I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. Unfortunately I couldn't do earlier than scheduled but appreciated them asking! My time slot was 4-6 pm. They showed up at 4:05! Wow! I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. They were super polite as well. They emailed me my invoice with pictures of everything they did today. I highly recommend Markool for your cooking needs!

I called at 4:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and left a message on his emergency number. The alarm went off on our ejector pump and had stopped working. He called right back and said he would check if he had one in his warehouse. He called back and said he didn't and would pick one up in the morning and come over. He arrived at 9:30 am. He had it replaced in 2 hrs. He was prompt, clean, pleasant and knowledgeable. Wore a mask and entered through our downstairs door. Explained what to do if the alarm went off again. Also. very reasonable. If we have future plumbing problems, I would definitely use him again.

Event 1. fluid appeared in a light fixture and slowly…read moreaccumulated over a number of hours becoming eventually identifiable as water - as opposed to oil such as from electrical component. We phoned the Turnbaugh business who we had used previously upon recommendation of a sewer contractor. The first rep arrived shortly but wanted to cut a hole in the ceiling - even without much investigation. So we objected and another technician was directed to our location. He did some investigation but was unable to locate the source of the leak. In the meantime, water was filling our light fixture so that I felt it necessary to drill a drain hole to avoid pulling the fixture from the ceiling. This removed some urgency from plumber's services but the leak was still unsolved so we waited 1-2 hours until James became freed from another job. When he arrived he used his hearing and certain tools to help locate the source of the water leak - a big job since our residence has the plumbing divided between apartments each inaccessible from the other. What he found was TWO leaks, one in our bath (a very slow one in the form of a fine spray - like a previously repaired one ) and a second one running from the adjacent apartment! To reveal our leak it became necessary to cut into the wall or floor. By selecting the floor under a cabinet, James was able to access the leak without causing damages requiring expensive repairs. Both were repaired to our satisfaction and we were not billed for all the work until sufficient time elapsed to prove the permanence of his work. :-) Event 2. We needed to replace our 15-year old water heater not because of water leaking but because of unreliable temperature control. The space available for the heater was small but he found a suitably-sized heater with modern controller and improved efficiency thru better insulation. I might have been able to do the job myself but the piping was all solid (no flex pipe used; by my preference) - beyond my capability to do. So, multiple cheers for Turnbaugh - and two BIG CHEERS for the Turnbaugh Team's latest services!

we started with a five year-old unit purchased from a company they bought a couple of years ago…read more Unfortunately, the unit was no longer operating, and premier determined it was a coil issue. The good news was it was under warranty, and we would only be responsible for the coolant and the labour. That estimate and the upselling of a warranty program that would give us a discount on their hourly labour ran $700 before they ordered the coil. The coil arrived and our bill was $2400. $350 of that was coolant, and the flat rate labour charge was a little over $2000 for one technician working 2 1/2 hours. That's right, over $800 an hour. My reason for posting this is that if you use these people, and they are giving you fixed rate labour for the repair, consider getting a second bid according to Google the hourly rate in Greencastle as of August 2026 is between $75 and $160 an hour. The technician, Brady, couldn't have been better or nice nicer. The problem is not with their people or their work. The problem is they have taken what most people do hourly and made it a fixed rate for labour and hope that you do not notice. Unfortunately, I noticed too late. Please learn from my mistake. Consider going elsewhere or at least getting a second bid.
