy, pleasant, and fun. I highly recommend Rehoboth Bay Marina for boat rentals and know we will be back soon. read more

My girlfriend and I booked Jet skis from this marina with the goal of exploring Rehoboth bay on a beautiful day. What we got was unreasonable restrictions, and rude staff. Before you launch, the staff makes a point of mentioning that there are many shallow regions in the bay, and that you should stay within the designated buoys to avoid them. This seems like common sense, and of course we complied. But not 10 minutes after we launched, one of their staff pulled up and rudely shouted at us for leaving the 'safe area'. He indicated that he had been unable to see us. Huh??? We had only gone a couple hundred feet from the dock, at best. That guy should get his eyes checked. He pointed instead at a busy area where many boats were coming in to dock and indicated we should move there???? At that point, feeling frustrated and confused about exactly where he wanted us to be, and generally not vibing the atmosphere of the marina, we cut our hour long rental short, and chose to head back. No refunds were offered, and only half hearted apologies were given. I would recommend that anyone looking for a fun and relaxed jet ski adventure look literally anywhere else on earth than Rehoboth bay marina. read more

We rented twice in a week from this joint. The first time we got on a new boat and had a lot of fun. Two days later however the boat we were given didn't have a ladder so they switched us to an older boat with a crappy ladder. The older boat did not steer easily to the left. The stereo, charging ports and horn would not turn on - probably because of an electrical short. The ladder would come off the platform every time our kids would climb up after jumping in the water because the screws that were supposed to hold it in place were completely rusted. Still I would have given them 4 stars if they at least apologized but of course they didn't - let alone offering any remedies. read more
