Wise Choice uses a platform for selecting materials and so forth that was great in theory, rather questionable in practice, and our wires got crossed more than a few times. The time issue was simply that the projects took a bit longer than we'd planned. The time problem though was at least partly our fault (changing our minds about design, etc), and that was compounded by suppliers actually sending the wrong product on occasion, so certainly not all a Wise Choice issue. Other than that, they were great to work with, very pleasant people all around, very conscientious (cleaning up work spaces thoroughly every day), and the entire project came in under budget! They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the drywall, revised his initial estimate accordingly, and came in exactly on time and exactly on estimate. Nate is fabulous and you should hire him. I'm trying to think of something non-glowing to say... sometimes he can express his opinion strongly. Yes we had to hire an attorney and who knows if we will ever get our funds back. He is an ace talker. Can sell ice cubes to an Eskimo. Always had an excuse for everything when we questioned the lack of work. He told workers the owners (US) didn't pay him so he couldn't pay them. Classic BS. We are not happy as we thought we had a relationship with him and yes it's true we never should have kept giving him more money when he asked. As of today the complete job is paid in full (our bad). The house is a destruction zone. Barely livable and only 60% from being done. This has been a nightmare to say the least. Evidently he has a claim for exactly the same situation with another home owner. He never returned a rental trailer to Home Depot in Bonney Lake Wa. And owes Honey Bucket money too. He is currently "rebranding his company" to a new Lic# and name. Please be careful out there. Don't fall victim to these people. I seriously don't know how they sleep at night.
