Cons: The super modern shower has no curtain; just half a pane of glass so your shower water graciously moistens the floor and the toilet paper as you shower. I hate this trend. There was also already some wear and tear and some moldy spots on the bottom of the shower ledge/floor which was not so appealing. We could hear our neighbors walking above our bedroom, the building is stick built new construction so you can hear everything in the hall too. Fine for one night at the beach but would be annoying on a longer stay. Overall a nice place for a quick beach trip. PS I booked it with Southwest points, so it was "free".

There is a large kitchen area, with a small dining table. Comes with plates/utensils etc. The living room area contained a large couch (prob a pull out) and long table for working You can set the temperature for your AC/Heat. Shower had half a glass, space in the back of the shower to place your phone/music equipment, there was soap/hair shampoo dispenser in shower. Bathroom was Very clean! Given the busy upcoming holiday weekend I was not able to get a platinum upgrade in advance but she was able to find us one for the night. The ocean view room was perfect because it not only had a great view but it was totally out of the howling wind so we could enjoy sitting on the balcony. The room itself was one of the smaller Residence Inn suites but this property is not a typical RI building being on the beach. The room was nicely decorated and in good condition. We were in the south building so for breakfast we had to go across the street but that was a minor inconvenience. The dining room was better than most RI breakfast areas though the food was standard fare except for the fantastic oatmeal raisin cookies! The only negative is that they charge $40 /night for parking (a different price showed on their website when I booked). Overall a very positive stay!

What made this especially frustrating was not only the experience itself, but what happened afterward. Despite medical documentation and months of follow-up, the matter was delayed and ultimately denied through the claims process. I have been a Hilton Honors member for nearly 20 years and recently became a Diamond member. I continued staying at Hilton properties because I believed customer loyalty and safety concerns would be taken seriously. Travelers should do their own research and make informed decisions. I'm sharing my experience because I wish I had known more before my stay.

Rating: Incomplete…read more As the Lewes-Rehoboth Beach area becomes an off season short vacation spot for us, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry becomes a very interesting alternative route there from Bucks County, PA. The drive to Cape May takes about two hours, and the ferry with wait time embarking, disembarking and traversing Delaware Bay, another three; the time comparison is not favorable to just driving there directly. However, there is something to be said for taking a short cruise for its potential for relaxation and obvious uniqueness, and the option of spending time in Cape May, which remains more charming than the southern terminus and certainly worth your attention. Too, off-season pricing is very reasonable at $22 per car and $6 per person; making the value proposition outstanding. So, our solution for next year is to make the run by going to beautiful Victorian Cape May for a few days before catching the CMLF across to Lewes, and spending a few more days down there for crabs, fish and more exploration down the Delaware coast. We will decide then whether to drive or ferry home. The Lewes terminal is a comfortable place to hang out for a while, answer questions about the ferry and grab a drink/lunch at Grains, the in house restaurant overlooking the bay and ferry operations. We found our hour there worthwhile and fun. More to come as we fulfill our plan. 5 Star potential!

Having sleep accommodations separate from living accommodations is highly unusual in an Ocean City hotel, and really quite wonderful! The views are lovely, the building quiet, the walk to very wide beach, easy. The walk to food, coffee, ice cream, entertainment, so convenient. In addition, they offer free parking, paper towels, soap and a fully-loaded kitchen with a real coffee pot! Granted, the building is aging and could use some updates and a facelift, but so is every other hotel in the city. This obviously is not the fault or responsibility of the hotel staff. The staff is overworked; the hotel understaffed. Please be patient and kind. If they don't get to your room on your time, the front desk is there to accommodate, and has extras of everything needed. I watched the amount of grief piled upon the staff as I was waiting for my room to be ready (we were very early for check-in). Frankly, the rudeness and intolerance was difficult to observe. Ocean City is not a five-star town; never was. Hotel staff is not responsible for that. Know what you are in for before you go, enjoy the beach, the old-world charm, and old-school fun, or perhaps choose to drive/fly elsewhere for a more refined experience.

She also called her to check in on her while she was driving. It was storming really bad. I don't know of any motel staff to have ever done this. It really meant a lot. The parking is free and easy. The motel is a short walk to the beach and only a hop on the beach bus to get to the boardwalk. This would be a better option to walking because it is almost three miles to the boardwalk. The bus is $4 cash (exact change only) and you can ride all day. There are several places to eat within walking distance. If you are on a budget, not looking for lavish amenities and want a clean place to lay your head, you will be fine here.

First thing, customer service over the phone was extremely good, I called a few times with a few questions and they answer them respectfully and with no rush. Upon arrival, checking was smooth and welcoming. The complex has a luggage cart, which that was a great help for us because we had A LOT of stuff, there is also an elevator. The complex is extremely clean and doesn't smell like dogs are around. The staff are welcoming and helpful. There's a guy named Steve, he is so nice. One of the days we were there it rain in the AM and my boys wanted to go in the pool after. He came and made sure the pool was clean. The next day he was cleaning it early making sure it was ready for the guests. The rooms are clean and smell clean. The pictures of the room speak for itself. We had a room with a kitchenette and it brings lots of items. The beach is 1 block walking distance. Just get ready in your room and walk up. Locals are so welcoming. They have a few shopping places around also within walking distance. The boardwalk is not close by. We are set that is our place of choice from now on.
